I registered for the ACLS class, it was my first time applying. I didn't know exactly what to expect being that I have had my BLS since being a nurse. The class is offered in two parts, the first part is online algorithms, study material to be reviewed before coming in to perform the hands-on. The instructor was amazing and made the class intriguing and fun. Aaron is very skillful in 911 drug administration and knowledgeable when it comes to saving lives. There are cheaper alternatives but I'm glad I chose Vive CPR. I mentor two youngsters, 11 and 13, and I took them both to this four hour session. We walked into a well-prepared classroom environment and were taught by Jason, a retired firefighter of 35 years (and a real-world hero in my eyes). It felt very reassuring to be taught by someone who has literal hands-on experience, someone who has been in hundreds of situations where he has had to use these skills. Jason was able to deliver the necessary information in a way that was both serious enough to feel this heavy responsibility, and yet clear enough that my two boys were absolutely clear about what actions may need to be taken in an emergency. As for me, I think this in-person teaching will be much more useful to me than online learning, should a real situation ever arise. I will simply ask myself WWJD... what would Jason do? read more

Great class for renewal for BLS for Healthcare providers. I've done AHA classes on the web with in-person skill check, as well as multiple classes with Vive CPR. I prefer the in-class environment with Vive CPR, because the amount of time spent practicing makes me feel more confident in my skills. An added bonus is Aaron makes it easier to understand what real life CPR would be like in a home vs small medical practice vs a full-scale medical facility. His real-life experience in doing CPR was great, because he understands nuances of using various masks vs mouth-to-mouth, or neat little tricks to make rescue breathing easier to manage. TL;DR- Stop searching for another provider, you've found the perfect one. Book with them and thank me later. The Vive CPR team is amazing. I just had them perform a full CPR/AED/First aid training for a large group at my work, and they handled the large group no problem. They are much more reasonably priced than any other alternative provider I had found, and their class content and engagement was far better than the Cintas led classes I have taken in the past. The team they brought onsite was punctual, professional, and extremely engaging and entertaining. Their practice dummies are state of the art with little LED's that indicate when you are doing the right speed and rhythm of chest compressions, which is a great visual tool. As an added bonus, I actually found them by attending a free public event they did where they were giving back to the community by providing a basic CPR overview and the use of life saving naloxone. Overall they are just great people with a strong interest in providing people with the knowledge and skills they would need to potentially save someone's life. Last month we witnessed a gentleman having a serious medical emergency at a restaurant; thankfully an RN was at the next table and she came to his aid. I felt helpless and realized those few minutes waiting for EMTs to arrive are precious to the person in distress. Signing up online for class was simple. It was about $100 for the 4 hr class. Lots of convenient dates and times. I don't need a certification card so I got a small discount. The students were a mix of professionals needing certification for their jobs and citizens wanting to be prepared. The instructor Aaron stayed on track, made sure the class met the needs of different students, and has real world experience in the field. It was a mix of lecture, video demos, practice on dummies, with a lot of interaction. An obstacle for me is that I can feel self conscious when there is a practical demonstration in a class, however Aaron kept the atmosphere friendly, helpful, and gave constructive feedback so that everyone could learn. We could see, touch, and use equipment such as faceshield/pocket mask, AED, and tourniquet. I went mainly for the CPR training but also had an interest in understanding how narcan is used for opioid overdose, since it's now available over the counter. Aaron covered this topic also and distributed narcan for students who wanted one. I hope I never need to use this training and I'm SO pleased that I will know what to do if it does happen. read more
