Dr. Susan Adham is truly one of a kind! When I had my son in June, he was only 5 lbs 1 oz and had blood sugar issues, so his circumcision was delayed. Dr. Adham was out, so we first saw Dr. Hill -- she was polite but very by-the-book. She told me to fortify bottles for weight gain and said "formula is perfectly fine," but it didn't feel supportive of my breastfeeding goals or include a plan to get back to exclusive nursing. Two weeks later, we saw Dr. Adham and the difference was night and day. She celebrated my son's weight gain, supported my breastfeeding journey, and truly listened. When I asked about circumcision, she caught something everyone else missed -- a curvature called chordee -- and referred us to a urologist. He'll need surgery, and had she not noticed, it could've caused major issues later. She's compassionate, thorough, and genuinely cares. We're so grateful for her! read more

Believe the hype!! Pediatricians, or should I say, good pediatricians are slim pickin's in this neck of the woods. Well, Dr. Adham is the greatest!! You can tell she genuinely LOVES her work and loves babies. Let me start by saying that I am a worry wart when it comes to certain things and my baby is one of them. I am constantly worrying about whether everything is normal and on track with my little one. Dr. Adham is VERY personable, thorough, and engaging. She does not rush you out of the exam room and gives you as much time as needed. She is also patient in answering all my new mommy questions. My only gripe is with the appointment call center and front office staff. I wish there was better organization. For example, I called to make an appointment about 3 weeks in advance. The day before the appointment I called to confirm my appointment and was told I was all confirmed and ready. Later that afternoon I received a call from the front desk staff needing to switch her appointment to 1 hour later. Although this is not a big deal ... this seems to be a common problem within this office and therefore should be improved. I'm looking forward to a long lasting relationship with Dr. Adham for all my baby health needs ... she is the best!! read more

I should have written this review a long time ago, but no, I was greedy. I didn't want you all to know about what an amazing and wonderful pediatrician Dr. Adham is. I liked not having to wait to see her and I figured maybe if I kept it quiet the waiting room wouldn't fill up. Well, that was selfish, so here is my honest review. You should all know that Dr. Adham is so full of joy that it's infectious. She's wonderful with kids and it comes from her heart. My children have been seeing her for the past five years and she is a top notch pediatrician. She caught my daughter's heart defect, she's accurately diagnosed every little thing and talked us through it. Heck, the only reason we even found her was that right after we moved to the area my eldest son bonked his head diving off the couch into the coffee table and she was the only one who could see us the same day. Her office staff and nurses are all stellar. I think once over the last 5 years I waited 15 minutes and thought how weird it was that my appointment was not right on time. Dr. Adham is like a Mary Poppins type where she is just magically delightful. Just yesterday, my wife and I spotted her in the parking lot at Streets of Brentwood and rolled down the window and hollered at her because we love her so much and then next thing I knew she was offering us pastries that she had magically pulled out of nowhere a la Mary Poppins. You want your kids to have a really positive experience and develop trust with their first doctor. Dr Adham is nailing it. read more

I have 3 kids and they all go with Dr. Adham. She is by far the best doctor I have ever run into. She is smart, fun, and loves kids. It is rare but when we do not get an appointment with her we get Dr. Hill which is also a very good doctor. Love, Love, Love Dr. Adham!!! read more

Dr. Adham is a dream pediatrician! I was referred to her by my OB/GYN and for good reason; she's awesome! She eliminated any 'first time mom anxiety' I would have had with infant doctor appointments by caring for and loving my daughter as though she were family. If I could give Dr. Adham 100 stars I would. She is caring, listens and really loves kids. She takes the time to make sure everything is ok and answers all of your questions including my 'paranoid mom' emails about every little thing in a timely manner. I'm going to be so sad once my son turns 18 as he will no longer need a pediatrician. Dr. Adham has been both of my daughter's pediatrician. I love doctor appointments with her because I love seeing how excited she is to see my babies. Trusting someone with your child's health is something I hadn't seen as such a big deal until I gave birth. I am so glad I found her. Dr. Adham always takes her time and sits with us during appointments. She takes the opportunity to hold and cuddle my girls. I have not experienced this with other pediatricians. While I get it's not a playdate, children are people too and building relationships with a doctor should start right at the beginning. If there is a health issue, she does everything in her power to figure it out. My daughter had RSV this year, and she called me late after hours to talk to me personally and brainstorm solutions to provide comfort and promote healing. If you can get this doctor, do it! read more

What can I say about Dr. Adham? She truly is the BEST. Caring, attentive and actually listens to her patients. She knows her patients and is very personable each and every time we visit. Unfortunately my son got sick and got to know Dr. Adham well. She correctly diagnosed him and without her quick thinking and trusting her instincts my son wouldn't have gotten the care and treatment that was desperately needed. My job just recently switched insurance carriers so I was having a hard time picking a Pediatrician for my 2 children. Through my insurance provider's website I came across names of pediatricians. A friend of mine told me to research the doctors through Yelp. I yelped Dr. Adham's name and her reviews were amazing so I decided to give her a try. I have to say that I was very impressed with her and her office staff. Dr. Adham is a wonderful person and made us feel at home. She asked my kids questions to get to know them and even shared some of her own experiences with us. I am looking forward to her caring for my children and am sure they are in good hands with her. I love this woman! After switching medical coverage, I had to find a new pediatrician for my daughter, and the first time I met Dr. Adham was for my baby's one-year checkup. She is so attentive and thorough and I felt like she really took her time with us; I never felted rushed. She has a laid-back demeanor and she was so affectionate with my baby. Dr Adham is by far the best pediatric doctor one can hope to find. She is kind and always willing to answer questions. She also cares enough for my children's well being to call and check up on them after the visit. She also takes calls to answer questions rather than the usual "we can leave the dr a message or just bring your kid in" line. She is the BEST! She also perks my sick boy up with little gifts. I was excited to schedule an appointment for a meet and greet with Dr Adham after receiving a recommendation from my OB/GYN and reading the positive reviews here. My husband rescheduled all of the appointments he had on his schedule to accompany me to meet with Dr Adham. Here it is now, two days before the meet and greet, and I received a voicemail asking to call back regarding the appointment. Confused by the extremely vague message, I called the office. I explained to the call center operator that I received a cryptic message and needed to speak with someone actually in the office. After answering a series of questions I didn't know the answers to due to the lack of detail in the message and being put on a lengthy hold, I was finally connected to someone in the office only to learn that they had no record of the appointment I had made. Speaking with someone evidently not directly connected to the doctor, the only option I was given was to schedule an appointment two days before my due date. Frustrated and now anxious, I explained that was cutting it a bit too close, and was told I would hear back from the doctor's actual assistant. I missed her call by two minutes and called back the office immediately only to hear the call center operator claim that she had left some twenty minutes prior. When I explained that she had literally two minutes ago left a voicemail and to please actually check the office, I was put on hold and told that yes, she had in fact left twenty minutes ago and was given a nasty attitude on top of it all. Perhaps not an indication of the doctor herself but of the lack of competence of the call center you have to go through to schedule appointments for or to speak with anyone in the doctor's office. However, still appropriate for this review, as dealing with the Sutter East Bay call center is an unfortunate necessary evil for patients of this doctor. I'm truly saddened and disappointed and wish that I'd had a better experience. read more

We now live in SoCal but always remember how wonderful our experience with you have been. Dr. Adham is the best!!! We have been with her for about 3 years. She is amazing with all three of my children, (ages 5 yrs, 3 yrs, and 7 months). She takes her time, listens, and is very personable, warm and down to earth. You never have to wait long when seeing her and she always returns phone calls. She is by far, the best pediatrician in the area. Her staff is also wonderful. Her medical assistants are very friendly and knowledgable too. Wish I could give her more than 5 stars!!! Let me just say I've only had 1 other pediatrician aside from Dr. Adham and she is truly and honestly the best pediatrician any parent can choose for their child! I absolutely love her and enjoy how my kids love her and the interaction she has with them. Her staff is great as well! We are recently new to Dr. Adham. I have nothing but positive things to say about her. Firstly she asks the child/patient what is wrong with them, and then asks the parent when she is done. My son LOVED that. Secondly she is QUICK. We come from Dr. Mahdavi where the wait time before you even get seen can be close to an hour and half to two hours. She is on time. Thirdly she is VERY thourough. She knows you are the parent and you know your child and she respects that. She is very on top of her emails should you need to email her. I only wish she could be MY primary care doctor. I have nothing negative to say. Not one thing. If I could give her a gold star, I would make it glitter because she IS the best. I wish we would have switched sooner. I had a guilt/loyalty to Dr. Mahdavi. But this BlueRock location is much more convenient for us. Dr. Adham ROCKS!
