Dr Heo is good, but her team always make mistake. Dr Heo gave me a lab order to draw blood after 6/1. I went, lab said the order is after September. I contact office , office told me it is corrected. 2nd time went, still not corrected. Call to request correct. Be told it was corrected. Send 3rd time. Still not corrected. I did not eat for 12 hr fasting. Now don't know how many more hour need to wait to have them correct it. Customer service said they will correct it asap. Now wait for 1 hr, still not corrected. I have seen Dr. Heo on a couple of occassions. The most recent was for asthma that turned into a bronchial infection. Dr. Heo spent plenty of time asking about my history and symptoms. She checked me thoroughly and also asked me what treatments have worked in the past. It was nice to see that a doctor trusted that I might actually know somehting about my own body after 40+ years. We discussed a plan of action, she sent the prescriptions to my pharmacy and before I could drive across town they were ready and waiting for pick-up. I had a follow-up appointment two months later so we could discuss how the program was working and if any changes needed to be made. I requested a few changes and she agreed. I did not feel strung along with additional appointments. If you are unsure of what YOUR INSURANCE is not going to cover you should contact them in advance and let them know what you are going to see the doctor for. They can provide you with a quote. Be pro-active and you are more likely to save yourself some money and definitely have better overall health. Your doctor is your health advocate, not GOD. Like others, I love Dr Heo. She's caring, compassionate, and treats me as if I'm her only patient. I recently went thru life-changing surgery and saw her for a follow up. She knew everything I went thru, even though my surgery was done by a doctor in another group. She sat with me for a good 30 minuets and just listened - something a lot of doctors don't do. I am so disgusted with Dr. Heo's office. I had a three month window to get paperwork done for a master's program that I started at the end of August. Dr. Heo's office insisted that I be there to have the paperwork filled out, even though it is a matter of looking at my records and checking boxes. It is not simple to take time off for me. My school is in Stockton and is an accelerated program where I have to see clients every week and I have to be there until at least 4:00 every day. I gave the receptionist a list of times that I could come in. Apparently the doctor never has any appointments after 3:00. I finally found a time where I could skip class and come in. The office called me and canceled the appointment two weeks before, with no explanation. Obviously it was not an emergency because it was not last minute. So I spend a good 15 minutes on the phone trying to find another time that worked, to no avail. The receptionist finally said that I could see another doctor in the office. I asked her if she was sure another doctor would be willing to do the paperwork if he had never met me. She said it was just a matter of looking at my records. So I spent another ten minutes trying to find a time that would work. I finally found another time where I could skip class and make the appointment. The office called again to cancel the appointment because the second doctor was questioning why he would do my paperwork if he had ever met me. I am now very close to the deadline for the paperwork and if I don't get it done, they have the option of kicking me out of school. My only option may be to pay cash to go see a doctor at the student health center where I would be required to go through physical exams that I had done within the last year by Dr. Heo. I also need vaccinations so I will have to spend about $400 and get naked for someone I have never met, which gives me great anxiety. I explained all this to the receptionist and she could not have cared less. This is literally the worst experience that I have ever had with a doctor's office. read more

I was put in a position to find a new doctor and reading reviews really helped. I hope this one helps others out. Dr. Joline Heo is WONDERFUL! My husband was diagnosed with Type2 diabetes and our world was turned upside down. We had to look for a new doctor since the one we had was not working with us at all. We meet with Dr. Heo for the first time last week (4/7) and my husband and I walked out of there relieved and hugging each other because we were so happy we finally found a physician that listened to us, explained in full detail her health plan for my husband and took our ideas and suggestions and came up with a plan we couldn't be happier about. We are following up in a couple of weeks and she is going to stay on top of my husbands care. She is kind, knowledgeable, helpful, undertstanding, listens to you and generally cares. So very happy we found her and we will be switching our whole family to her as our Primary Care Physician. I made an appointment two wks in advance for a physical that my insurance was supposed to pay for at 100%. I got a cold in the meantime. I went anyway because I wanted my physical. She did not give me a physical and charged me $329 for an office visit because I had a cold and she gave me Rx. My insurance applied it to my large deductible because it was no longer preventative. Ok so now I need to pay for a visit. Fair enough. But $329 for a 15-20 minute visit. She didn't even look in my throat or listen to my chest. $329??!!! I can't even believe that there is such a price for an office visit. She asked me to come back for a follow up visit that was over $200. for here to say--yes, you still have a cold. I went to the visits in March of 2013 and got my first surprise bill on July 23,2013. I have asked for a reduced office visit fee but they will not work with me at all. This is highway robbery. There was no talk abut any fee at all when I went it. They indicated that it would be covered because it was for my yearly physical. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. read more
