There is not much to see or do during Covid-19 but this was a nice little history learning activity for a Sunday, and our tour guide who walked us through the home and teaching us about Susan B. Anthony was amazing. About $8.00 per ticket online included service fee I think all things considered it was worth it.

    An astonishing collection, accessibly displayed!

In the small museum world, this tiny gem is enormous and important. Paired with a visit to one of their sponsors in nearby North Adams, Lynda's Antique Clothing Loft, our recent visit made for a remarkable, educational, exciting and thoroughly enjoyable day.

The Susan B. Museum is great! I had such a wonderful time there! Colleen Janz the executive director gives an amazing enthusiastic and well orated tour. She is well versed in the life history Susan b. Anthony and gives many great anecdotes about the life of Susan and her family. The museum is a bit hard to find but definitely worth the trip up! They have done a wonderful job of turning this historic 1817 home into a museum.

The kids especially loved the boat ride and the narrow walkway at the end. The guides were informative and entertaining. I was impressed how they were able to keep a bunch of excited kids interested and safe. The cave is clean and well lit. The stalagmites are very interesting to see. They have a gift shop, pastry shop and apparently a cafe. My youngest son has never been so maybe I'll come back with him some time soon.

My tour group had 39 people!! We were so crammed on the boats at the end one family of adults had to squeeze 4 in a row. It made it hard to hear the tour guide and we were tripping on one another almost at a few times. And the elevators were the worst. We were crammed in like sardines. Very claustrophobic. Our tour guide Ethan was very friendly, but there were a few guides that passed by us in the cave that had rude tones. They'd holler at us to move to the left.. "no her left" "you need to move" they'd scream.. Again just too many people down there at once I think. The cave itself, the tour guide Ethan, everything else was good. Just wished there were fewer people included on our tour so we could really enjoy it more.

We were hungry and with most of the restaurants closed or closing soon, Jacob offered to make us some chicken tenders. They were absolutely delicious and really hit the spot. You have a variety of choices for breakfast - warm muffins, croissants and chocolate croissants, fruit, oatmeal, cereals, granola and your choice of teas as well as coffee, cappuccino, and macchiatos from a machine I wish I had at home. Starbucks watch out...lol. The warm croissants are made each and every morning by Jacob. Our Mountain View room had a king size bed, which was so comfortable and oversized pillows that felt like clouds. Everything was so luxurious and very clean. Coming back to our room on Valentine's Day, we found a box of chocolates and a Rose left on our bed. What a pleasant surprise! You can tell that Jacob, his family and staff really love what they do. It's this small family feel that you will not find at any hotel chain. Downstairs there's a lounge area with board games, a foosball table and lots of places to sit, eat, read, talk and just relax. There's a separate building with a heated pool and a sauna right outside. We didn't get a chance to use this, but look forward to it the next time. You have access to the Windham Path right from the property as well. Lots of restaurants in town and our favorite breakfast place, Clutch and Throttle is a must go to. And make sure you visit the Gem Mercantile for your clothing needs or gifts to take back home. We are looking forward to another visit to Hotel Vienna in the future.

I booked the 3-hour obstacle course and zip line adventure for myself and my 10-year old daughter. We finished the Ground Course - learning how to use the buckles, cables, and connections. From there, we moved on to the multiple obstacle courses. After about 2+ hours of going through the obstacle courses, we moved on to the zip lines. Everything was going smoothly until my daughter got stuck in the middle of the 4th or 5th zip line. One of the instructors raced out, made contact with her, and brought her safely back to the next station. From there, we finished up and made our way to the ground. The staffing was excellent and very helpful. This is a place you can bring the family if they can overcome their fears of height. It was an insane amount of fun and would repeat in a heartbeat.

I got to my suite and found what appeared to be a large, clean and well appointed room. I then noticed that the couch was in disrepair, although I did see a sign in the lobby at check-out saying that they were going to start renovations next month. The night was uneventful. The bed was comfortable and I got a good night's sleep. The next morning, I went to the free breakfast. They had fewer choices than most hotels offering free morning eats. I had a plate of scrambled eggs, once again disappointed by them not offering breakfast potatoes. The biggest problem wasn't discovered until I tried to brush my teeth after breakfast. They have 2 sinks, one in the bathroom where the toilet is, the other in the room where the shower is. I used the one where the shower is for the 1st time after showering. I discovered water rising quickly in the sink. I tried the handle to open the drain. It didn't work. I let them know before I checked out. Not sure if I would stay here again.

When this place opened many moons ago as a Holiday Inn (that's why the address lists the street as…read moreHoliday Way) I stayed here on business for several days and had a nice stay. There was an upscale restaurant down the road and generally it was an easy place to book at a time before AirB&B. I potentially needed an accessible room so this was the only option for miles. It was, unfortunately, a short but disappointing stay overall. Let me say that the best part of this experience was the person on the day shift who answered the phone and checked about accessible rooms (you can't get one if your party has more than 2 people in a room-you have to book a second room, so double the price). The check in person also was able to move our room across the hall so we were not up against the highway. He offered up free water bottles for each of us. So far so good. Entering the room, there was a strong smell of deodorizer or cleaner. The double queen room was spacious enough and the refrigerator worked well. A microwave was also available. The bathroom floor seemed new and was overall clean. The toilet flush gurgled but it operated fine. The faucet was replaced at some point but was crooked and the drain stopper was missing its top. Everything in the room was painted in various shades of tan except for the back of the bathroom door which was painted white with a roller since no one cut in along the hook, knob hinges or the floor. The room space itself was stark in that there was no art or decor on the walls except for two mirrors and the triangular headboards. If you wanted to used the drawers, you were limited as the night stand was missing all of the hardware and the bureau was missing 1/4 of them. All the furniture shows signs of dings, dents and distress. The carpet was stained in multiple spots including a 3" diameter red circle on the outside wall that looked like someone had dumped a whole bottle of nail polish. The two chairs at the desk/table were mismatched. One was probably original as the foam was two dimensional. The other was a green banquet chair identical to those in the breakfast room and similar to those in the former Holiday Inn Ballroom in the basement. The air conditioning cooled enough but was malfunctioning as everything in the room, including our clothes, was damp when we dressed in the morning. Coffee and hot water is available 24/7 in the breakfast room. The coffee and water was pleasantly hot in the late afternoon as they did not use air pots like many hotels. I had to got to the front desk for napkins. Upon re-entering our room after getting coffee I understood why they had sprayed our room as there was a strong smell akin to body odor. The bed sheets appeared very clean but the mattress itself was very soft and uncomfortable . The deodorizer must also have been used on the beds as it permeated our sleepwear. We smelled it as we unpacked our clothes at the next stop. Breakfast had a few carb-forward choices and small yogurts. We were glad we had brought something from home, just in case. One of us went out to our vehicle parked on the east side of the building in the early evening . A female employee (?) was sweeping. Two other women were there as well, one on the bench and a third who did not appear to be guest or an employee talking to the sweeping woman. She was dressed in a cleavage revealing top and a leopard skirt that ended where her legs began. When I reported all of this (with less detail) via the Quality Inn survey, I received a terse reply not addressing anything except my observation of the woman in the lot. They implied that the third woman was an employee and that my observation of this person's dress was in "poor taste." I'm not sure what role the woman in question has in that business, but perhaps the person in charge of HR for this location might need to address workwear, if she was in fact an employee. However this might be why this place is in such disrepair. In a public facing business where perception is equally important as the product and service, management here is focused only on being defensive when guests bring up issues. No, I won't be returning.

They were very accommodating, even the housekeeping staff was friendly and accommodating. Clean rooms, in good repair, convenient location. The rates, for the quality, are very good. My only negative is the parking lot lighting is insufficient.

They responded to my email immediately and were more than happy to accommodate us. Coming from Albany, this is a bit of a drive at about an hour. The first part of the drive is fine but as you get closer to Williamstown on Rt 2, it can be challenging in bad weather. The museum and grounds are absolutely spectacular. Signage leading to the museum is great and we were able to locate it right away. They have a convenient drop off area that's perfect for those with ADA accessibility needs. Parking was convenient, easy and plentiful. Check in was a breeze and they had the reserved wheelchair waiting for us. The museum is absolutely gorgeous, clean, well lit and phenomenally well curated. There are great works by Renoir, Degas, Manet, Monet, Sargent, and Mary Cassat. I was impressed to see they also included a number of lesser known formal artists in their new acquisitions. There was a great sculpture by Edmonia Lewis, a sculptor of African American and indigenous descent active in the late 1800s, that was very impressive. Bathrooms were immaculately clean. They have a cute station near the bathrooms with free postcards. They will even mail them for you! This place is a little out of the way, which I later learned was because the founder, Sterling Clark, wanted to ensure the artworks were safeguarded in a remote location in case of a war targeting major cities. He lived through WWII and had to flee France and had some of his property destroyed there. Another amazing feature of this museum is their remarkable museum store which has the usual museum store items like bags and scarves and magnets and postcards, but also has an amazing and well priced selection of art books. The most expensive book I purchased was $20 for a softcover on the history of the museum and my fiancé scored a gorgeous hardcover book on the Renoirs for only $15. Staff again here was friendly and kind. We can't wait to go back and check out the grounds and trails when the weather is warmer. If you're driving here from distance make sure you've got a full tank of gas and are comfortable driving on some back roads. We drove back to Albany in a snowstorm on Rt 2, which was a bit harrowing.
