These are an upgraded from basic models. I did this because I have been wearing Oticon OPN found there is a HUGE difference in my hearing. I have moderate to severe loss of hearing in the higher frequencies and tinnitus The Oticon Real provide crisp clear edge to all sounds! I can hear so much more than I could previously. Conversations with friends, family and coworkers are easy to understand and I feel like these aids have opened up a part of me that has been suffering with loss.
