Evening of Oct.28,25. Cold to barely luke warm food. Very minimal offerings, mostly empty food…read moretrays not being replenished. Hottest item was the soup, however hot and sour soup not very tasty. All might have tasted better if it had been hot. No offerings such as sushi, fresh cooked wok items. Nothing special about the desserts, even the ice cream was half melted. Overall decor extremely shopworn and beaten up. Place in desperate need of a redo. Bathrooms ancient, not very clean, overflow storage all over the place. $32.00/person before taxes. A total ripoff for what was offered. Advise everyone to pass this on by and go up the street to well run and far better restaurants offered to Lasalle residents.

When we went here, there wasn't anyone else in the restaurant, so I'm not sure how long the food sat out - but yikes. Everything was pretty old and stale. Weirdly enough, even the oranges were prob. the most sour oranges I've encountered. For a buffet, the selection of food was rather grim with not too many choices. Food was meh throughout - egg rolls were okay, but the "wonton" soup simply was just broth with floating pieces of wonton wrappers - there was no meat, wth?! Numerous other dishes were so forgettable that I don't even remember them.

Under 30$ is a fair price for a buffet that includes all you can eat sushi. The sushi was fine considering the price. The hot buffet had the usual dishes. The fried white fish was quite good. Not the beat buffet I had but very respectable. They had shrimp, frog legs and dumplings which surprised me.

No name tags on anything to indicate what the food items were. There a small section with 3-4 kinds of sushi which weren't fresh. The seaweed wrap was very rubbery. The spicy mayo was on the table beside the sushi rack when it should be in the fridge or in a cool section because it's mayo or it goes bad. The side of the hot foods there is barely any choices. The Sweet and sour soup was horrific in taste. The wonton soup barely had any meat. The fried shrimp was soggy, the fake crab with cheese on top had an interesting taste. The honey garlic ribs, general tao chicken and wings were the only decent things, very similar to what you could get at Tiki Ming. The dessert section is mixed with the salad bar. There is 4 kinds of mouse/cake and a few ice cream flavours to chose from. This newly opened restaurant lacks cleanliness, food options and overall taste.. Truly regret wasting 72$ (24$ per person). NEVER going back there again. And I DON'T recommend anyone waste their money.

Playground is a very fun place, and excellently run. They are predominantly a casino gaming space,…read morebut they have multiple solid dining spaces including The Rail (a coal fired bistro), Drunken Dragon (Japanese), and a steakhouse. I have been at least four times there. From the gaming perspective, they are the best poker room in all of Canada and perhaps all of North America. Dealers are excellent, food & beverage service is excellent (and the food itself is great in the poker room), and they have good quality tables, seating, and chips. They also have lots of tournaments there. The overall place is kept clean and they're always going around cleaning the gaming machines / slots. There are no live tables here other than poker, but they have electronic roulette, blackjack, and baccarat. I have only eaten at The Rail. Dinner there was very good. The cheesy garlic bread was solid. The bacon Hawaiian pizza was a great pizza. Service there was good, too. Also, Playground has complimentary valet parking.

Came here for the first time on Saturday May 11, 2024 around 3PM. I heard about it through social…read moremedia as they have recently renovated and expanded the place. I am used to the Montreal Casino, if we are to compare the two, Playground is significantly smaller and more geared towards poker players. Our group was just interested in slot machines - you have to create a membership card to play, which is free, and they give you up to $30 in credits for liking their social media handles. This was straightforward and easy. The slot machines are located on the first and second floor. Upper floor is part of the expanded area and is overally nicer, has fresher carpet and less of a smell. I was surprised to see many smoking rooms - despite being enclosed, whenever the sliding doors open, the smell gets around. Drinks are free while you play, food is free only if you play at the poker tables. Unlike the Montreal Casino, there aren't any self serve stations, so no free soda or water around. The 2nd floor has a stage with occasional live music or shows. The new restaurants for japanese food or steak are also on the 2nd floor. These are beautiful and a nice touch - probably the nicest feature of the Playground. The rest of the area is unfortunately kind of cramped and dark, there is a lack of color and ambiance. Maybe different lighting or more decorations could liven up the place. I found the mood to be a bit depressing. There is no real glitz or glam. Still a decent option if you are just interested in slot machines or poker and would like to have a nice meal on site, but for a fun night out, I find this place to be too small and lacking options. For example, there are no branded slot machines, no famous pop culture icons or anything noticeable. Many other casinos have games featuring celebrity shows or artists which I find more enjoyable. Note the parking is free and there is plenty outdoors however much of the lot is not paved so can be quite messy if you are literally walking in dirt during bad weather.

We usually order the special combo (2 soup, 2 appetizers, 2 main dishes, Chinese vegetables, steamed rice & fortune cookies) for takeout, 2 orders for $74.99 + tax for 2, so it comes to $149.98 + tax for the 2 orders. Today was the second time they tried to overcharge me by $50. When I saw the total for over $220, I told them it was wrong. They said you ordered extra dishes, except I hadn't, then oh, that's the price for the combo for 4, they said one or more ? of the dishes they gave me was bigger, then took the order back to the kitchen to reduce the size of the container/s. We enjoyed the Hot & soup soup, spring rolls, dumplings were so so, the 4 main dishes: beef & broccoli, Szechuan chicken with crispy spinach, pan fried noodles with chicken and shrimp and Szechuan shrimp were all excellent. I just advise everyone to pay attention to what you are being charged. What are the odds that I am the only one who they tried to overcharge twice in a row?

This is the best AYCE Korean BBQ joint in west Island and I believe the only one!…read more It has a beautiful rustic charm it looks like a beautiful chalet and as soon as you walk in it feels very cosy and homey! We came in without a reservation and they made us feel welcome! We got checked in and vetted with all the covid rules (vax pass and sanitizer first) and got seated right away. Our waitress was very attentive and very sweet. She showed us how to order online with our phones. Very interesting system ! I loved how the food is brought to us by a baby elevator .. I guess the kitchen is in a different level! Food: They brought out some starters that tasted delicious I was so impressed with the cucumber starter dish so yummy with a kick to it. We got kimchi , marinated onions and then the Chop suey was delish too ! Every dish had awesome flavours. We went ahead and ordered different meats and shrimp. My all time favourite was the ox tongue soo good The grill was getting dirty as we were cooking so much on it she changed it for us that was nice as well. There's a lot of variety to choose from and it is all you can eat so you may order as much as you want but if you leave anything on the plate they charge you 1$ extra so be careful when you order too much hihi. Overall service ambiance and food was AMAZING and worth every penny! Definitely recommend this place if you've never tried an ayce Korean bbq resto! Cheers!

There is ample parking as they have there own parking lot and there is also a bus stop a few meters down the street. The restaurant is a small quite place and has about 15 tables insides. The menu is down all online as well as the ordering process. The staff was friendly and was able to explain everything properly. We stated off with some vegetable that we grilled. The vegetables were raw and unseasoned. We had the following vegetables. Onions and zucchini and mushrooms. We grilled them and we had to dip them in the sauces to add flavor. For the meats. Short ribs were extremely fatty and chewy and the seasoning was bland. Short ribs on no bone Was very fatty and chewy and the way it was cut was like it was cut by hand not even made it hard to grill. Ox tongue Had same seasoning as the short ribs. Not much flavor in the sauce. It was ok nothing special. Pork belly Was cut so small made it hard to grill properly. No seasoning on the pork belly. Pineapple Was fresh and not canned and we grilled it as well. It's a nice place but with a few improvements it can be a winner.
