Avocado Sushi du Village is located on the south side of Lakeshore at the south end of Lourdes, west of Cartier Ave in Pointe-Claire village. I have to say this place is very intimate and quite busy. The space inside is tight but they seem to make it work with the footprint that they have. As far as the food and service goes everything was great. I didn't really do much ordering of the food as I was with friends that did that but for the few items I did select everything was as good or better than expected. For an a la carte place they have a lot of options and even sharable things like large trays, boats and single order by lines, quantities for the individual menu sushi menu items are available. Rolls seem to be either 5 or 6 pieces which to me is a bit different. I'm used to rolls being 8 pieces for maki but regardless the services are still good and the ingredients are what you'd expect from an a la carte as opposed to AYCE. I really liked the variety and the Avocado "specialty" roll (scallops, lobster, salmon, etc.)

My FAVOURITE sushi spot right at the heart of Pointe-Claire Village. The restaurant itself is adorable and they adapted quickly to take-out only since the beginning of COVID. You can simply order through their online platform. There was once we couldn't pick up and they were very accommodating to delivering. We've ordered 3-4 times since. Our favourite house specialty is the New Zealander, although even the most basic sushi's are incredible at Avocado Sushi. A true testament to the quality of ingredients they use. Looking forward to our future visits.

This restaurant is so cute!! We came here on a Friday night at 6:30 pm because we were in the neighborhood for an event and our colleague recommended it. I started with a cucumber martini which was strong but I didn't quite like it though so I switched to white wine afterwards. We shared the Japanese salad which is just a regular lettuce salad with dressing that tastes like sesame. It reminds me of the Kraft Asian Sesame dressing that I bought at Metro. I think perhaps I should have tried the seafood one instead. I tried the Japanese salad because tons of people here on yelp were recommending it. Next we had the avocado tartare which is made with spicy scallop and salmon, wasabi lobster, tempura and sweet sauce. It was good and reminded me of the xmas tree sushi that they have at Saint sushi but in a martini glass. I prefer the xmas tree though. Also I didn't feel like it was sweet at all which is a good thing. This was my boyfriend's favorite of the night. My boyfriend thought the makis were nothing special but I enjoyed both. We ordered the Barenaked sushi roll (spicy lobster and scallops rollup in salmon sashimi and rice paper) and the Maki St Laurent (spicy salmon, rice, blueberry, teriyaki sauce rolled in rice paper). One downer was that I had asked for spicy mayo when we got our sushi but I got tired of waiting and just ate. The time we finally got it we were done our sushi. It's far to go for sushi but if you are in the area I recommend it.

I love this Japanese restaurant. Every bite you take is so delicious. Fresh and interesting choices of sushi and other foods. We highly recommend avocado!

Amazing lunch specials! The sushi for 2 and the Avocado Bowl are both very high quality and perfectly crafted. I remember taking a bite and thinking "wow this is the best sushi I've ever had". The outside terrace is quaint but I love the small feel. I think it's the cutest sushi restaurant in the West Island by far!

A little gem of the west island! A cute little restaurant with a la carte sushi and other dishes, I'm surprised this place isn't more popular. The food is tasty, much better than all those all-you-can-eat. Definitely a place to go if you're a small party of 2-4. The setting is very simple and charming, and the service is on point. Definitely recommend the Avocado tartare (not actually avocado, see picture). There is a variety of tartares in there, with a hint of crunches (rice crispies?), but it's definitely filling and very well worth the 17$ The Asian twist is full of flavor, but a little confusing as it emcompasses salty and sweet at the same time, in the same bite. Texture is complex as it is crunchy yet soft in some other areas. The maple syrup adds a little sweetness after taste. All in all, that dish in particular is a mouthful, but i wouldn't discourage from trying. We also had the Sashimi straight up. Very well made, although not totally impressed with the octopus. Maquerel isn't my favourite, it's a very salty fish, but the butterfish was delicious! Would definitely highly recommend this place!

Boring and overpriced. Staff were fine. Our food came quickly, too quickly. Good location in the heart of the Pointe Claire village.

"Last night" was a Thursday, which means the all-you-can-eat price was a whole $2 cheaper lol - still, as I previously mentioned, if you are a big sushi eater, $39.99 or even $41.99 isn't bad at all. Unfortunately service wasn't as good this time. It looked like they had less staff working. They had two very large groups there, and most other tables were occupied. We were placed in a corner and it seems they kind of forgot about us for a while - dirty dishes weren't picked up, some stuff my friend ordered was never delivered, and we were never shown a drinks menu (we both don't usually drink alcohol during the work week, so that was whatever, but it would have been nice to be offered). I also noticed that some of the makis I liked last time, weren't offered this time - it's very possible that they have some rolls available only on the weekend (I've seen this elsewhere), so I get that, but it was disappointing. Overall would I still come back - yes - but probably only on the weekend if I have a choice.

We visited the restaurant for an all-you-can-eat meal and placed multiple orders throughout our visit. Unfortunately, a significant portion of the food we ordered never arrived. After waiting for quite some time, we asked staff about our missing dishes, but instead of receiving them, we were eventually told that the kitchen was no longer serving food. We explained that we had not received much of what we had ordered and politely asked if they would consider a discount since we were paying for an all-you-can-eat meal that we never fully received. Our request was refused. What hurt us the most was how the situation was handled afterward. As teenagers, we felt that our concerns were not taken seriously and that we were being taken advantage of because of our age. Rather than trying to work toward a fair resolution, the situation escalated to the point where staff threatened to call the police simply because we were questioning why we should have to pay full price for food that was never served. We never wanted free food or special treatment. We only wanted either the meal we ordered or to pay fairly for what we actually received. We left feeling disappointed, embarrassed, and unheard. I believe customers of any age deserve to be treated with respect, and I hope that by sharing this experience, it encourages businesses to handle situations like this with more fairness and understanding.

We were seated in the semi private area which has two tables and can accommodate 16 people comfortably... Maybe 2 more if you squeeze a bit. Drinks: I decided to embrace the unique experience by ordering a Ramune pop where you have to punch down a glass bead so that you can pour the soda. It's served into a glass with a lime flavored popsicle to give it extra flavor. Ordering: the way the menu works is that everyone gets the same things included with their meal. The only thing different is the protein ordered. - Onion broth: thin but oh so packed with umami flavor! - Salad: pretty good with light vinaigrette - Mushrooms: mmmhh fried and covered in soy sauce - Shrimp: delish and drown it in the tangy dipping sauce - Mixed Veggies: helps balance all the meatiness - Addictive ground ginger soy sauce: can eat this with everything! - Tangy chili sauce: love the flavor - Bowl of rice - Orange creamsicle ice cream: yay for ice cream! - Cup of Jasmine tea: wash down all that flavor The meats: with 3 choices of beef from least to most expensive--Beef Samurai, Sirloin, Filet Mignon. I went middle of the road with the sirloin but was able to taste the filet mignon off my friend's plate. Conclusion: filet mignon cut up in cubes had a rich beefy flavor that comes from the fat in the meat that is seared. It's really good, super tender and juicy. The sirloin also cooked and cubed has a flatter taste but still really tender and delicious. If budget is not an issue, go with the filet mignon, your taste buds will be singing! Staff was friendly and polite. The cooks, depending who you get make their own jokes to entertain you while cooking. Our cook did this knife flipping thing with his chef's knife into it's holster several times like it was nothing. I could just envision myself trying that and losing fingers and toes in the process!!! Overall, it's just a touch pricey but I loved the experience! We were all very satisfied. It's good sized portions guaranteeing that nobody will leave hungry. The place filled up by 6pm where every table was occupied. I will go back again!

Our waitress was very attentive and very sweet. She showed us how to order online with our phones. Very interesting system ! I loved how the food is brought to us by a baby elevator .. I guess the kitchen is in a different level! Food: They brought out some starters that tasted delicious I was so impressed with the cucumber starter dish so yummy with a kick to it. There is ample parking as they have there own parking lot and there is also a bus stop a few meters down the street. The restaurant is a small quite place and has about 15 tables insides. The menu is down all online as well as the ordering process. The staff was friendly and was able to explain everything properly. We stated off with some vegetable that we grilled. The vegetables were raw and unseasoned. We had the following vegetables. Onions and zucchini and mushrooms. We grilled them and we had to dip them in the sauces to add flavor. For the meats. Short ribs were extremely fatty and chewy and the seasoning was bland. Short ribs on no bone Was very fatty and chewy and the way it was cut was like it was cut by hand not even made it hard to grill. Ox tongue Had same seasoning as the short ribs. Not much flavor in the sauce. It was ok nothing special. Pork belly Was cut so small made it hard to grill properly. No seasoning on the pork belly. Pineapple Was fresh and not canned and we grilled it as well. It's a nice place but with a few improvements it can be a winner.
