    Love their floors here!

We love Noma! My parents and I frequent Noma because their food is fresh and yummy, we love the convenience of their location (close to where my parents live) and because the people here are so friendly. We know that every time we go, we will have a good experience - and we've been going here for 4 years! We love the teriyaki, salmon & tuna bento boxes and their special rolls, which are always plated to beautifully! When you come to Noma, don't forget to look down. Yup, down! They have a beautiful floor with images of koi fish - you don't want to miss it!

My cousin who lives in Langley took us to this local Japanese restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised! Living in Hawaii, we have so many amazing Japanese restaurants, and I didn't know what to expect of a small Japanese restaurant in the Langley. But the food was great, ambiance was clean and modern and the prices were extremely affordable! I ordered the Nabeyaki and was shocked at how generous they were with their seafood. It was a hearty nabeyaki with lots of clams and squid. At most restaurant, I might find maybe 3 clams and a couple pieces of squid, but this nabeyaki had some seafood in almost every spoonful. It was also full of fresh veggies and chicken. I would order this again in a heartbeat. The rolls were delicious and extremely affordable and the tempura was light and crisp. If you are ever out in Langley and have a craving for some good Asian food, you should visit Noma!

This was far by the worst sushi I've had. Sloppy and disgusting the service was just as bad not impressed by anything but the tea they brought out. I'm surprised that people are giving this place such raving reviews I eat a lot of sushi and this was a waste of money there was zero effort put into the rolls look at the pictures

Fish being stored on the floor. Doesn't seem like this would pass a health inspection.

I just went there for lunch and was horrified when I went to pay my bill to see fish being stored on the floor, with the kitchen and wait staff walking past it kicking up who knows what onto it. I took a photo which I will post. Won't be going back there anytime soon.

Beautiful dining room. Very fresh fish. Crispy roll is an 8-piece dynamite roll will tempura crisps on top. Seasoning salt gives it a nice kick. Unagi sauce and honey mustard drizzle on top. Amazing!

I wanted to try another Sushi spot out and as I was going through Yelp, I stumbled across Noma. Luckily it wasn't too far away from home, it had good reviews, and the prices weren't too far off - off we went! We were immediately seated outside, since it was a nice day. Service was excellent and although they were fairly busy, we were waited on well. Food came in good time, not too fast and not too slow. We ordered: Saba Sisoyaki $4.50 Takoyaki $5.95 Dancing Roll $10.95 Ton Katsu $9.95 All tasted fresh and yummy! Definitely coming back - might be new to the rotation! Thanks Noma!

Two words. Crispy roll! Their crispy roll is not only huge, but extremely flavor packed! Seasoning salt and honey mustard kind of a taste. SO great! Only $8.95.

This was a tasty late night meal. My udon was filling and the broth was flavourful. I would prefer the tempura to be served on the side to prevent it from getting soggy fast. Service was fast and somewhat lacking. The staff was a bit preoccupied with closing the place down and eating their dinner. Food was dropped soon after our order was placed. My tea cup was left empty. Good thing I had broth to sip on.

This was probably... my third or fourth visit? Always had a really great experience so we decided to come here before going to the movies. Came on a Tuesday night at around 7pm, and got seated right away as there was an available table! We were asked whether we preferred water or tea (green, I think?) and then had some time to decide what we wanted. Customer Service: 4.5/5 -- really great! Not really much to add, they greeted us right as we entered and then checked in on us a few times throughout the meal. Not full marks cause they missed a few things that we ordered and we had to remind them, but they brought it out really quickly so it was all good! Food: 5/5 - absolutely amazing! If even a choice, I will always choose to come here! We ordered almost every vegetarian option available, aside from the tofu (not a huge fan of their tofu, not going to lie, it's too sticky/doughy), and it was fantastic! Ambiance: 5/5 - relaxing music, not crazy loud, tables are comfortably seated away from one another (about 6 tables that seat 4 each and 2 tables that seat 2 each), and then the bar seats five people. Washroom was clean, which is always good, and to top things off, they had the hockey game on!

Working in quality assurance in the seafood industry made it extremely difficult for me to be satisfied. Prawn tempura and agedashi tofu were delicious. Chicken katsu was dry. Beef teriyaki was excellent. Lots of indoor seating. Modern decor. Clean. It would be better if you assign servers to specific table. We had 3 different servers come to our table and we had 2 extra miso soup. We had 2 different servers ask the same questions a few times. All in all, good experience.

I did let them know that their google place pin was in the wrong place and sending customers in the wrong direction...oops! The food was good, smaller portions and a little pricey. Tasty tho, they had my favourite Oshi Saba, my partner's; negintoro, spicy chops scallop roll and for main he had the vegetable udon and I had the Pork Katsu. Good food, nice atmosphere, be prepared to spend a little more.

Despite driving past the giant pothole at the driveway to the mini mall complex, we parked safely, and went inside to eat. The restaurant was clean, pretty busy, and the staff were extremely attentive. I ordered the Red Fox roll, and a Tofu Kimchi roll. Both rolls were delicious, fresh, vibrant, and flavourful. They looked like very big roll pieces, because of their respective presentations, but were actually hiding very manageable pieces of sushi. Overall, I was certainly very pleased with it experience at Sushi California, and would definitely be back to try the rest of their menu offerings in future. Delicious~!

I found it surprising and odd to come at lunch time with lots of available parking and seats, the place was not overly busy. Compare that to the Surrey (Guildford ) location that is always full and overflowing with both customers and cars trying to park. Guess it makes sense once you experience both the food and service at the Langley location, both IMHO need work as the quality and quantity of their sushi is lower grade and literally half the portion sizes for their sushi compared to Surrey location, and the service at Langley is literally zero smiling and not overly friendly staff, while Surrey is upbeat and friendly. Despite the Langley location's inside being more bright with better seating options with proper tables compared to Surrey relying on flexible bench seating to be shared, that does not make up for much. IMHO go to the Surrey location for a better quality overall experience.
