This is a decent go to for a quick sushi fix. They have a pretty extensive menu and food flavours are genuine. We always judge Japanese restraints by the sushi rice and theirs is very good in texture, flavour and quality. Portions are regular meaning they are not huge but not skimpy. I ordered four rolls, teriyaki donburi and miso soup. Pricing is excellent and affordable. Take out and going to restraints has gone up so much, I'm always a little surprised by the bill but not at all in a bad way this time. Big portions and delicious! While visiting family in Langley, we happened on this lovely little restaurant. It was very busy (a good sign) and we wanted a patio. We orders the Benito boxes (B) and tried both the beef and chicken teriyaki. The food was plentiful and delicious. I preferred the beef which was very tender. The chicken was a thin, lightly battered cutlet but my husband enjoyed it. The nigiri had large pieces of fish and was fresh. Langley is definitely not a city I venture out to much and was pleasantly surprised of the variety and quality of Japanese restaurants they have nowadays! On our way coming back we stopped by Noma for a quick bite and it was a nice little contender for your casual japanese eats! Service was super friendly and the food arrived really quickly! We ordered a couple of their special rolls and lunch boxes. The lunch boxes were a really good deal for under $12 it included miso soup, Cali roll, teriyaki on rice, fried skewer, salad and heaping amount of tempura. My parents and I frequent Noma because their food is fresh and yummy, we love the convenience of their location (close to where my parents live) and because the people here are so friendly. My cousin who lives in Langley took us to this local Japanese restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised! Living in Hawaii, we have so many amazing Japanese restaurants, and I didn't know what to expect of a small Japanese restaurant in the Langley. But the food was great, ambiance was clean and modern and the prices were extremely affordable! I ordered the Nabeyaki and was shocked at how generous they were with their seafood. It was a hearty nabeyaki with lots of clams and squid. At most restaurant, I might find maybe 3 clams and a couple pieces of squid, but this nabeyaki had some seafood in almost every spoonful. It was also full of fresh veggies and chicken. I would order this again in a heartbeat. The rolls were delicious and extremely affordable and the tempura was light and crisp. Very good to excellent fish! I eat a lot of Sushi around the west coast and Hawaii and this is right up there with some of the very best. I'm not speaking about rolls covered in sauces but just the pure fish as Sashimi or Nigiri. Prices were reasonable and the service excellent. read more

Tried two times and the first time when I had a take out from this restaurant, there were too much rice on nigiris and rolls. In addition, rice were too salty so that the whole nigiris and rolls were too salty and even sashimis on nigiris were not that fresh and warm. So I felt so terrible after I ate. Tried as a second time because someone told me that this restaurant was great for her so we decided to try again but unfortunately it was same. Too salty rice and felt like something tasty bad in my mouth after I ate. Sashimi on nigiris tasted like playdoh (I guess...) were no fresh at all. I wanted to try another Sushi spot out and as I was going through Yelp, I stumbled across Noma. Luckily it wasn't too far away from home, it had good reviews, and the prices weren't too far off - off we went! We were immediately seated outside, since it was a nice day. Service was excellent and although they were fairly busy, we were waited on well. Food came in good time, not too fast and not too slow. This was probably... my third or fourth visit? Always had a really great experience so we decided to come here before going to the movies. Came on a Tuesday night at around 7pm, and got seated right away as there was an available table! We were asked whether we preferred water or tea (green, I think?) and then had some time to decide what we wanted. Customer Service: 4.5/5 -- really great! Not really much to add, they greeted us right as we entered and then checked in on us a few times throughout the meal. Not full marks cause they missed a few things that we ordered and we had to remind them, but they brought it out really quickly so it was all good! Food: 5/5 - absolutely amazing! If even a choice, I will always choose to come here! We ordered almost every vegetarian option available, aside from the tofu (not a huge fan of their tofu, not going to lie, it's too sticky/doughy), and it was fantastic! Ambiance: 5/5 - relaxing music, not crazy loud, tables are comfortably seated away from one another (about 6 tables that seat 4 each and 2 tables that seat 2 each), and then the bar seats five people. If you're in Langley and craving sushi, Noma is the place to be! The food here is always fresh and delicious. Our go-to dish is the tuna tataki; it's seared perfectly and make sure you eat it with the avocado slices! We also like the volcano roll, very spicy for those who like spicy food. And we also order the nabeyaki udon, both the noodles and tempura are good. The service at Noma is good. This is a great place for sushi for sure. The rolls are creative and nicely done. The atmosphere is very comfortable and inviting. The location is in a new shopping centre that's still being built and I would anticipate this place to be a big boom when all the stores are done. The service is pretty quick. Overall, I'm very impressed with their selection of specialty rolls so make sure you come hungry and adventurous. Looking around Walnut Grove for a sushi place on a Sunday isn't easy. Thanks to Yelp I found that this was pretty much our only option. We were not disappointed. I only did take-out, but got six rolls for a party. Everyone loved the sushi. The cucumber was cut length-wise, which made it more crunchy and tasty than the usual chunks I see elsewhere. The avocado was fresh and flavorful. I asked about a custom roll and they accommodated it without a problem - and for a reasonable price. I have to say that I am a little disappointed with the selection of rolls. It appears as though most of them either have eel or cream cheese in them and I don't care for either. The smoked salmon in the boston roll tasted really fishy, not fresh fish. I wanted to try a different sushi place other than Miraku sushi, but their sushi was a lot worse in terms of quality. It's a good start for Langley. There aren't a lot of choices all the way out there. It's better than most non-Japanese run Japanese places. I ordered Wild Sockeye Salmon Sashimi and they were nice and thick pieces so I was happy with the portions. Also ordered Yaki udon and katsu don, again portions were good. The place was clean and the servers were friendly and prompt. Can't say the food is awesome, but it's probably the best you will find in Langley.
