Best sushi in the area! There's a lot of bad restaurants in the slakthus area, but I'm happy to…read morereport a good sushi stop right by the tele2 arena. Beyond sushi, you will find bibimbap, and some Thai dishes on the menu. The entire menu is a small selection of quality dishes! It refreshing to find a short, and to the point menu in a genre which often puts way too many options on the table. Pricing is fair! Staff are friendly! Don't miss this spot for a quick refuel before hitting the local scene. There is also a good selection of Sake, along with a couple of wines and beer.

Our waiter, whose name I forget, patiently explained the menu to us, gave us wine recommendations (any wine they have by the bottle is also available by the glass), and kept communicating between me and the kitchen regarding my allergies. Was it okay if the pork was marinated in garlic and onion but there were no pieces? Was I lactose intolerant or lactoprotein intolerant? Wow - I didn't even know the difference myself. Now, onto the food. I had the 380kr set menu, and my boyfriend had the 420kr set menu. I would describe the place as Asian fusion. - Salmon: Wow! Baked ever so slightly so that it is still basically raw, it just melts in your mouth like butter and meshes perfectly with the eggplant puree and roe. The fried fish skin chips were also a nice addition. - Pork loin: Now, I think it was because they had to cook the pork completely differently to accomodate my allergies, but I found it a little rough and way too salty. Maybe the normal pork loin that they serve is better. - Dessert: Not many comments here. Chocolate sorbet was very good. Portions definitely run on the smaller side though, so order some snacks from their menu to go with your set dinner. Would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in Stockholm.

Good cocktail and sashimi - not so cozy atmosphere. The…read morecocktail menu is interesting and daring, offering twists on old classics as well as novel invention. The sashimi is very authentic and delectable. The exception is the reindeer which is neither good nor necessary. The desserts are, as in most Asian restaurants, not the main attraction. Instead, a mix of sashimi and smaller dishes works very well here. The overall mood of the restaurant is a bit hectic, but nothing that really subtracts from the food experience. 2-3 of their small dishes are sufficient for a good evening meal. It is reasonably priced and the service is standard Scandinavian.

You order and pay right away, we got the "Dumplings and rice" and the "Green bowl". Both were delicious! The green bowl was smoked creamy polenta, beets, crispy corn, Brillat Savarin and brussel sprouts. Lovely! We finished with the dessert of the year! The restaurant's decor is reminiscent of the Buddha Bar in Paris, and it has the same cool vibe with music to complement it. Snygging and I had to get our own drinks from the bar and nibblies were extra, which wasn't auspicious. But the bartender was very friendly & helpful, and the hostess sat us in a prompt and very friendly manner (make sure you make a reservation). Our waiter was very friendly, and very helpful with suggestions not just on choices of dishes, but wine pairing too. Then the food arrived. Gorgeous! Then we tasted it. Oh. My. God! We both started making moaning noises almost as soon as the first bites hit our palates (she started with the truffle dumplings, and I started with the Fjord Salmon). I mean, honestly...other patrons were staring at us like we were up to something under the table. It was that good. Ambrosiac! Then on to the Ox Rib Tempura (more moaning), the Lamb Racks (GTFO!!), and the Lobster Tacos (porn noises). I also had the Tuna Fritters, which, while delicious, didn't measure up to the other dishes... Which were insanely, deliciously good! I read another reviewer saying that it deserved a Michelin star, and I absolutely agree. Miss Voon is expensive, but it is worth every penny. If you have to choose between paying your taxes or eating here, well... the choice is obvious to me. Going back again tonight. Probably this weekend too.

But somehow I go back to the mochi ice-cream. Sweet and simple! Now for the ambience... Book a table in advance. It is often fully booked and especially the weekends you could have to wait until 10pm to get a seat if you come without a booking at 6.30pm like I did. The tables, although pretty closely placed to each other manage to keep privacy due to design. The service is always good...although some due seem to hesitate speaking English. But that is fine...I speak Swedish too :) Otherwise...just request an English speaking waiter/waitress from the very beginning. My number one pick for where to bring VIP guests for a cosy treat and when I want a good treat myself. I would go back at least once every visit to Stockholm. Don't miss it!

The options are vast enough to please almost everyone, from pot stickers, cold salads, soup, rice, chicken, beef, sushi, seafood dishes... the list goes on. I'm not sure about other Pongs, but here we also have chocolate and vanilla mousse, panna cotta, and DIY soft serve with sauces. This Pong also serves booze now, so you can enjoy a nice glass of wine or beer with your meal :) I have to add a disclaimer that there have been ups and downs during my visits here. Each piece had an additional element to liven it up, like roasted onion/sesame seeds that somewhat boring vegetables often need. They were serving a reduced menu it seemed. There were only a handful of options. But we were starving so we just picked some stuff and crossed our fingers. We ordered the cloudy ramen, which was totally fine ramen but nothing hugely tremendous about it. Still on a nice cold snowy day, it really did hit the spot. My mushroom bao looked good but was very difficult to eat. It was overstuffed and split straight down the middle immediately. It just turned into a real hot mess so I just ate the pieces out of my dish. I did note that the bao buns are stored in a glass case on the counter. I don't know if this impacts the quality of the bun or how long they sit in there, but I did wonder if maybe this didn't help the bun's integrety. But for what it was worth, it WAS tasty. And we got the Korean chicken, which was sticky covered in sauce and pretty decent. Our service was just kind of meh... we were seated and abandoned for about 20 minutes. My husband was actually just about to get up to leave when the waiter finally remembered we were there. In the meantime, another party was seated, provided water and ordered before we were addressed. It was taxing on the ear and the voice to understand and be understood in this environment. A wide variety of Asian fusion dishes were available at normal dinner prices. In fact I think the menu was a bit too long - more options is not always better, and this place is on the line. Everyone who wanted was served miso soup as an appetizer, which was nice. The main course was good although the presentation ranges from bad to okay. One person in my group complained that it was way too spicy although that dish was not marked up as spicy on the menu. Tables are so small that things that are supposed to be shared can't be placed at the middle of the table. This made me eat up all the nuts that were placed beside my food when apparently I was supposed to share them with my friend (I wasn't told). When I entered I was in a since pleasantly surprised as the place was nicely designed and looked really nice, again though nothing to do with a proper izakaya and the first glance on the menu confirmed that the people behind this place probably never been to an izakaya and potentially never set foot in Japan. The service was however friendly and fairly knowledgeable. They seemed to have things running nicely already from the opening. We started off with some drinks, very nice cocktails and a fairly interesting beer list. The wine list is by no means bad but a bit dull. When it comes to the food we opted to share some dishes to try several things. The seared asparagus with radish and black sesame was a nice and fresh dish. We then also tried the so called Fried Master Pork which was decent but nothing special and it really felt more Chinese than Japanese. We then had one of the sharing dishes, the miso pork. That was also a nice dish but again nothing that felt Japanese at all. In a sense all of the food was good but it was more like some sort of pan-Asian cuisine and slightly to advanced to be an izakaya. The menu is also. It all over the place with medium sized dishes, mains, sharing dishes and sushi and sashimi. All in all a decent place for above average Asian food, if they would change the name (not claim that they are an izakaya) and clean up the menu a bit and focus more it could be better.
