    There are some guides out there saying this is a korean fusion restaurant, but after talking with our server, turns out it's really not. The head chef is Korean, but the food is a random hodge podge of culinary deliciousness. We started with the salmon bun (GET IT) and continued on with taretare, scallops with dashi, and finished with the roasted duck. The server helped us with wine parings that we were able to split, which was much appreciated. Definitely highly recommended if you're in town for some creative and tasty food.

    In a small area of Söder there are these days several good places. A few blocks away from Punk Royale and a few additional blocks from Nofo Winebar there is another great spot for good food and wine. Nook has been around for a while and I visited when they had just opened and then it sort of slipped my mind how good they really are but recently I have been back several times again. The food is Nordic with touches of inspiration from Asia and a few Asian dishes. It is clearly a place to go for the set menus. These rotate approximately every two weeks and there are always two set three course menus, one costing 350 SEK and the other 400 SEK. To be Stockholm this is great value for money and the food is really top notch. Execution is always impeccable and the chefs really know their stuff. I would also recommend sampling some of the small snacks (for example the pork bun). The service is very friendly and professional. They manage to keep a good balance between personal and knowledgeable. The wine list is also extensive and a lot of interesting wines. The small minus is that they do not have a list of what they offer by the glass but rather ask what type of wine you want and then recommend something - I personally like browsing the list and deciding based on what I see that they have. Highly recommended and reservations are essential. If you have not reserved they do however also have a bar but there the food options are more limited.

    Where to begin, The restaurant is in a sleepy part of Södermalm. Which apparently has become the hip part of town. It is a small and clean resteraunt with very attentive waitstaff. This is comparatively one of the least expensive progressive, modern restaurants we have visited in Stockholm to date. Two appetizers, two three course meals, and a reasonably priced bottle of champagne came in at roughly $200 USD with a tip, $70 of it being the champagne. The menu is designed as a three course meal with additional optional starters. The waitstaff were very knowledgeable about wine parings and offered a different glass for each of the dishes. We do not reccomend getting a starter unless you are extremely hungry we found it hard to move onto desert because we were already full. As usual we decided to get both of the menu options and split everything, which turned out to be a brilliant idea. All of the dishes were perfectly crafted with particular attention being paid to texture complexity with great seasonal choices. As for the particular dishes, we have included a photo of the menu for when we visited. There were too many to list everything. However for an overall summary it was definitely five stars. The dishes were slightly Asian inspired but primarily focused on a ton of local Swedish, and European flavours.

    We ate in the upper restaurant, which was more like tapas. Everything was outrageously great! A must do place!

I planned my whole Stockholm trip around coming here, and was lucky enough to snag a solo reservation for dinner the last night of my trip in May 2025. Truly nothing comes close to the overall service & hospitality experience and quality of the food and drinks. I have dietary restrictions (no red meat), that they could accommodate with no problem and even provide a printed menu that represented my exact substitutions, which rarely happens for me. The night I came, Björn Frabtzén received a third Michelin star at Frantzén's sister restaurant in Dubai, becoming the only chef in the world to helm three 3-Michelin star restaurants simultaneously, and my experience here really shows why they are the best of the best. You enter from a lobby and are greeted by a host who will guide you through the experience. I had the opportunity to use the restroom and then got a peak into some of the meats I'd be enjoying for my meal in the entryway itself. You then go up an elevator to the Lounge, where you get your first look at the drink menu and your first bites. Frantzén was one of the first restaurants to really champion this experience of moving from room to room for different courses and it sets an ambiance almost of eating at someone's home. It's casual but decadent and the chefs walk you through all of the ingredients you're about to enjoy while casually chit chatting and enjoying the best canapés of your life. After the starters, you're taken through the prep kitchen and the wine cellar to the actual restaurant, which is a large open kitchen where you get to watch the chefs work while enjoying your meal. I was celebrating my birthday, and despite getting the NA pairing (which was excellent minus one drink towards the end) had so many additional generous free pours of incredible wines and champagne throughout the night. Well worth it, as their sommelier won best sommelier at the Scandinavia Michelin ceremony one month later in June 2025, and some of the glasses they gave me for free were easily $100 a piece. Come hungry, because you'll leave stuffed beyond belief for a 5-6 hour meal (and can always hang out longer if the restaurant hasn't closed up for the night.) This menu is legendary and best to go in without too many spoilers, but I had the best dish of my life - the tear drop peas chanwamushi - sweet, so tender, unreal. Another guest told me they wait all year for pea season to get this version of the dish. After dinner, you move back into the lounge where you're treated to after dinner drinks, teas, light sweets (that they will box up for you if you're too full) and the famous cardamom, brown butter, and Madeira madeleines. These mini-versions of madeleines come in a set of 9, are made fresh to order, and are refilled for however long you want to sit and enjoy the ambiance and chat at the end of the night. I felt like over the course of this part in particular, I made friends with other diners and the staff and had one of the most memorable and enjoyable experiences of my life. Frantzén is one of the best in the world (and if Reddit is to be believed, the very best) for a reason.

By no means a space for modernity nor a new age kitchen, the interior Art Nouveau from its painted ceilings and gilded molding to heavy wooden seats, guests entering Opera Bar will find most present during the week donning suits, discussion of business occurring in English and Swedish with a security detail even present on this particular day though nothing about the afternoon seemed unsafe or out of place. Able to see part of the Opera House by way of a trip to the restroom, an elegant feel not unlike most European theaters unsurprising, it was upon return to the table that Bread to be taken by hand from a basket was offered, the seemingly odd gesture from a place otherwise so refined nonetheless yielding soft and dense slices of Rye ready to be slathered with Butter plus delicate Crisps. Happy to have strolled through Kungsträdgården Park en route to make room after a busy morning of eating it was eschewing actual Appetizers that a plate of classic Swedish Meatballs started a three-course meal for two guests, ingredients supposedly the same as those next door yielding five small orbs not nearly as tender as those at Pelican nor Meatballs for the People, though the thin Cream Sauce was complex and rich both on its own or atop pureed Potatoes that contained nearly equal parts Starch and Butter. Taking in the scene while dining, an absence of the music ubiquitous in Restaurants today putting more focus on a "who's who" dynamic that clearly saw servers favoring certain tables, it was after a requested refill of Water that plates of Sausage and Quenelles de Brochet arrived, the former a classic Swedish dish with lots of texture that outperformed one past experience at Aquavit in New York while the souffléd Fish fell flat thanks to under-seasoning and Fennel which muted any Lobster flavor in the Sauce. Surveying a lengthy Dessert menu before making a decision, the sizable portions and richness already adding up, it was on the advice of others that Operabaren's Butter Cream and Meringue Cake was selected over items featuring Rhubarb or Chocolate with Walnuts, the results thankfully justifying an entire meal thanks to crisp yet nearly weightless Almond Meringue layered above and below Cream that tasted like sweetened butter but ate like Mascarpone Cheese.
