Welcome to Suson Pines where you can have squirrels living In your closet ceiling, and air ducts. Don't worry though we can't get in to fix the squirrel problem and they can't get through because the air vents are painted shut. That'll be an issue when we go to "clean" your duct system. You may also experience leaking through your ceiling into your children's bedroom. We will gaslight you and tell you it's just mildew. We have no degree nor background in mold remediation but we will spray some magic spray on it and call it a day. You can overpay for rent and only use the laundry mat when it's actually in service. Other than it being out of service more than necessary we keep is trashy. When you inevitably move out we will RAPE you on move out fees when the apartments are absolutely not suitable to live in upon move in. Slap some paint on a piece of shit and you can make even that look nice. All in all hated living in this community. Will most definitely drag its name through the dirt till it is torn down. read more

This is the worst. Lived here for years as a single Male with a dog who consistantly pays on time. The location was good enough for my commute and to have a dog, but recently the new management (there is always new management) has been a huge let down. The men and women who maintain the place are rude - literally called my dashound a son of a bitch as I was walking it. The work is shotty, there is mold everywhere and when complained about, its covered up instead of removed. Truly surprised county hasn't shut it down. I could go on, but the place isnt worth any more of my time. Cant wait until the lease is up. read more

They are very friendly to their renters! The maintenance people are very fast and awesome! It is pretty quiet too!

My mother and I visited the community. We spoke with Stephanie. My mother and I explained that we have some credit problems due to illness. Stephanie stated your credit does not matter we go by your rental history and if you are able to receive electric in your name. With our company credit is not a huge factor. So, on Sunday February 26, 2017 we applied to Suson Pines. I was told we would hear from then by the end of the day or Monday. If we were not approved we would receive our deposit back. We could pick it up in 3 business days. From the time we were approved or denied. We heard nothing. So, we begin to call and check. We were told not yet. By Thursday I spoke with Cindy. I was told it was denied but there was no reason it wouldn't be approved since by Tuesday I provided a payoff statement. By Friday I called again and asked what was going on with my application I was approved with an additional deposit. I was confused because I was told credit did not matter, and I provided a letter stating that I paid off a debt that I had. So, I spoke with my mother and we agreed that we had been given false information. I spoke again to Stephanie explaining exactly what she stated to me. She then said that she said nothing of the sort. I then asked to speak with her supervisor which was Cindy. I explained to her everything that I was told. Cindy, was speaking over me and very rude acting very emotional when I explained the situation. Then she said did you read the contract I said yes however I was told by your assistant manager that my credit did not matter. She was very very unpleasant and uncouth. She was even starting to raise her voice. My mother and I just said we would like the money back and we would like to speak with the corporate office or district manager. She continued to speak over me again and eventually hung up. They provide false verbal information and then go back you read and signed the agreement. I would say run as far away as possible. PLEASE READ FULL REVIEW! I have lived here for about a year now and it was the worst decision I have ever made. Let's start at the basics shall we? Almost every single employee at the office is rude or has been to me. I have been talked to nicely over the phone maybe one time since I have lived here. Most of the time when I am contacted, it is "You did this!" Or "You did that!" without even asking me or talking to me about it(everything they accused me of was a lie). Customer service can be difficult sometimes, but come on guys, not accusing the customer is like the golden rule. ALSO, we were not told about the construction before we moved in. Our apartment's "Front Yard" has literally been construction about 11 months out of a 1 year lease. Plus, this place is real genuine garbage. They literally do the minimum before letting someone else move in. THEY EVEN MAKE YOU CLEAN OR THEY CHARGE YOU. For what? So they don't have to hire a real cleaning service. How disgusting. This place is also overpriced for its low quality. Lastly, maintenance is extremely incompetent. I work midnights so I sleep during the day. I get that there is a leak and I am understanding, but it is literally just a leak. They have been here FOUR whole times to fix a simply leak. It upsets my dogs to have strangers in the apartment on top of inconveniencing me and my much needed sleep. Now they are telling me they have to rip my entire bathroom apart and I have no where I can go with my dogs and I can't shower. It's been a real mess. PLEASE DO NOT LIVE HERE IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE. I moved here in February 2015 with my two boys. Deanna was the person who got me approved to move in. The first year was fine. But they soon came under new management and it went down hill from there. Cindy does not treat the residents with respect at all. I have a service dog and she informed me one day that I was not allowed to have a pit bull there but my dog is not a pit bull. My neighbors above me had a zoo living with them and had fleas everywhere my dog soon had fleas and the whole building had to be treated. The never offered to pay for our hotel room while they were treating the building and then expected the full rent. The staff is horrible and they never fix anything at all. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSE WHERE. South county is nice but not this place at all. I just moved from there in 2018. read more

Sadly the mold problem at Suson is a real problem. And be sure to carefully read your lease. I was not told so verbally, but there is asbestos in the ceilings. It says so in your lease, and you're instructed never to touch or mess with the ceilings. So when mold started growing on the ceiling, I had to get maintenance in there to "clean it up." They scraped off the mold, and painted over it. Not fixing any problem. I came home to a portable fan in my bathroom trying to dry the paint. Maintenance never came back for it. Just left it there. I ended up setting it out in the hallway. Last year towards the beginning of my lease, I came home to my kitchen sink nearly over flowing with dirty water. It was backing up from the pipes in the building. No big deal, stuff happens. But it was after hours and maintenance had to call a plumber to come in. Nearly at 11 PM, the plumber shows up. Takes a look at my sink, and says he has to go to the neighbors to look at their sink/pipes. He was thinking that it was backing up on their side, seeing that there was nothing obstructing my pipes when he put his plumber camera/snake thing down the sink. Well never saw him again after he said he would be right back. Around 2 AM I set his tools in the hall way and locked my door. No one contacted me to let me know where the plumber was, if I could use my water, or what was going on. I called finally after work the next day and they acted like everything was fixed right away the night before. Also, Shannon is the only nice employee that works in that office. It was not easy dealing with anyone else. Being nice to your tenants should be the easiest task on your to do list. In addition, I was not warned about the construction that would be starting. I signed the lease with no knowledge that there would be men and machinery working outside my apartment for almost my entire lease. They weren't there the first two months, but for the remaining time there, the construction never stopped. There was no sleeping in on the weekends. The overall vibe of Suson Pines apartments is trashy. Dog poop fills the "dog park," and grass area outside each apartment building. I'm also still waiting to receive my deposit back from the office. It was supposedly mailed 7 days ago. I paid the pet deposit and paid an additional fee every month to have my 10 pound dog there. I was told that maintenance would not be able to enter my apartment for work if my dog was not in a kennel. I cannot count how many times maintenance entered my apartment without my knowledge, and my dog was in there without being in a kennel. This upsets me as a dog owner, because I don't want some stranger around my dog. One, my dog could have easily thought it was an intruder and tried growling or biting the worker. Then I would have been in a real bind. Something else that bothered me: I signed a 13 month lease. During the sink situation, the maintenance worker complimented how tidy and clean I kept my apartment. Stating that some people really were slobs and somewhat gross. He said he really appreciated it. When I cleaned my apartment out for the final walk through, I spent an entire Sunday making sure that place was immaculate. But I did forget one thing. The fan blades in the dining room. Another thing to read in your lease before you sign. Take a look at how much they deduct from your deposit for dusty fan blades. For being a GREAT tenant, who always paid rent on time, who never had any trouble or drama at the residence, who followed all the rules, for having such patience with rude employees up at the office, such patience for poor building upkeep, they deducted a pretty nice amount for dust on the fans. Which I could have easily dusted in less than 60 seconds right then and there. It's my fault I didn't dust the fan blades, but really? The plastic blinds break on their own. You can barely touch them and they come falling down. They're super cheap, but I was charged a silly amount for those as well. If you can find somewhere else for the same price, go somewhere else. Suson obviously is cheaper housing. However, business is business. People are taking their money and paying to rent an apartment. You're paying for something. Customer service and satisfaction with what they're paying for should matter. At Suson, it doesn't. No customer care. read more

This apartment complex is full of water damage, sewage damage, cheap fixes, incompetent staff (who changes constantly) is understaffed with maintenance, and overall a dump disguised as attempting to be better than it is. Water issues are constantly an issue, mold is not uncommon, infestations of bugs and insects regularly occur, and I have noticed that it attracts some less than desirable neighbors as the police come often. If you have a dog, this dog park is a joke. Constantly a mud pit, a gate is often broken, and the entire property is loaded with dog poop (not the offices fault, but that is the type of neighbors you live by). Parking is plentiful, but so are massive potholes and screw/nails sticking out of parking curbs that have pulled numerous bumpers off. The laundry mat on site often loses all hot water, and last time it took the company 6 months to fix that. They do patch jobs to fix things. I had an issue with my heat not working and the first maintenance guy just told me to close my blinds, the second said it was fine and more than a week later they Finally fixed it (mind you it was January and freezing and I did not have sufficient heat. My apartment always smelled "musty" and at first I thought it was because no one had lived in it for awhile. then the water damage started and I realized this was because the whole building leaks or has sewage back ups regularly (was told that this is "normal" by the property manager- unacceptable, they need to update the plumbing) and the "standard" of care by the company is to have a company come in to vacuum it up in sufficiently (had actual sewage/poop residue left after they "cleaned thoroughly" ad and to fight to get a proper cleaning done. After an unfortunate back to back episode of water/sewage damage, the property manager got extremely rude with me, raised her voice and got defensive while working with me to rectify the situation. This was incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional. I will never be returning to have a conversation with her. Take you money up the road a half mile to somewhere a lot better and spend the little extra to live in a safe, healthy, much more comfortable place. read more

My girlfriend and i moved in last winter in November,and are time we stayed here was pleasant. The staff was always friendly and maintenance people took care of are needs. Are two bedroom apartment was very nice, completely remodeled with new carpet and fixtures. We cleaned the place very well before move and received are full deposit back : ) Anyone looking for an apartment in the South County Location should definitely take a look at Suson Pines Apartments! read more

Don't listen to other reviews. It's 2018 now and this apartment complex is amazing so far. I've lived here since November 2017 and it fits my needs perfectly. 1 bedroom apartment has plenty of space and storage space. Also the area is well lit at night which was something I wanted. I definitely feel safe even when i'm home alone and when walking my dog outside at night. Also police does patrol the area a few times a week, mostly at night making me feel better. The office ladies are very nice and professional, me and my boyfriend being first time renters had all of our questions answered with no judgment. Any maintenance problems, I put in a request on the app and they are there the next day. Also they care about their tenants. Its the little things. Occasionally we get a letter on our door checking in to see if the apartment meets are expectations. They have raffles and treats in the office for holidays. Also for Valentines day they put a bag on everyones door with a note and some candy. The little things they do lets me know they care. So far I am loving it here at Suson Pines! read more

The office manager is the worst I & many others have ever had to put up with-incredibly RUDE, to say the least. I spoke with office manager on Jan. 25 about the mold that I found in my party area for the second time. She said someone would be in on Mon. Jan. 27, well Mon. came & went & NO ONE CAME! Nor did any one bother to call to say they wouldn't be able to make it. I had to call Tue. Jan. 28 & they tried to blow me off, saying my issue wasn't important! I very nicely put that my fiancé has spent thousands of $$$ on medical bills after living her to find out he is allergic to mold & apparently our apartment is covered in it!!! So that would be VERY IMPORTANT! I have complained numerous times about the amount of condensation on my windows & sliding doors ( which when we renewed in Nov. 2012 I was told by the gentleman helping me that they would replace my windows & a lot of other things & it never happened) well that condensation was dripping off the window sill into our bedroom T.V. Power strip & hissing. My fiancé unplugged it & sparks flew every were! Glad it didn't kill us in our sleep! During the extreme cold the condensation is sooo bad I have 2" of ice INSIDE MY APARTMENT ON THE WINDOWS & SLIDING DOOR! The office told me it was "NO BIG DEAL" ( I have pictures to prove & document everything) I am still having issues with mold it is now in EVERY ROOM! My 7 year old was sick this last Saturday ( Feb. 8) & complaining she was having trouble breathing- I thought she had a cold well while packing so we can get the HELL out of here & hopefully healthy again I found mold in her closet, around her window again ( FYI- MONARCH BLEACH HAS H2O IN IT- IT DOES NOT KILL MOLD) which they "treated" on Jan. 28. The amount of mold has doubled in size. I found mold on my closet again for the hundredth time ( it has destroyed my clothes by Ann Taylor Loft, my Prada bag, & my finances signed Blues jersey!). The mold is also coming back around my window, pantry,sliding door) Also the new kitchen counters they put in- well they used cheap caulk which is pulling away from the wall & taking the paint with it- it's only been about a year since they put that in. This place has put my family, especially my child, our health & well being in danger! This is an AWFUL COMPANY - with a lot of false advertising & no care for the human race! I've been here for around 8 months, and had alot of problems. My second day here my sink faucet stopped working. They came and fixed it but took out the sprayer. Dish washer barely even works. Have to wash everything atleast twice. You can also literally hear everything your neighbors are doing. Every footstep! Bad brown recluse problem as well and the "bug sprayers" they use must be using a super weak pest control, so I had to use my uncles professional grade stuff. The seals around the doors are horrible, air flows non stop out so your heating cooling bills will be really high, and worst of all, my neighbors toilet was leaking, which created a giant hole about 7" wide above my toilet. Water would constantly dribble down. Took maintenance 3 weeks and 3 calls to fix it. I'm writing this because I forgot to drop off my rent, literally just 12 hours late (I had the money orders for a few days) and you get hit with $100+ fees. I've been very laid back and accepting of these problems (most maintenance said they don't have the money to fix them) and have NEVER missed a payment my entire time here. I just find it redickulous they cant wave the charges just 1 time since all in all, I've been the perfect tenant. read more

Absolutely would not recommend these apartments. Moved in 3 months ago and have had maintenance out twice for leaks in my kitchen. The first time they said it was a loose hose in the dishwasher. However, had to call them back because kept finding puddles of water in the kitchen. Turns out, a pipe had busted in half on the 3rd floor and was running down to my ground floor apartment. The maintenance guy told me at least it was clean water because there was a sewer leak in another building across the street that they had been dealing with. He actually said that they were not able to keep up all of the issues because the previous management company had failed to update the very old plumbing in all of the buildings. There is still mold in the wall behind my dishwasher even though was told by maintenance that there is not. They tore out the wall behind my sink but did not replace the drywall in the kitchen behind the cabinets, so am positive that there is still mold and damage present in the walls. Ironically, I had waited 2 months to move in so that I could enjoy a renovated apartment. I would not recommend this property and will be thankful when my lease is up! read more
