I intended to keep an account opened and possibly use TD as my main bank for checking. To start off, the older lady (teller) up front was extremely ignorant and unhelpful. She sent me to a customer service representative who was equally as discourteous and he not only questioned my intentions of opening an account (after she went out and whispered in his ear) but he also told me I'll be charged a fee for the transfer (which was fine) and any funds deposited will not be available to use for 24 hours. The issue was how it was said, not the contents of the message. Why am I getting interrogated at a bank I plan to do business with? No idea. Against my better judgement, I was fed up and just said whatever let's just make an account. The associate (younger guy, bearded) asked for my ID and SS card. I didn't have my SS card onhand and he said the number itself wouldn't suffice. With a blatant, condescending tone he responded "yeah we need that card, can't do anything for you without it." Unknowing to me until later, I was able to create an account in 5 minutes online, so clearly, these employees were just giving me a hard time for no reason. Those two are certainly not in the right industry as they lack more than just basic social skills and etiquette. I have no plans of returning back to that location anytime soon.

It's been a crazy process, and today when going into the Somers Point location we were holding our breath. No one likes to have to do this stuff, and the experience with someone over the phone and through email with the Estate department was less than satisfactory. However, today we could not have been more impressed with the level of service we were provided. Reina (I hope I spelled that correctly) was just fabulous. And her manager was so accommodating. Do we have to go back? Yes, but at least we aren't dreading it, and are actually looking forward to seeing them again. Thank you so much for helping us through an incredibly difficult process!

Dealing with this branch and/or entire Bank of America corporation has been completely frustrating. They had a service of transferring funds to another BoA account on an monthly basis, but suddenly corporate decided to discontinue this practice without notification.
