W​​ent to Dr. Sutliff after experiencing sudden digestive/stomach/abdominal issues I had never experienced before. The front desk receptionist was professional, friendly and helpful. Dr. Sutliff was everything but that. He was short, dismissive and condescending at times. For example, I was anxious while listing my symptoms. After saying that I was experiencing extreme bloating, he cut me off and said, "Okay. You already said that three times." He was clearly irritated. Getting endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures (that I had to request to rule out any causes), felt like I was in a factory. He stopped by while I was waking up from the procedure, said a few quick words, didn't give me time to ask any questions or fully come to, and walked away. It was an awful experience. Dr. Sutliff was not personable or patient, two things that every person deserves when dealing with health problems and paying expensive health insurance. It was not a good feeling to pay someone to insult me and rush me. I left with no answers besides how adamant he was that I was just constipated and later found out that there were other tests he could have performed to rule out other causes. read more

I called and easily made an appointment. The front desk receptionist is quite nice and very kind. Found the location perfectly fine, and plenty of parking. I checked in filled out three forms and was taken back shortly after. The wait was fine and exceeded my expectations. Got to the back, met with the doctor who was fine at first. Started going over my history, and when we got to the part where I shared that I suffer from constipation and urgency to go at times it went downhill from there. He literally said that can't be. This is impossible! Glad to know how he feels, and totally discounted what I was saying or how I felt. But this is my issue. This is why we see doctors? To figure out why our bodies are not normal. Then we got to acid reflux. He took out a brochure to explain to me what I have. Mind you, I came there reporting that I had it. That means, I know what it is. He explained it once. Looked at me, asked if I understood. I said yes. He turned around and explained it again verbatim. I wish I was lying. Why twice? Then came other questions about what do I want to do? What medicine should I take daily? Why are you asking me what I want to do? I want to feel better! So it would work best if you advise my next steps. Then the icing on the cake. He started suggesting generic medications. I'm sitting here like why? Why is he doing this!? Finally, I said something. He had asked me if something was wrong. Yes, you were rude, insensitive and you judged me based on my insurance. How awful! You said well I suggested those because of your insurance. Had you just asked me my preference you would have learned my situation. I'm a successful IT Project Manager who lost insurance coverage while the company merges and we all had to sign up for this crappy insurance for the next 60 days. I honestly got tired of having to explain this. But the other doctors didn't treat me differently. Just you. I don't recommend this place. Thx read more

I have seen Dr. Sutliff several times, and he has done my colonoscopy several times. He ALWAYS takes time to explain things, answer questions, deal with the whole patient. For this reason, I highly recommend him. Going back soon!! read more
