Great little visit here. Lots of variety from military to toys to women's clothes and jewelry. A lot of items and the great thing is they were all organized and orderly! Even better was a wonderful employee named Smokey Joe the cat who stole our hearts. READ- VERY IMPORTANT!! cool stuff, really wanted to buy, but women was very rude, man didn't like to answer questions about the stuff they had for sell, got treated very poorly and rushed out the door, maybe because me and my girlfriend are young but still awful experience, young people apparently can't enjoy antiques, also the blonde women made a threatening comment about guns because I asked if the man done any trading, she replied with " all I know is guns kill people" place needs to be checked out by law enforcement or something, I just left and didn't argue because I didn't want my girlfriend in danger, they obviously don't want business. be careful. read more

Husband and I down in Maggie Valley on our annual vacation. I am addicted to Antique stores and flea markets and could not wait to return to Sutton's Antiques. They make improvements everytime I visit and have expanded and have more booths to check out. Anytime I shop here I always manage much to my delight to buy something. Sutton's is my kind of place, clean and very organized and they offer a restroom to their patrons to use. They have a broad variety of merchandise, something to everyone's liking if they are looking for something special. I think the prices are reasonable, and if you want something bad enough it is not that far from your reach! Just remember, once you walk out that door and leave, and then later on start saying to yourself, crap, I should of bought it, only to return to find that someone else came across it and was happy to pay the price?? CRAZY EXPENSIVE!!! You'll pay 2-3 times the price of brand new. You'd be wiser to go to Goodwill to shop. Tons of great finds but NOT worth the price. I do wish I had taken a couple of pictures of items with their price tags, but I didn't. I was excited when I saw it from the outside because I thought it looked like a salvage kind of place and I'd find a ton of great deals. I didn't see one thing in this store I would pay the price for. An old crate will cost you $15-$25. You can buy one the same size, brand new at Michael's and distress it yourself. I saw an old set of 10 white glass spice jars for $110!!! No, that's not a typo...$110. I liked the look, so I'll buy 10 clear glass spice jars, exactly the same size and shape for $1 each and paint them white. And everything was almost that much overpriced. So disappointing. I'm coming back to edit my review and give the place another star because if you just want to see some nice antiques, and are not really shopping, this is a great place to do that. Don't pass this one up when you are in the area! All of the staff were very nice and helpful. The selection was very good, so much to look at. Antiques and antiques, drove by this place and I had to stop, I saw two old school Chevy 1950's vintage vehicles that caught my eye, at first when I look at the place looks like a semi logg home attached to a old storage barn. Inside it had treasures after treasures, look more like a museum every space had a history and everything was for sale, we love it very unique and affordable Items to choose from. And Yes they do have plenty of things that will bring you back memories. The Staff are great very helpful and knowledable and ready to negoated a good price. This place is awesome and my kinda antique shop. Looks like sanford and sons outside. Inside it goes on forever. The main room is fantastic with all sorts of primitives, toys, tools, metalware etc. Then the back building is huuugge and filled with booths of awesome items. I think I only saw a handful of fakes or newer items. Everything else was old and real. Definitely check it out. Great prices as well. read more

Lots of nice things but way too pricey for the quality they offered. I like art pottery and almost every piece I examined had chips or cracks. The various dealers need to up their game. Spent a day hitting up all of the supposed antique stores and malls in Waynesville and this was one of the only ones that had any actual antiques. Having said that the dealers that did have a few nice pieces were outrageously expensive. I'm a dealer myself and I know what the value of things are supposed to be. But after going through so many horrible shops with beanie babies and pez dispensers, it was actually nice to see some better merchandise although I didn't buy anything because of the high prices. One of the better junk shops in the area. Lots of collectibles at decent prices, not just a tourist rip off. Most of their stuff is not true antiques, and what is is priced high. But you can usually find something for everyone here. read more

I really like his place and go here often. They have a very good assortment and it's a great sized store - not too small where you're in and out and not too big where you get lost for hours. They have a lot of smaller stuff that I like such as vintage hardware and toys. This is one of my favorite places. read more
