We had decided a statue of an officer should be part of the memorial and loved that Austin had a connection to emergency services. He helped us to choose the posture of the officer, ensuring that we did not infringe on anyone's copyright. His attention to detail and meticulous design was exactly what we needed! He helped with suggestions and worked with our Honor Guard to come up with just the right thing for the officer to be doing. He even insisted on helping with the install as this was his first law enforcement statue. Because of his help, we have a striking monument appreciated by our surviving families. Our "Guardian" is so realistic he appears that he could stand and walk away. We caught a local drunk crying, with her arm around him, telling him it would be okay!
