When interviewing, I asked if they had experience supporting people with trauma and they said that it was "Trisha's specialty." This divorce wasn't the only thing going on in my life, I was managing the sudden death of a family member and a health scare at the time. The staff was receptive and courteous in the beginning but after a couple months there was a misstep by their office about filing paperwork. It felt like they had more clients than they could handle. It set off some miscommunication in email and that was the sudden end of it. The conversation was handed over to Jennifer and she was quickly defensive and dismissive. Her emails were harsh. She notified my ex's lawyer that she wasn't going to be representing me anymore and I started fielding his calls again. I'm sure trauma and abuse come up in a lot of cases for them. It's a tough line of work. I just don't think it really clicked for them how much I was going through at the time. I had very limited interactions with Jennifer up until the termination and the treatment I got was not trauma informed. If you have a lot going on like I did, I wouldn't go with this office. It's not a compassionate place.

One that is unfamiliar and structured in such a way that it's almost impossible to navigate on your own. So if you find yourself having to enter into this system with a deeply emotional or traumatic situation on hand the pressure to have a wider perspective on how that system works is essential! That's where Jenn McCabe came in and completely changed the trajectory of my case the moment she took it on. She goes above and beyond to do whatever she needs to do to give you the best fighting chance in court. Before I had Jenn I had so much anxiety entering the court room. After having her as my advocate she represented me in court better then I could have ever done and I finally got the justice I deserved. This brought down my anxiety and kept me safe knowing someone else I could trust was representing me and presenting my case the best way possible. I've had an ongoing custody battle for over 2 years now and after hiring Jenn and her team I was able to attain full custody of my son and child support. Bottom line if you're looking for a highly competent, experienced and hardworking lawyer you can be assured that Jenn will meet all your expectations and more. I am beyond grateful for her guidance and level of professionalism. She's the real deal and very pleasant to work with, down to earth and passionate in what she does. All my gratitude to Jenn and her team again I couldn't have done it without them!

Was the head of the local Bar association, so that is a plus. Helped me with a grave case during the pandemic; I was unable to dump some lunatic tenants. You are a lunatic if the rent is low with a good maintained home, and you allow your five dogs to crap up the whole territory for five months at a time and expect and imagine other tenants want to step and smell the stench. Lunacy. As she was going nutty on me, her spit got on my face which then was the opportunity to kick her out on her butt. Sheriff want to fly up my mountain to cite her. I did not want that on her record. Now I have a more grave issue with a section 8 man on SSI and who bangs on the shared wall terrifying single mother and youth, and shouting outside like another lunatic I have to deal with. Attacked me verbally for enforcing pulling weeds as mentioned in lease. If he hears tiny dogs bark for even a few minutes, he is out in the garden bellowing. He came from a monastery and thinks ordinary family noise are intolerable and wants total silence. But the funnest part is this tenant insists on paying cash in a mail box down the road where it gets stolen ALL THE TIME, and I never use, and somehow wants me to go up and down the road on rent day until he is in the mood to deliver the rent. Go pray elsewhere and stop terrorizing women and children. But apparently you can only use the lawyer referral system only once. I usually can terminate on my own unless the person has violent and aggression issues, then I do need a lawyer. I will serve and see how he responds without a lawyer as I cannot afford one. I have stalled since May, but now that he has involved pounding on a wall where youth live, my foot will be arriving at his bottom soon so the kids can calm down and live in a safe home and I can work on my land to make it firewise, without the threat of this man exploding on me. I hide now in my home, and it angers me as I am also semi bed ridden for 30 years, a adult orphan, as we are called, for this tenant to refuse to go, when he is causing chaos as he prays to his god. But if I did have money; this lawyer would be my choice.
