Yup, it still exists! -Third is that this is a true local dive bar, with dead animals, old furniture, pool tables, and the local characters that go along with it, all of whom were friendly including the bartender ladies. -Fourth drinks are cheap here, at least compared to California and New York. I purchased 9 drinks(bought the first round for my 6 other friends), which included cocktails and beers, and my entire bar tab was only $43...awesome!!! I purchased their 1314 Barrel Aged Anniversary Ale for 2023. This Ale has had apparently a couple different versions and I believe they get discontinued once the anniversary for the business has passed and stock has run out. Which I suppose accounts for the extra cost I spent here for this beer and maybe some bragging rights since the beer is now out of production. This Ale is categorized as a Strong Ale of English style and it certainly lives up to that description very, very well. Flavor highlights with this beer are Boozy, Strong and Bourbon flavors and essences. The beer comes in at 11.7% ABV and it certainly feels it but if you are in the mood for a nice, strong beer then the 1314 is definitely a good candidate but snatch it up if you see it since it isn't consistently available. I imagine however there will be 2024 version coming out in which it could be slightly different.

This meat was definitely refrigerated and warmed over as it had that taste. The beans and potatoes were ok but nothing to write home about. The ribs were ok, taste was on par but nothing exceptional. I detected only a very light smoky flavor. The person who helped me obviously hadn't been trained as she could not answer any of my questions and had to keep asking someone else. While she was nice and really tried but was she knew nothing about the products or the priced that she was serving. All of the staff were respectful and friendly. The ambiance was a typical bar that smelled like smoked meat and was slightly smoky. It has a large and spacious dining area! One of the reviews I read said that they had smoked bacon ends but when I asked for the bacon ends, the fellow who acted like a manager said they have never had smoked ends of any kind. To sum up. I wouldn't return to this establishment again. I do not know where the reviews are coming from. But the food is nothing like what was described In the reviews.

From what I remember, there also was blacklights. I don't believe there was a cover charge, but as far as drinks go, I felt a bit rip off. First, you know the place is somewhat cheap when your drink is in a plastic cup with a huge COORS logo -- but besides that, my drink had way too much ice, so I didn't get much product in the cup! I was not happy since the drink was about 6$. Also there is smoking allowed inside...BEWARE... That aside, this place still gets a 4 star, even though the bartender didn't impress me that night, because this is Sheridan's first attempt to add a bar that caters more to the younger crowd.

In March of this year the new management as of 2023 decided to close and take a break; now on Google Maps the restaurant is "Temporarily closed." It never reopened and its sister restaurant in Bozeman, according to the Bozeman Real Estate Blog of June 30, 2026, also closed. I feel a quality, stable upscale restaurant is essential to the future success of The Historical Sheridan Inn. We love staying there.
