My primary care doctor referred me here about a year ago. I've been going to various pain management doctors for many years now. So far I've been here a handful of times and have seen Samantha Estes, Physician Assistant Certified. She has been extremely helpful and super nice. I've gotten the necessary MRI's done, referrals to specialists scheduled and refills on my prescription medication. I've been happy with the care I've received here. This office is fairly new. The first time I went, they were in the same building as my primary care doctor. The staff here are polite and helpful. Parking is plentiful and the restroom is located in the hallway not too far from the office door.

The past two months had been trending significantly worse and I'd spend most of my days grumbling about how I couldn't get any relief. I hadn't even heard of a medical massage, but a friend recommended it and I found this spot with a quick search. After ONE SESSION, my pain and tightness was reduced by at least 90% and stayed at that minimal level. After a second session a week later, I'm at a place that I haven't felt in years, and I'm able to work through my exercises and daily routine without hardly a thought about the pain. Staff claimed the practice does not accept SCAN Medicare plans, until a representative of SCAN kindly called to insist that Dr Nguyen is indeed a SCAN provider. 2. Staff does not accept phone calls and only with patience and persistence can you figure out how to leave a voicemail. 3. Staff does not listen to voicemails, at least not in a timely way. I left messages on three consecutive days to confirm my appointment, only to get another call asking me to confirm my appointment. 4. They have a fax number. Great! Email-to-fax my appointment confirmation. Three fax attempts, three busy signals. 5. HIPAA security is questionable. While trying to get a human I punched a series of zeroes and accidentally got into the voicemail retrieval system. If I hadn't hung up quickly, I could have listened to several days of unretrieved patient messages. 6. Tipping point: No parking within blocks. No way to ask staff for suggestions. Bailed.

Now I mainly go for maintenance since my desk job really affects my back. Dr. Jace is very attentive and makes sure that you are treated well. The appointments do not take long but provide such relief. They use a massage gun prior to the adjustments. You can book an appointment with them thru the phone or via text. More on the positive, they are open on Saturday and there's plenty of parking in the parking lot. They take insurance which makes it affordable but if you don't have insurance, they do have packages that you can buy to bring the price down. I highly recommend them. It's close to the freeway exit too so it's easy to get to.

He stepped out and after discussing his findings with Dr Wallace, the doctor himself came in. He asked me several questions and throughly explained the process of becoming a patient in his practice. 1) I must have a primary care doctor who is affiliated with UCSD 2) I must pass a comprehensive psychological evaluation. I met with Vickki, who did an excellent job asking detailed questions and guiding me through various movements to accurately identify the source of my pain. I came in with a shoulder injury and had been experiencing muscle spasms. My doctor had prescribed muscle relaxers and referred me to Spine & Sport for further treatment. Thankfully, their Saturday hours fit perfectly with my work schedule. I was told I'd be in great hands with Matthew Langworthy, and that turned out to be absolutely true. He designed a focused strengthening routine that targeted my problem area. The first few weeks were challenging, as I was still dealing with spasms, but by my final visit, I saw significant improvement. My shoulder felt much better, and Vickki also provided me with effective at-home exercises to maintain progress. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment and the office is magnificent! The receptionist…read moregreeted me promptly and with a smile. After signing in and taking care of the paperwork she asked me to go ahead and have a seat. When I went to sit down I noticed a faint sound of me being at the beach. I heard waves crashing delicately against the rocks to and fro. I heard seagulls and a few other birds as well as a slight sound of wind. This was so cool. I looked around and found a white sound machine sitting on one of the tables in the well decorated waiting room. I was already so nervous and this completely calmed me down. I loved it! I was called in approximately 15 minutes after my appointment time and Dr. Jablecki introduced himself. We sat down and began to discuss my case when I noticed that he has five pens (my favorite ones too) in his top left shirt pocket. While he is talking I start noticing ink appearing on his shirt. I didn't know whether to ignore it or tell him. You know me Yelp peeps. I excused myself for interrupting and advised him that it was leaking. The Dr. removed the pen and got up to put white tape to cover up the ink so that it wouldn't bother me. How could he tell I was OCD? lol. That was a great customer service move! We went on with the intake and then went into the examination room. This room was very well decorated and homely at the same time. It was a cross between a doctors room and a vintage massage room. I noticed a complete wall with accommodations and degree wall of fame which also included an official award from the President of the United states certificate signed by the Secretary of State. My favorite was the award for him being an honorary Eagle Scout with The Boy Scouts of America! As I looked at the wall the only thing that I could think of was "I really bet that his Momma must have been so proud!". While I waited I was thirsty and the receptionist brought me some nice cold water (that is customer service). I did not like the process that I needed to have done but Dr. Jablecki made it more tolerable. He is very polite and personable. He will answer every question you have and not mince words. He tapes all of his findings with you sitting right there which keeps you in the loop of your prognosis even if you do not understand everything he is saying. My experience over all was exceptional.
