I've been trying to call this office countless times and have left multiple messages just to set up an appointment for my father, but no one ever calls back. The only way we were able to get an appointment was by physically driving there. When we arrived, there were at least three receptionists just standing around chatting, which made it even more frustrating considering no one seems to answer the phones or return messages. To make matters worse, even my pharmacy couldn't get a hold of them to verify a prescription. It's incredibly disappointing and concerning, especially when you're trying to coordinate care for a family member. Communication and responsiveness should be the bare minimum for a medical office, and unfortunately this place completely failed in that regard. read more

Hands down one of the best experiences I have ever had with going to any doctor. The entire team was welcoming, genuine, professional and took the time to explain things in a simple non-medical terms. Dr. Monali Patel is by far the best neurologist I've ever seen. I've had migraines since I was 13 years old. And in 2006 I was diagnosed with complicated migraines. I have tried several different remedies over the years, and nothing has seemed to stick. Then I met Dr. Patel! She listens, cares, and wants to help me as a person for my overall health and wellness. She asked me questions, performed a test, and gave me injections that no other neurologist ever did. I highly recommend going to her. The office staff is also great! It's amazing how she remembers all of her patients and truly takes the time to understand all of their needs. Though there are a TON of staff here (seriously have never seen so many people running around a medical office), there was ZERO follow up on the test results. I am so taken aback at this woman's behavior, that I have chosen to take my complaints to the Medical Board... "Dr." Monali Patel reduced a grown woman to tears in her office without zero remorse and got paid for it. Patel used her position to medically gaslight, restrict and withhold crucial medical information from me, simply because she perceived her medical authority as being challenged... In other words, simply because I asked for a second opinion. Whatever you do, DO NOT POLIETLY ASK FOR A SECOND OPINION. She immediately became evidently and audibly agitated... The entire exchange made me so uncomfortable that my hands started to visibly tremble during her examination. Dr. Patel then proceeded to further humiliate me (in a room full of staff, as well as my boyfriend) by scoffing-- laughing at me and remarking OUTLOUD "you're shaking, you seem emotional..." Patel also apparently uses profanity freely on the clock and; verbatim, referred to the car accident I almost died in as "a shitty thing that happened and needs to be moved on from now". After being reduced to tears and all the gaslighting, she proceeded to angrily spend the rest of my appointment trying to dismantle/invalidate the network of already established doctors, lawyers and physicians I worked very hard to get and whom I already trust greatly... She told me to leave her office and abruptly ended my appointment when I made it clear that she wouldn't be the ONLY doctor in my life. What a BIZZAREE encounter... Very egotistical, NOT interested in being wrong and VERY by the book. Numerous REAL reviews has stated she doesn't answer phone calls, emails, etc. Numerous REAL reviews have stated she tries to funnel vitamins to her patients who are paying her hundreds of thousands of dollars per visit... She gets paid to traumatize and ignore us with a holistic twist. If you value your health, please avoid this lizard in a skin suit... I am currently back tracking with Dr. Hosalkar, Dr. Yogi Patel, the Medical Board, and whomever else is involved with this woman. My health depends on it. read more

I cannot stop raving about Dr. Patel, she is an ABSOLUTE ANGEL First doctor to finally give me some answers after a year of others not taking me seriously or just blaming "anxiety" Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, a true professional, won MANY awards, and personable, she is extremely compassionate and she truly goes above and beyond to help her patients, you can tell she genuinely cares about helping her patients and helping them heal She double checks everything and looks over everything in detail to make sure she hasn't missed anything and takes all your symptoms seriously. If you are having trouble finding a diagnosis I highly recommend seeing dr Patel! Also, she won't prescribe something unless it's truly needed for your case and i love that she also has a holistic approach with vitamins and other therapies. I have been with Dr. Patel now for almost two years and she has been incredible to my family and I, personally and professionally. When I met Dr. Patel I was new to the area and I had no idea I was being treated by such an accomplished and amazing physician. It didn't take long for me to realize that Dr. Patel cares greatly about her patients and that she will do whatever is within her reach to help them. I sometimes see people holding physicians to unrealistic standards and we expect them to be perfect, but I have seen the amount of patients this superwoman handles along with all the smily faces that are walking out of her office as I wait to be seen, thus wondering if she is as close to perfect as one can be. I took my father to Dr. Patel after he started to experience intense vertigo. He had been putting off going to see a specialist for a while until it got to be quite bad one particular day. Luckily, Dr. patel's office was very quick to schedule him in. The office was clean and staff was very friendly. We checked in and we're seen without too much of a wait. I was also very impressed by the technology they had in clinic, which ultimately allowed my father to be treated for his vertigo the same day!!! dr. Patel was very knowledgeable , extremely thorough in her exam , listened carefully, and included my dad in the conversation when making her final treatment decisions. This last part was extremely appreciated as my dad has had some negative experiences with doctors in the past, but he was extremely happy with the care Dr. Patel provided. I have a very hard time believing all the five star reviews. My experience matches the guy who felt like a rotting dog. In my case it took 10 months before her office followed up with me after I walked out upset and in pain. I could have left and hung myself and all she cared about was the bill for $535 that arrived a week after the follow up call. So disappointing. Wow, I was impressed with Dr Patel's qualifications and really wanted to make an appt for my husband...what a pain. I called five times, got transferred twice and hung up on. Put on hold and then disconnected three times. Office staff was curt and kept transferring me around but both times I got Dr. Patels office they hung up on me after putting me on hold....forget it, going to Scripps Clinic where the office staff doesn't make your first impression a negative one. read more

Would NOT recommend in general, but especially if you have lyme disease..She ordered the test & I didn't even know what lyme was, turns out I was positive. She said YOU DONT have lyme, lyme doesn't exist in California, its impossible, focus on something else...Despite evidence to the contrary & evidence she ordered..Left me to rot like a dog in the street, of course after they fleeced me of thousands of dollars & endless run around. I saw Dr. Patel after seeing the 5 star reviews here. She seemed to honestly try to help me even though she didn't know a lot about my rare disease, transverse myelitis. I would give just her 4 stars. Her office staff, especially Diane, has been terrible. She doesn't return calls and she doesn't send in prescriptions without asking multiple times. Now I've moved and I'm trying to get my records sent to a new neurologist, one who specializes in myelitis. But Diane won't send my medical records!! I've been trying for 2 months! I don't understand what her problem is. She's nice enough on the phone when she answers. Still won't return my calls, though. But no records. And the new doctor won't make an appointment until they can review my records. I don't know what to do at this point except complain here. Diane answers the phone (when anyone does), so I can't get around her to talk to a manager or the doctor. ARGGG! I liked Dr. Patel, but I couldn't recommend her because it's just so frustrating dealing with Diane. Avoid this office! Update: Dr. Patel called me after seeing this review to apologize. She said Diane was very remorseful. When I talked to Diane, she did not sound remorseful, in fact, she was very curt. I never did get my records sent to the new doctor, even after they contacted Diane directly. At least they were sympathetic and agreed to see me with what records I could get from the hospital and what I had already obtained from the doctor herself when I saw her. Dr. Patel has thus far been a decent doctor. However, every single time I have to go there or deal with the office staff, its a headache. Not only do people not call me back, they do not provide me information that would be important for my office visit like failing to tell me in a phone call that my botox never showed up but only to confirm that exact appointment (because of course driving 45 mins to get there for nothing isn't a waste of anyones time), there have been claims that they are not receiving paperwork, when all other sources claim they have been sent. Its always a headache and extra frustration. While I do like Dr. Patel, I am in search of someone who is closer to my home and who's office staff is less of a hassle for me. Dr. Patel has saved my life and my soul! My symptoms had sent me into a deep downward spiral and I was near the end. I had been to many neurologists and other specialists with no answers. After one visit with Dr. Patel, she turned everything around. My symptoms suddenly began to make sense. She spent an extensive amount of time explaining my condition and what the best treatment options were. Without her I would be DEAD. My life has completely turned around and I owe it all to Dr. Patel. On a side note, she also cured my vertigo! And this was a symptom I didn't even see her for. I used to wake up in the morning feeling like the room was spinning and after a short discussion with Dr. Patel she diagnosed me with something called BPPV. I suffered from horrific dizzy spells for over 35 years, after numerous visits to various doctors (all of who shrugged their shoulders and said I was suffering from anxiety) and thinking I was going crazy, Dr. Patel methodical approach took me through a series of tests that pointed in the direction of migraine variant. She put me on medication and WOW! I am able to do things I have never been able to do before. She changed my life! I can now enjoy things like shopping, visiting monuments up on high elevations, walking down corridors..simple things that left me in tears as I was nearly incapacitated at times. Dr. Patel is my favorite doctor of any type that I've ever seen. After being mis-diagnosed at the ER, she figured out very quickly that I had a stroke. She always makes you feel like you're the only patient she has, and is extremely caring. Danielle is the best as well. They both take the time to get to know you personally, they know the right questions to ask, and are the best at letting you know what's going on and what you should do. As I walked in, I witnessed an elderly patient who had waited 6 weeks for her appointment and driven 35 miles, turned away for being ONE minute late! My intervention was to no avail and the poor woman left in anger and tears! Dr. Patel was recommended to me by my prior neurologist whom I highly admired and respected. I waited 8 weeks for my appointment and was seeking relief for my various chronic pains and conditions! But all she did was reiterate facts I already knew, recommend a repeat test which my neurosurgeon had said was not necessary, and other tests to run up charges! The last straw was that she refused to even prescribe muscle relaxant to relieve my pain! read more
