What started off in 2010 as a friendly recommendation (for our farm-y morning wedding shoot in 2010), has turned into 3 more sessions over the years, and a photographic story as our lives progress--Suzanne is part of the exciting moments and we couldn't imagine sharing them with anyone else. Our wedding photos were so incredible! Suzanne captured moments that were weren't even aware of--side conversations with cousins laughing, the "look" of a proud father as he watches his daughter from a distance, details on the tables and surrounding nature that seemed to always have the perfect background, the perfect amount of artistic "blur" (that's probably not the technical name!). Whatever it is, we love it--and her. So much in fact that we have invited her to join us on other exciting life adventures over the past 3 years. A few years ago, we asked Suzanne to take photos of our home business (a bed & breakfast), so we could design a new website. Since that time, at least half of the folks who lodge with us comment on the website, and how gorgeous it is--how the essence is captured from the photos and JUST HAD to come visit. It shows Suzanne's versatility--whether it's objects or people, she just nails it! Most recently, Suzanne did my pregnancy shoot, capturing my baby bump in the perfect light, flattering all angels of my body (which I may have been self-conscious about at first... but that went right out the window!) She has a way of making you feel beautiful, comfortable in your own skin, like you want to laugh and be natural, and that you are doing exactly what she's asking for. Speaking of, Suzanne gives the perfect amount of instruction, and then isn't afraid to just let it all go and excitedly exclaim, "Ooooh do that again, THAT! That thing you just did with your head, again!) The quality of the photos is breathtaking. They are so vivid. Sometimes, looking back through them, I find myself smiling--actually hearing the laughter, seeing those threatening clouds, smelling the wedding cake. The shots are crisp, yet natural, and the light is always just right. She is a light-worshiper, to say the least and seems to find it in the most amazing places. Suzanne SEES, and I think that is the most striking thing. She sees the moments that should be captured, and wraps them up in a perfect package. Without a doubt, we will be returning again and again and the years go by, to Suzanne Rothmeyer Photography. The story will continue, and we can only hope she will be there to capture the memories. My fiance and I spent a great deal of time looking at several different photographer's work before deciding to book Suzanne for our wedding. Photography was my biggest concern in the planning process. But it was my fiance, a guy not really interested in any part of the wedding planning, that ultimately said we have to have HER as our photographer. He said it was because with Suzanne our wedding photos will look like they 'belong in a magazine' and not just like pretty pictures. I was ecstatic he had chosen her because I felt the same way. When we met with the beautiful Suzanne, we were so impressed by her professionalism we also chose to book her for our engagement pictures. When shooting us, Suzanne was wonderful at directing us, making us feel comfortable, putting us in locations we could tell she had a clear artistic vision that even if we couldn't see it then, would come across in our photos. And boy did she capture us wonderfully. Suzanne has a way of taking the feelings being emoted in those moments while shooting and bringing them to life in a way people get to enjoy forever. We felt it was truly amazing how she showed the world not only how much we love one another, but also how much fun we have being together. We cannot wait for her to shoot our wedding! I have had the absolute pleasure of working with (or watching Suzanne work) quite a few times. Years ago she shot my sister's engagement, wedding and boudoir photos. All of them stunning, truly. I then worked with her when she shot me and my sisters in some family portraits for my parents. And lastly, I had the joy of working with Suzanne for my own engagement, wedding and boudoir photos the summer of 2013. Needless to say, Suzanne has become a go to photographer for our family. She has literally cried her way (with us) through so many of our joys, capturing the steadfast love that my family (and the men we have added to it) have for each other. I must say that I feel that Suze's passion for what she does REALLY shines in her boudoir work. I have NEVER seen a session of her's that hasn't take a woman (of any shape, size and color) and delivered absolutely stunning photos. Suzanne was our wedding photographer 2 years ago in Anacortes. We were so lucky to have her available to capture our wedding day. She made sure to spend some time with is prior to the wedding so she could get a sense of our personalities and preferences. Our wedding pictures are AMAZING. Suzanne is absolutely amazing! We met her at a friends wedding about 4 years ago. After seeing the photos she took, i was so impressed that i booked a family session. WOW!!! Suzanne has am amazing eye and an incredible way of making photo sessions enjoyable. I have done two separate boudoir sessions with her and felt so very at ease, even being completely naked.
