Construction area is well marked and closed.

This park has been near and dear to my kid's hearts for years. It's going through a bit of a renovation but still open so people can walk pets, run and enjoy it's beauty. The playground is roped off. It's being resurfaced. But the skateboard park, the sand volleyball, the basketball and baseball areas are all open and ready to be enjoyed. Right now, it's wide open and there are no events attracting crowds. You can take a quiet walk through my favorite place to see a movie, hear a band and/or send your kid to summer camp. It's always been a gem and after the construction is complete , it will be the same great place but better!

This park is super cute. There is both a wood and plastic play structure. There are also various facades. They include a general store, house, mine, boat & train. I may be missing a couple. They give children lots of opportunities to use their imaginations. Play areas are designed for various ages/abilities. The riverboat picnic area is an adorable nod to the riverboats on the Ohio River. A small slash pad is turned on in the summer. There are also various sports fields. The park even has a snack bar. It was not open at the time of our visit. The only thing stopping me from giving Beech Acres 5 stars is that a few areas are in disrepair. It looks like they may be in the process of fixing some of those up. Overall, we had a very pleasant visit at the park. I look forward to visiting this park with my children again.

I absolutely love this park! The reason I didn't give five stars is that EVERYONE loves this park, so it's typically pretty crowded at prime times. Thankfully it's a good sized park and even in a crowd the kids can still have fun. The park has a sand pit and multiple play grounds that allow it to be suitable for a large age range. It has swing sets, climbing rocks and even a water area! There are shaded pavilions with picnic tables where you can rest or even hold a birthday party. Another great feature about this park is their event "Grilled Cheese Wednesdays" in which a truck serving grilled cheese's and hot dogs shows up and you can purchase lunch for a buck! They have drinks and pretzels too.

My favorite park to take my toddler. The big sand pit is a hit. My favorite part is the rubber ground opposed to mulch. The splash pad is a little small but worth it! The playground is split up in different levels for little ones to big kids. It could use more shade and more swings but still a favorite.

Great playground, high quality athletic fields, a skate parks and a wonderful track. Even has an outdoor splash area for those hot days. Overall, am amazing park in he heart of Anderson.

Fairytale-like house [Cincinnati OH]…read more We couldn't just drive-by this whimsical house without stopping and doing a double take... and staring. This is the Mushroom House in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Cincinnati. The amount of detail is really breathtaking: circular steel steps, deck rails of wood shingles, stained glass windows, tiled ceilings... of course, I had to snap some pics. How often do we come to Cin City. The original owner/builder by the name of Terry Brown has passed away in 2008. The house is currently not on the market and occupied as a private residence as of 2021. Here are the deets in Zillow: 1 beds, 1 baths, 1,260 sq-ft. If you are curious about the inside of the home you can click on this link and watch it on YouTube: https://youtu.be/pVUFwH9Q6fk Review #3885

It is a relatively young house, when it comes to house age. It was started to get built by architect Terry Brown in 1992 and completed in 2006. Terry Brown him self resided in it until his passing in 2008. This house looks like a mushroom from a certain angle, and like an owl from another. It is a fairytale house in the real world. There's so much fine detail, there's no wonder it had taken this genius man 14 years to complete this artistic masterpiece of a home. The spiral orange stair case was chained off not allowing access to the public. There was a car parked in the driveway as well as a surveillance camera. They also had a "no trespassing" sign. The land around, although very minimal is very well groomed and well kept. Something tells me there are people who currently reside here. I don't know how I would feel about living in a home that gets so much attention and that is always being photographed. The Mushroom House is a must see in Cincinnati. Use your fairytale imagination to guide you inside. Happy travels!

A wonderful location to view the bustling activity along The Ohio River Trail, and a place to gather and celebrate as a community. The park boasts multiple water play features, giant swings, an interactive foot piano, an imaginative play area for kids, expansive pollinator gardens, and Carol Ann's Carousel. Several historical monuments can be found like the Black Brigade Monument and the recently dedicated Marian Spencer Statue. I was on a roadtrip and my family dropped me off in downtown Cincinnati and I gravitated to Smale Riverfront Park because I wanted a place to explore nature and see river views. I explored the scenic walkways along the Ohio, flower gardens, fountains, public art, picnic spots, and plenty of space to just chill. One of my favorite features were the riverfront swings, big, bench-style swings tucked along the water that are perfect for kicking back and enjoying the view. They're surprisingly comfortable and such a great spot to unwind and reconnect with your inner child. The park has amazing views of the Roebling Suspension Bridge and Ohio River are worth the visit on their own, the paths are wide and great for families, and there's lots to explore without feeling overcrowded. There are splash zones for kids, places to sit and picnic, and tons of photo ops.

The riverfront was very peaceful. The park was clean. I couldnt find how to access the ferry.read more
