The school has a great reputation as a medium priced private Adelaide school which provides boarding options and facilities for rural, interstate or international students. They do not specialise in any particular field, but prefer to be strong across a wide range of the curriculum. Their facilities are second to none boasting an indoor swimming pool with three indoor sports courts and full tennis facilities. For those in the arts there is a dance studio and a theatre and a reputable music program. They have language program in German and Japanese and have sister schools in both countries, which allows students to complete some of their studies over there in a student exchange. Great reputation for academic success with the majority of students achieving high level employment opportunities.

The place doesn't look like much from the outside, and to be honest it doesn't seem that great on the inside too. I recommend looking at the website to look for toys though, it's very handy. You can search through the catalogues by category, brand or even the age of the child. Prices aren't too bad, and no more than what you would spend at larger chain stores such as Toy World or Toys R Us. But I rather the idea of spending money and supporting family owned stores.

They also have some great special needs toys for kids with disabilities. I went here to get some great easy puzzled for my youngest and some specila items such as thera band - which I could only find here or I would have to order it online through a Physio site. They also have an amazing amount of sand and water play toys. It's really difficult to get water toys nowadays. Most the big department stores have a very limited range and it's not great. This place has some cool things to keep them occupied at bath time. They also now have a fully functional website with online ordering capabilities. Heaps easier if you don't live close as this is about the only store in SA with a lot of these items. Plus you can search by category, brand or age. There service has always been excellent and they definitely know their products well. Their pricing is a bit above places like Big W or K-Mart but their range is better and the quality great too.

I attended Mitcham Girls High School more years ago than I care to admit. At present Mitcham is the…read moreonly public all girls school in South Australia which is the main point of difference worth noting. This means the yearly fee for all students is $555, instead of the thousands you would be obliged to pay to attend any other all girls school in the state. I found the curriculum followed and level of support generally to be of a high standard. These factors, were of course, as I am sure they are in all schools dependant on the teachers taking the classes. Some clearly appealed to my style of learning more than others. The school day runs from 8:40 am to 3:15 pm. I found the sporting and extra-curricular areas especially rewarding. There are also several opportunities provided by the school to do a small amount of travel, on organised camps and excursions. The facilities were generally very good with a large gymnasium, large open greenspace, shaded quadrangle and even a swimming pool on the campus. There is a small tuck shop and all but final year students are not allowed to go off campus during the school day.

The school encourages students to achieve personal excellence, respect and global citizenship. These values have help other students and myself to become the best we can be. The teachers are very supportive and are always willing to help us, even outside of lesson times. They know the best ways to teach us, and they help us learn to become strong, independent, intelligent young women. I feel quite comfortable and safe when I am with my teachers. An all-girls environment does not work for all people, but it did for me. I feel confident with myself and transitioning into uni and Tafe in a couple of years. I feel the school has excelled in what it needs to do for youth education and more life skills.

I had no skills in coffee making before the course. I don't even drink coffee but they spent time with me. The training materials are comprehensive and provide a great overview.
