Breakfast is included with lovely full English breakfast, smoked salmon & scrambled eggs, or poach haddock and egg to choose from. Rooms are lovely and clean, and has a convenient car park at the back (just make sure you car is not a sports car, or its bottom out at the drive in). Staffs are all really friendly, and communication has been great. All in all, I will come again and strongly recommend! Only one small complaint, the floors do creak and are not exactly thick, so when you have other exciting guests on the floor above or around, you here their every step or any exciting things they might be doing. The car park is also way too small.

The hotel also has a gym and free bicycles you can use. About 1/4 mile down the street are 14th century ruins that are worth a visit, just follow the signs to the church.

I like how they had a nice kids menu for £10 and kids scarfed down the cheesy pasta happily. I ordered one of the specials which was a halibut (£36) and it was super delicious! Gnocchi and fish were seasoned and cooked perfectly and I couldn't stop trying to eat every last bite. Other two in the party had the peri peri chicken and burger, both also praising the food. It was a very memorable meal and highly recommend it!

Well we were spotted naked in bed…read more..... A great stay in a quiet room with a wonderful claw foot tub and a brilliant comfy bed...what more can you ask for? I booked a 2 for 1 special on the room and I was impressed with the quality, the cleanliness (I'm a retired inn owner) and also the housekeeping. We had supper at the inn both nights and the food was delicious, portions generous and the beer well cellared. All the staff were personable and we liked the fact that out of season the place was a joy to stay in as we heard no other guests. However the window cleaners who appeared one morning at 09.15 nearly got an eyeful of adult form...but graciously decided to not clean the window right next to our bed. We were disappointed as we'd love to share....and believe you and me ...we are nothing to write home about! We will return.....

We booked this last minute and as soon as we walked in, were ignored. A white couple came in after us and the blonde waitress went directly around us and took them to a table. I made direct eye contact as she was taking them, as if to say, I saw that and yes we're still here. She intentionally avoided us completely after as we were standing there waiting to be helped. The man behind the bar saw, seated us instead, and then we were ignored for another 20 minutes. I asked another blonde waitress if we could be helped and she said WE'LL GET TO YOU. She had never even acknowledged our presence or existence prior. I was already so upset we just decided to leave after that. We left with empty bellies and a trip to a local grocery store instead. There's a Yelp review from 9 days ago about this and one on TripAdvisor from this month saying the EXACT SAME THING.

The idyllic, remote countryside setting was hard to resist. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated in traditional English country style and the grounds are beautifully kept with natural English gardens in both the front and back. Our room was very clean and well-appointed with little biscuits, tea and a lovely big tub. Why not five stars? 1.) we had brought local cheese and crackers with us to enjoy in the front garden for a little picnic and were told we couldn't have "outside" food there and would need to make purchases which was off putting given the great setting and that there was literally no one else out there. 2.) The food in the restaurant is *so* delicious but the atmosphere could really use some work. It felt like we were in a sterile cruise ship dining room with awkward music playing and near silence. It felt like this room had a different decor style from much of the remainder of the Manor. Some simple tweaks like a change of music and different wallpaper/chairs could make the dining room experience 5 stars.
