None the less we'd stay again given these lessons learned.

The campground has great camper spots and all the campers are so nice. I stayed in the cabins and they are also renovated with wonderful views of the lake. It is such a peaceful place away from the tourist traps of East Tennessee. OMG, did i mention they have boat rentals? We did kayaks one day and pontoon one day. It was fabulous and the staff were so eager to ensure we were taken care of. I would give it six stars if I could.

Guides are friendly and fun all while giving the sense of trust that they are looking out for your safety. Our group was 4 parents in one raft and 5 young adults in another (each raft can hold 6). I know the experience through the rapids depends on the approach, but for us the very first rapid was the roughest. From there, we got the hand of it a little better and the rest of the trip was super fun.
