Not a bad proposition at all. As a former member of a product management community, the last Tuesday of the month held meetings at the Metro Hall in one of the many meeting rooms it houses. Upon entry to the large open space, I found the appropriate floor and went searching for my meeting room. As I passed meeting after meeting that was being held that night, it became very apparent that Metro Hall has the ability to afford virtually any shape and size of meeting. Facilities are brightly lit, spacious, clean, and given the frugal nature of the organization I was in, affordable. Metro Hall provides much in its location and facilities, and also has a large outside courtyard which is also a good place to sit down, relax, grab a snack or a coffee, and gear up for any meeting that you may have inside.

The center itself is quaint compared to the event venue next door, and offers classes for adults and children with ongoing exhibits. I have my daughter registered for a summer art camp this year and visiting this center is always such a pleasure. The grounds are meticulously maintained but the center is tucked behind the event venue so you don't get a lot of foot traffic that are visiting the Guild Inn. It's a lovely place for a visit, if you're planning an outing to the Guild.

It makes my local one, Milliken Community Centre, look like it's not trying hard enough! I was here for Happy Cute Mart yesterday, which occupied one of the multi-purpose rooms. When I was briefly heading towards the south entrance, I saw folks studying in the library, which was fairly close to where this event was. The room that held this event was large. The south entrance doors were accessible, with buttons to open the door and no steps to deal with. Just before this multi-purpose room, you had to option of walking up steps or using the ramp. I chose the ramp to test it out. It was good. I didn't use the washrooms during my 1.5-hour stay. They are available throughout the centre. This community centre is impressive. It houses two NHL-sized rinks that are 85 x 200 feet in length. Seating capacities are somewhat intimate for NHL regulation-sized rinks at 300 and 600 folks, depending on which rink you are at. There are six dressing rooms for each rink. This place also has a therapy pool. It has an accessibility handrail throughout the pool and deck areas, which is nice. There's also a wheelchair ramp. The pool temperature is set at 35°C. It has one gymnasium that I never got to see. I like that there's a seniors centre that is the home of the Thornhill Seniors Club. It houses one of three City of Markham Health and Fitness Centres. It also has a dance and wellness studio. Pretty cool! I feel the need to return and check out some of these programs out. I'm not using my local community centres as much as I should. There was a lot of parking around the building. I managed to find a decent parking spot on a Saturday afternoon despite the event's popularity on top of regular programs offered by this centre. I liked everything that I saw while I was here. I visited Thornhill Community Centre for the Happy Cute Mart holiday market in early November, and…read moreit was a pleasant visit :) The community centre was very big, and we were guided to go into one of the multi-purpose rooms with 80+ vendors inside from the south entrance (wheelchair is accessible). I didn't get a chance to explore the entire space, but I knew that there is a Tim Hortons on site, 2 skating rinks, a library, plus, washrooms are available throughout the community centre. There were plenty of parking spots around the building. Though for this holiday event, the lot was maxed out, and we had to park further out. The local bus actually comes through the parking lot too.

Sherwood Community Centre is my favourite community centre in Milton. It's the newer community…read morecentre, so it's thoughtfully laid out and has plenty to offer - a swimming pool, ice rinks, a library, 4 rentable party rooms, & a concession area. We took our son here at 8 months old for swimming lessons, and loved the facility. The changerooms are not separated by men/women, so anyone can go into them (would prefer a mens only, womens only, and family one), but for the amount of swimming lessons that go on here, I believe the shared changerooms make the most sense for all the families. It was helpful when coming as a family of 3 and needing my husbands help to change our son afterwards. We also attended a birthday party in one of the rooms and it was very spacious and had everything the organizers needed (tables, chairs, a kitchen area, and it was close to the washrooms).

They also run summer/ March break sporting camps (tennis, basketball). This centre also features a play place in a room with really high ceilings - includes a small play structure and some kids toys throughout. There is a small sensory room that is always supervised. A large library with private study rooms available for booking. The pool is so spacious and bright! Large pool available for lane swim and a decent size kid pool. There is also a waterslide and small splash pad that isn't always in use/ turned on. The onsite gym isn't the largest but has decent equipment and a nice large 3 lane track (slow, medium, fast) that overlooks the gymnasium from above. Parking garage has been under construction for years. It also doesn't connect to the rec centre directly during this time of construction/ sometimes the elevator is not operational which is inconvenient especially in the winter when you have to exit the parking garage only to walk a few meters to enter the rec centre.

His going to the gym with an adult. wearing crocs becuase they're doing weights. first he said no because of his age, then said no because because his wearing crocs. the only gym that crocs is not allowed. he can atleast sound nice atleast. It's like extra freaking school man. You already have the full day of school and then you got the horror of going back to something just like it so I would not recommend even going there. They are just discriminating against all type of sports like pickle like just not pickle ball. I'm like surprised I came with a volleyball volleyball and a full bag of supplies to play with the volleyball so me and my dad were about to play in the gym right and just because they had drop they had no drop in volleyball. They didn't allow us to to play And then they said that we have to register into the system like I'm not going back to this place ever again neither am I going to any community centre like here's the thing I want to go play volleyball but here's the thing that's the only thing they don't allow terrible experience if I could give a zero star I would.
