I absolutely love Lift Society. This gym has completely transformed my fitness journey. I started…read morein November 2024 and have been consistently training ever since. The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely committed to fitness. I've learned proper form, improved my posture, and built strength I didn't know I had. When I first started lifting, I was wobbly and off-balance - like Bambi. Now, I feel confident and powerful. I've also gained a much better understanding of how important nutrition is. This is hands down the best gym I've ever been to, and I'm so glad I found it. Shout out to the trainer Alexis who has been so patient with me and cheered me on since day one. She's so motivational. She always has such a warm and positive spirit about her. I don't know how she does it with her super early morning classes lol She is truly a gem. Out of all trainers I have ever had she is the one that has inspired me the most to know that it's possible and I can do it. The proof is there! I've done DEXA scans along the way and I've continuously cut fat and gained muscle.

The small group training format makes a huge difference: the coaches genuinely care about your progress, and you feel like you're getting stronger together. Their approach is refreshingly balanced, no pressure to train every single day. They encourage consistency with a realistic 3x-a-week cadence that's sustainable and actually delivers results. One of the biggest standouts is their incredible nutritionist, Celia. She's knowledgeable, encouraging, and keeps things flexible and realistic, no rigid plans or extreme restrictions. Plus, because she's also a trainer at the gym, she understands the full picture of your training and can tailor her guidance accordingly. I've worked with several nutritionists in the past and Celia is by far the best. Lift Society even throws in the occasional social outing, which makes it feel more like a community than just a gym. It's honestly one of the hardest things to leave behind as I move from LA to Brooklyn.

Shannon is great at providing different accommodations based off skill level and/or injury. Kris is super motivating and is super helpful in guiding you when you're working out on the bench press. Bonus is that Sydney makes an appearance occasionally (Kris's dog) lol My schedule has stopped me from going back the last month, but the atmosphere and the regulars who show up on Sundays are calling my name. If you haven't already, you should definitely check out the gym venice

It is the first gym where I felt comfortable at and actually felt that the staff cared about achieving your goals. What attracted to me at first was that they specialize on people who are over 40 (I am 57) which was perfect for me. I feel I have learned about my needs and this padawan can now go work out on his own. Thank you Kris and my trainer - Chuck. It was truly an amazing experience and in time I want to return to brush up on my training after I fly on my own. Highly recommended.

For a big box gym, I can't complain. What surprised me is this location uses Rogue bars, bumpers,…read moreand GHR machine for their hub rack area. But as with any other big box gym, the expensive specialized equipment are also subject to wear and tear. The GM is personable, and makes the rounds to check on people, equipment and cleaning wipes, which are readily available and most people seem to use, so bravo to that. It gets crowded, particularly during the late afternoon to early evenings. During my time here, I've not been snubbed by people, and have offered others to work in because waiting between equipment can take time. Dumbbells are more often than not in the racks where they belong when not used, which is rare in big box gyms. This is probably one of the better big box gyms around. I enjoyed my time here.

So, I have gotten some of the methods to parking decent enough. Because of my soon to be new hip, I need my door to be wide open when getting back in. Some of the people working there have been helpful. Now, on to a parking issue today when leaving. I was parked in the inner spot, that means that one of the attendents need to move the other car. Well, that took say 15 minutes as this parking guru was too busy doing nothing and I raised my voice at bit to say "when are you going to move this other car," and he was far away from me at the time. When the jerk finally started to walk to the car he told me to be polite. I am polite but not after the wait on the tarmac without a response from the cockpit. Ugh...the parking here is such a mess and I wish they would hire some decent folks, pay them well and all could be happy.
