I want to live a Sweaty Betty lifestyle. In my head, this lifestyle consists of springing effortlessly around like a gisele, looking sleek and long limbed in my yoga pants and tie wrap top. The reality is somewhat different. I buy my so last season gym stuff from T K Maxx, wear it once, and become sweaty and red faced while doing so.
I tend to avoid Sweaty Betty because I am always a bit unpleasantly surprised by the cost of the clothes. I see that hasn't changed - the business of keeping fit is serious stuff, and you need to pay accordingly. Gym and yoga bottoms go up to about £50, and tops and hoodies can be anything up to £75.00. I suppose it is because the clothes are designed to be gym and sweat friendly, so are made with cotton 'sweat tech'.
Still, I had been looking for a headband for ages, and they had one here that ticked all my boxes. The staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly, and offered me a promotional card, lots of leaflets about local exercise classes and finished my transaction by giving me a chocolate from the bowl on the counter.
