This is the second time we've used Sean. He is our go-to for our electrical needs. I called him and he answered the phone. I told him the breaker for my hot water heater had tripped, was really warm and was putting out an odor. I told him I was going to be home all day and he said he could be here in approx. an hour. While here, he not only checked the breaker/breaker box/wiring, but he also checked the hot water heater/wiring/reset switch to make sure it wasn't the problem. He determined the breaker needed to be replaced. Then he retested everything to make sure it was all running properly. He is excellent at his craft, was courteous and told me what he found, answering any questions I had. I appreciate having a dependable electrician who is reasonably priced in town. Swede Electrical installed a wall heater for us and handled the installation very professionally. He answered the phone, showed up on time, which is more than I can say for the other three goons who are supposed to be the big three in Crescent City. Different than the other electrical contractors, Swede was interested in the history of what we or other people had done when it came to testing a 220 circuit. In contrast, the other three electrical companies appeared to express a strong preference for only working as a sub-contractor under a general contractor and seemed to take an excessively risk avoidance approach after learning that someone tested a circuit. I don't find any of them professional. In the case of Crescent Electric they wouldn't even return our phone calls, even after I personally visited them. And in the case of High Voltage the operator hung up after I indicated we had the circuit tested. Like many we are dependent on contractors because we don't always have time to do the work ourselves, so having someone coming in and doing the job right is important for us. I wouldn't hesitate in a moment to use Swede Electric again for our next project. read more

Sean answered my call late Friday afternoon when I learned that my electrical hook up wasn't up to par for our new spa that was being delivered the following day. Sean Swede is an independent CA licensed electrician. He came by to check out installing a electric vehicle charging station in our garage for our Chevrolet Bolt EV. He reviewed our electrical service and told us that it would be no problem to install the EV charging station so we set a date to do the work around his other jobs. With a small adjustment in the time he showed up and crawled under the house to install the wire from the main electrical panel to the garage. While under there he repaired the dryer exhaust vent. Two hours later we had a legal EV charging station in the garage for the new Chevrolet Bolt EV. Sean is a skilled and affordable electrician for any size project that you might have. Mr. Swede responded immediately to my request for service, and showed up exactly on time. He quickly diagnosed what was wrong with several outlets in my house, and not only repaired the problems but explained what he was doing and why--and showed me the damaged, unsafe units as he did so. Professional, cheerful, and patient, Mr. Swede went above and beyond the call of duty; he acquainted me with many issues of my house's wiring that I was unaware of and explained them to me in detail.
