I've had very poor care here with the OB/GYNs who have medically gaslit me and made me feel very marginalized and dismissed my own health concerns even when lab results indicate abnormality. I don't recommend this clinic at all. read more

The providers are kind and generally spend time to explain any necessary topics. Almost every appointment we have had included a medical student coming in which is fine 1 or 2 times, but gets old and slows down the appointment. As for the front desk and being a few minutes late allows them to turn away patients. Considering they have been late to see us for nearly every appointment and also change appointments last minute which causes total mayhem I find this very unprofessional and annoying. They really need to get this in order - it just shows they are terrible with time management and scheduling. Overall an OK practice, but worth doing research if you have a tight schedule and need more flexibility than the rigidity of this one that has basically little to no flexibility and the patients always get screwed on this problem. read more

This place is worse than going to an urgent care on a weekend. If you want to want to wait an extra 35 minutes on top of the 15 minutes they ask you to come in early, this place might be for you! What's more fun than being asked to come with a full bladder? Waiting 45 minutes in the lobby while the front desk hackle like hyenas. Such good times! Once taken back for US, the sonographer has no bed side manner. They don't care that they've had you wait for 45 mins only to rush you through and not talk. Why not stop the fun there! Do you like getting calls to cancel your appointment every visit? Only to tell you your provider is not available? Yea, not ask fun there. But the kicker is getting a Medical procedure done where the provider doesn't note your chart if a substance used to stop bleeding, and then when it gets discharged you're thinking somethings wrong. They make you come back in only to realize it was something that could have just been charted and avoided an additional visit. This place is a joke and has terrible patient care. This is the second pregnancy I came here for and both ending in miscarriage and never a feeling of being taken care or compassion from the staff or medical providers. read more

Beware! This office/Dr. is not accommodating. This building IS NOT labeled Swedish. Do not go into the Swedish buildings. This one is across the street. I accidentally went to two wrong buildings all on the same block because the others were labeled Swedish. I was 8 minutes late since I got lost and Dr. Dina Gordon refused to see me after I waited on her list for an entire YEAR!!!!!! I also called to get help for directions while lost but was on hold and found the correct building before my call was answered. As a neurodivergent person navigating to new places is a challenge and creates intense anxiety so I try to be early (which I was had I not got lost inside the other two Swedish buildings). Also, the supervisor scolded me for being late, saying "how would you feel if you were another patient and had to wait a few extra minutes?" I would have felt totally fine waiting because I understand that sometimes things don't go as planned and life is hard enough already without emotionally gaslighting people for neurodivergent challenges. Dr. Gordon and the office Supervisor (Kristina Bainter) were not kind nor did they demonstrate patient-forward care/compassion. I tried to find where I was told about this "7 minute late" automatic cancellation policy in my patient information and I couldn't find anything informing me of this policy. I've been receiving my routine OB GYN-related care from this clinic for 12 years at this point. They are great if you: 1. Like having your provider leave every few years, for zero continuity from one annual exam to the next 2. Prefer your provider to ignore the latest best practices from ACOG 3. Enjoy enduring endless hassles and headaches every time you want to refill a prescription 4. Really like waiting on hold, with a voice interrupting the hold music every minute or two to say, "We apologize for the delay. Please continue holding for the next available representative" so that you can't work and be on hold at the same time I've been through I want to say at least 3 different providers in 12 years, the latest of which I only saw twice, and I'll need a new one if I continue with this clinic; I hate this. This clinic also insists on the highest frequency possible of PAP smears and pelvic exams. Routine pelvic exams are no longer recommended by ACOG, and also, I hate them (and really, don't we all?), but getting them to let me do a video call annual exam during the pandemic was like pulling teeth. (It's a PANDEMIC, I do not want to go into a HOSPITAL TOWER unless absolutely necessary, and there was nothing about my needs that made that necessary!) Also, in my circumstances, I only need a PAP smear every 5 years, but they're trying to tell me I need one after only 3 years (nope). As if that wasn't bad enough, I usually end up in frustrated tears every time I need to refill my prescription with these people. They insist the correct way is to have the pharmacy send them a refill request, but I swear to you, not ONCE in TWELVE YEARS has this worked for me. Every time, they call me and leave voicemails wondering if I really intended to refill the prescription (... what?!), and telling me I need to call them back if I want it refilled. Then I play phone tag with them for several days, always with substantial time spent on my part waiting on hold for a receptionist to answer, then they ask some standard questions about whether my health has changed etc. Like, fine, okay, but they never just give me the questions up front--I could answer those in my next call back to them, or via their ONLINE PORTAL (WHY don't they use their online portal for this? Why??? I'm a millenial! I obviously hate talking on the phone! Hello!), but they never do. The last time this happened, they sent the prescription to a pharmacy I hadn't used in years--I wasn't even aware they had that pharmacy on file for me, that's how long it had been--and even though they had two pharmacies on file, they didn't ASK ME which one was correct, AND they ignored the request the correct pharmacy had sent to them (again... Hello?!). That took a LOT of phone calls to resolve and was an utter nightmare, but at least they deleted the incorrect pharmacy from their system, so I figured the next time should go smoothly. Ha. My provider, in her infinite wisdom, decided to give me 9 months of birth control this time, rather than a full year. Then she moved out of state. The clinic again doubted my pharmacy's refill request, left me a mostly-useless voicemail asking me to express my desire for a refill through their online portal instead, then ignored my request through their online portal for several days. I called them today, and after hassling me about how I should have had my pharmacy send them the request (I did), how the nurses should have sent me the questions through the online portal (they did not, and never have), how I should make an appointment with them (it's three months early for that), only THEN did they tell me the prescription could take 7-10 BUSINESS days to process once the nurses actually send me the questions, and I send the answers back. When I explained that I did not have that long, due to an upcoming trip, I was basically told the only way to expedite it would be to schedule an appointment, which 1) seems doubtful, and 2) I do not NEED! I have received no assurances that my request will be handled with any kind of timeliness, or any apology at all--NOTHING. Basically an over-the-phone shrug. I probably will need to contact a Planned Parenthood to actually get my prescription on time, and then I really just need to buckle down and find a new clinic, because this one is a TRUE NIGHTMARE. read more

Dr Fuller is amazing. She makes me feel cared about and she makes me feel like I'm in great hands with my baby and pregnancy!! She doesn't pressure me to make a life decision. Every woman should have an OB like her! I've been a patient here for 5 years and this is my 2nd delivery. Their office is nice and always clean. Except right now they got flooded and having to do construction! Front desk is great and welcoming. Love their lab tech she's super sweet and attentive! Their office manager is awesome. My appointment was at 9am. I arrived at 9:08. I was a new patient and had a little trouble finding the office. I explained that. I apologized. The receptionist said the doctor refused to see me. She said their policy was to allow for a 5 minute grace period for new patients and 10 minutes for established patients. I told them that was asinine. She told me I would need to reschedule. I told her I took the morning off of work, waited 30 minutes on hold, and two months for the appointment and that no I would not be making another appointment. I called the office after I left to obtain the office manager's email address to suggest that their policy be amended to not be so ridged. She refused to give me the email and instead insisted that she was telling her office manager right then and that they would call me back. I have not heard from them. Women's health care is in crisis, and women in general, are in crisis. The last thing we need to be doing is barring women from necessary medical appointments because they were a bit late showing up. We should be making space and TIME for women. Not trying to shove their very real very serious medical issues into 20 minute time slots. Nor should we shame and embarrass them for trying their best to arrive not only on time, but optimistic that their doctor will actually listen to them. Optimistic that they will be treated with respect. I am human. I make mistakes and sometimes I'm late to things. We ALL are. Navigating women's health care is frustrating. We wait for Everything. We wait on hold just to make an appointment. We wait in line to check in and receive forms we've already filled out a dozen times before. They make us wait for our name to be called, which they inevitably screw up. They make us wait in the exam room with the door shut for the nurse to come in and ask us all of the same questions we just answered on their forms. Then they shut the door. And we are left alone, waiting. For the doctor. The doctor that gives us 10 minutes of their time then hands everything else off to the nurse whose already forgotten who we are. If they can't wait a few minutes, why should we have to wait at all? read more

Really great place to go when pregnant or expecting a child with your pregnant partner. The entire staff is very personable and work as a team really well. For months now they have even been operating out of a temp office in a neighboring Swedish facility because their old floor got flooded. They are working great even in a temp space. read more

I met Dr Ingrisano while pregnant with my second child. She is an amazing doctor, especially when it comes to addiction medicine and pregnancy. Unfortunately, many providers do not treat patients with a history of addiction with respect, let alone a pregnant patient with a history of addiction. I was incredibly apprehensive the first time I met her, but she quickly made me feel comfortable and at ease being honest with her. I had a C section with both my children, my first C section was horrible, painful and the recovery was tough. This time around, the experience was so different! I was actually able to hold my daughter while being stitched up. Dr Ingrisano also made sure I had access to more than enough medication during recovery- which helped immensely. read more

Had the absolute best pregnancy, labor and delivery thanks to Swedish OB/GYN providers and labor/delivery nurses. Dr. Hulbert and Dr. Dawkins were my providers for my entire prenatal care journey. They have a team of about 12 doctors so it depends on who's on-call during your birth that determines who will actually deliver your baby. When I got to the hospital to be induced, I saw Dr. Patani overnight and Dr. Lowdermilk delivered my baby the following day. I am so pleased with the amount of knowledge and skilled expertise this group had when it comes to delivery. Dr. Lowdermilk is amazing! I have a whole new level of respect for this group. If you deliver at Swedish First Hill and have a nurse named Jackie, she is a god send. She was with me every step of my labor process and cheering me on. I couldn't have done it without her, hopefully she sees this review. read more

I came here on a friend's recommendation after a number of horrible experiences at a different clinic. I was extremely suspicious and apprehensive because of the awful treatment I'd received from my past doctor and the practice's billing department. I am so glad I went. Dr. Ingrisano is fabulous, and so far I've had nothing but good experiences in this office with the medical assistants and NPs. Dr. Ingrisano is warm, friendly, relaxed. She doesn't intimidate or pressure, she offers options and explanations. It's like talking to a friend who just happens to know more than you do about how your body works. We are expecting our first child thanks to her and I'll be so, so pleased if she ends up being the doc who delivers my baby! The staff are always quick to respond to my messages on MyChart, answer my questions and thoroughly explain to be sure I understand, and treat me like a human being, not just a body with a wallet. Even reception is fantastic and friendly, and I know I've been there on days when they could have used more help! It can sometimes be difficult to get through on the phone, but if you can wait until later, just leave a message-- they almost always get back to you the same day. I've also had nothing but nice experiences with their billing team (somehow my secondary insurance hadn't been billed-- they were very friendly and helpful, and assured me they would take care of my concern). They are very busy, and it can sometimes be tough to schedule appointments exactly when you'd like, but that's because there are so many women who are fortunate enough to have a doc here! I can't say enough good things about Swedish OBGYN. They've been outstanding as a whole and I'm so thrilled to have this team on my side during my first pregnancy. read more

I ended up in tears twice because i came to these people for help considering i just moved here from out of town and they were nothing but rude to me. The staff here is great! Everyone is smiling and friendly and willing to help! I got my IUD placed here and they were quick to assure me by answering all questions, addressing any concerns, and giving me information to make an informed decision. My bf made it to the waiting area after I had already gone into the procedure room but they showed him in after getting my consent. It was nice to be able to have someone with me for the procedure! I was referred here my by naturopathic doctor and they take great care of you! My follow up was just as quick and had the same level of smiling service you would hope for when getting a medical procedure done. So far, no problems with billing either, they collected all information at check in and I haven't been bothered with it since. Thank you! read more

I have been going to Swedish First Hill for about 6 years but these last couple of years I have had terrible experience. Not sure if there has been an administration change or what but their service has been going down the hill. It literally takes at least 30 minutes to make an appointment or speak to the front desk now a days, no matter what time of the day you call. I did an experiment this morning where I came into the office for my appointment, checked in and sat down, noticed they weren't helping anyone else on the phone or in person, so I called to see how long it would take for me to get to the front desk. Sure enough, when I called, it said there was 3 people ahead of me and that my wait time would be 10 minutes, which by the way is never only 10 minutes. That is so unacceptable. Furthermore, I went in to my appointment and in the middle of the nurse assistant checking me in, she was called and told she was needed. She stops the questions she was asking me, quickly takes my blood pressure and tells me she is needed outside and that the Dr. will be in shortly and abruptly leaves my room. I waited in the room, waited in the room and waited in the room and no one came in before I decided to leave. By the time I checked in and by the time I decided to leave it was an hour. This is so unacceptable. If any patient is more than 10 minutes late they would quickly cancel the appointment and reschedule it, yet they would have us wait for an hour like our time is less valuable than theirs. I have had enough of this place and will be looking for a new OBGYN asap. I don't know why no one is doing anything about it when there is so many reviews saying the same thing. Fix your damn administration Swedish! I would add I had an excellent experience with Dr. Lowdermilk, otherwise this place is a lost cause. read more

Rachelle Tomei and Kris RULE!! I was super nervous about walking into their office since 1. I've dealt with tattoo discrimination 2. It's a new office for me and I wasn't sure what to expect after hearing a few awful things about Swedish medical. Kris first came in, asked me routine questions and was super nice and wonderful to work with. Rachelle then came in and was professional while keeping things light and comfortable to be around. She answered all my questions and was guiding me in what she was doing during my exam. Did you know when going to your app exam it's now every three years? It's because studies have proven that the more you go, the more cells get disruptive and cervical cancer grows at a very slow rate. So there's no point in doing every year. Which is great! I hope three years from now I can work with Rachelle and Kris again! read more

Dr. McGuire is a competent, approachable doctor and was an incredibly helpful care provider during my first pregnancy. She answered all questions I had with candor, and helped me understand the pros and cons of different delivery methods. After I had my baby, she helped me understand my options for birth control. Another physician (Dr. Burke) placed my IUD and she was also great! The procedure was fairly painless and she ensured everything was placed correctly and that I had all the info I needed. During my delivery, Dr. Lowdermilk was the doctor on call. Even though I was a little nervous to have a male physician deliver the baby, he was AWESOME! He was very helpful and encouraging and helped me feel able to do what I needed to do. The support staff are all wonderful as well. The only issue is that you can wait for a while if you're trying to schedule an appointment, but that's true of every doctor's office I've ever called. All in all I feel very lucky to have worked with this clinic during my first pregnancy and will continue to go to them for all reproductive healthcare. read more

I have a hard time believing such a busy clinic only has one other review. I saw Rachelle Tomei once and I liked her a lot. My accolades stop there. It's a high-stress environment, so I understand that the front desk staff is busy and they have protocol. When I fell pregnant, I called them to schedule an OB appointment. First off, I got in a huge argument with the front desk lady who kept asking me when my LMP was. As I never had a cycle after having my IUD removed, LMP was more than 2 years ago. Despite all of the other relevant dates I do know, she could not get over this bit of non-normalcy. Once we got over that and agreed on how far along I was, she absolutely would not schedule earlier assessments of viability than her standard protocol of 8-10wks, even with a history of losses, even though when I saw Tomai, PA-C the month before, we discussed it and this was our plan! She actually told me to go see my primary care physician if I felt myself to be high risk like if I had gestational diabetes. Huh? I think the doctors here are good, but the practice is very impersonal. I would go elsewhere if you have unusual circumstances and don't fit "in the box". I certainly am. read more

It also took me over an hour on the phone to schedule first appointment. Overall, would not recommend and will not be returning for care here. First, I had an ultrasound at 2 months gestation that was ordered by this clinic and no one told me that I was pregnant. When I went into this office to establish prenatal care, I was begged to have a medical procedure even though I had questions about it. The doctor said that she is not supposed to tell me to have this surgery but to "please, just have it!" I was told if I had second thoughts about a procedure then they would consider that a breach of trust. I brought one of my children with me who has some severe medical challenges and was eating, the doctor made fun of him for eating crackers. So weird! This was such a strange experience. The medical assistant did not know how to take blood pressure accurately and they admitted me to the hospital, after admission my pressure was completely normal during the entire hospital stay. read more

Horrible patient service. Never received a reminder call for my appointment and when I showed up five minutes late due to weather conditions, they told me I needed to reschedule..... I spent $20 on an Uber and there was no remorse until I broke down and told them this is my fifth time trying to schedule with them. At that point, the back office manager said she could accommodate me, but who wants people to do your "woman yearly check up" when you just had a melt down? It's virtually impossible to see your actual Dr, so just accept to see a nurse practitioner unless you schedule months out and remember to get there early. it's disappointing because the OBGYN's are great, but you can tell the office staff is disorganized. PS if you aren't pregnant you aren't the biggest priority. A lady next to me arrived later than me and they kept her appointment no problem because she was pregnant and her appointment was shorter? It's clear they over stack patients and making money is a priority. Really hoping none of you have to start off your day like I did and this is my first long yelp review... read more

As a 1st time mother I do not feel as though they take the time to review and make sure your comfortable. Tried 2 doctors both spent about 5 mins speaking with me each appt and were often behind schedule or forgot to do specific testing causing me to have to come back days later read more

I was super nervous during my first pregnancy about selecting a doctor and I am so happy with my decision to go to Swedish OB GYN Specialists First Hill. I had Dr Fuller for almost all of my prenatal visits (all but one visit) and she was amazing! She is very helpful and always gives you as much time as you need to answer questions. I ended up needing a procedure before my baby was born that Dr Fuller was not available to do (due to scheduling) and the other ob/gyn I saw in this office was great too. I had had an emergency c-section that Dr Mcguire preformed and she was also amazing. Can't recommend this office enough. All of the medical staff are extremely nice and well educated :) read more
