My husband and I have been patients of Dr Jim's since 2011. As a medical professional I can tell you that I definitely value the knowledge professionalism and compassion of Dr Jim, Dr. Jon and the rest of the staff. The knowledge and expertise that Dr Jim and Dr. Jhn possess as well as the compassion they show their patients is definitely a rarity. As a patient I appreciate how they listen to my symptoms or concerns and devise a personalized plan of treatment. In addition I feel that they provide more options for treatment than your standard chiropractic office. The office staff is amazing as well. I am always greeted with a warm smile, a staff that knows me by name and makes me feel like I'm part of their family. My husband initially saw Dr Jim after a work injury was causing severe neck and arm pain that was making it impossible to work, write or sleep. He was in constant pain and would awake about every 20 minutes in excruciating pain at night from nerve impingment and loss of blood flow to his arms. Within a matter of three weeks of seeing Dr Jim all of his pain issues were completely resolved and he only has to see him for minor acute issues that arise. As for myself, I have suffered from chronic back hip and leg pain since the age of 12. I have seen other chiropractors, worn special shoes, orthotics, and have taken medications. All of which provided some relief though not much. I am not one to take pain medications and had started taking anti-inflammatories and receiving an occasional steroid injection pretty routinely. (Neither of which are good for long-term use) in 2011 I came to Dr Jim out of an emergency situation. My husband called Dr Jim and he worked me in. It was found that I had a nearly blown disk that if left to go longer would've required surgery. I do not like to go to any Doctor. However, I was in a lot of pain. I had prayed that the Lord would lead me to the right Doctor and I believe He did. I found Sweeney Chiropractic on the internet. I called and talk to Sarah, she got me an appointment the same day. When I first met Doctor Jonathan Sweeney he listened to what was going on with me. I had numbness in the right side of my face and some slurred speech , the right side of my neck felt like I had a crick in it pain ran down my shoulder all the way down into my right arm. Dr. Sweeney showed me a poster with the nerve path that might be causing my problems. However, we did talk about ruling out other conditions like stroke. So the following day I set up an appointment with my medical Doctor to have an MRI to rule out anything other than a pinched nerve. The test were negative. So, I have continued to see Doctor Jonathan Sweeney and the pinched nerve is so much better , I can move my neck and arm , numbness in my face is gone. I believe in Chiropractic care. Medical Doctors are very important and necessary but some want to give you a pill for everything. When I first came to see Dr. Jim Sweeney I was a complete wreck. I had thrown out my low back on a Saturday and it was one of the worst flares I have ever experienced. It was so bad that I thought I had blown a disc and that my only option for relief was going to be surgery. I was able to make an appointment with Dr. Jim for the following Monday morning. He and his office staff were very welcoming and friendly as I hobbled in the door. After a thorough history, physical exam, and x-rays, we found out I had not blown a disc (whew!!); I just needed some aggressive therapy. During the appointment, Dr. Jim stated that he would have me back to normal by the end of the week. To say I was skeptical of his prognosis is a huge understatement. However, he did not disappoint; and, in fact, he over-delivered. By the time Wednesday/Thursday rolled around the only complaint that remained was some soreness, which quickly resolved as well. While my case will not be typical for other patients, I have every confidence that Dr. Jim develops treatment plans that are realistic for his patients; which includes not scamming them by saying you need to come in three times per week for six months. I have been completely blown away by the care and customer service I receive at Sweeney Chiropractic. Before seeing Dr. Jim, I first tried to go to a well known chiropractic franchise, and this did nothing for my lower back pain and sciatica. The experience made me scared and skeptical of adjustments. I could not have had a more opposite or more positive experience with Dr. Jim. He has helped treat my migraines, lower back flare ups, and sciatica, and after treatment, the pain goes away overnight--if not instantly. He has completely changed my impression of chiropractic care. His treatment plans are so thorough and all-encompassing. I do decompression, dry needling, electro therapy beds, and adjustments when I'm there. He does it all! I can't imagine my life without these treatments now. I started seeing Dr. Jon after I had my baby girl. As a new mom I am constantly straining my muscles, mostly my back, in ways I never have before and it got to the point that I couldn't bend over to put my girl in her crib without jerking and making her cry because my back hurt so bad. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Dr. Jon could help not only my back, but the tension in my shoulders and most surprisingly, my tendonitis in my hands. I was wearing a wrist brace during my first appointment and he offered to take a look at my hand and ever since I have not had to wear the brace! This is huge for me because it made it hard to do things like change diapers and it was scratchy so I was always afraid it would hurt my girl. My regular doctor had said there was nothing to do for it but surgery or just wear the brace constantly...thankfully he was wrong. If you aren't sure about chiropractic care, give these guys a try. I've been in the service industry for almost 12 years and my back had been hurting so bad I couldn't ignore it any longer. This isn't the first chiropractic clinic I've been to, especially here in Nashville, and I've realized that the one thing I won't deal with anymore is the nickel and dime-ing so many chiropractors throw at you. Seriously, I want to get better. I want to feel better! But I don't wanna go broke because you want to charge an additional fee for a therapy that doesn't really seem to do me any good. Dr's Jim and Jon Sweeney are the best in the business. I have been going there for regular maint for years but recently I was in a car accident and severely hurt my back and neck. I was treated right away, every day, with care and compassion. They were super flexible in my schedule as I had to change appointment times and such but still made time to see me even coming back from their lunch break a few minutes early or staying a few minutes late. The ladies at the front desk are super awesome as well and always so nice. You know they love what they do when they take care of each patient as if they were the only ones in the clinic. Could not be any happier with the treatment, service, and cost of Sweeney Chiro. I had an out of nowhere back issue that had me pretty much laid up and out of commission the day before I had to leave town. I just showed up as a walk-in, the doc saw me quickly, diagnosed a pinched nerve immediately, gave me some therapy and an adjustment and had me back up and moving in 30 minutes. He is extremely knowledgeable, personable and he did exactly what needed to be done to get me back up and feeling great without trying to upsell me into a million treatment sessions (which I've had happen at many other chiropractic clinics). I visited Dr. Jon weekly while I was training for my first marathon in April. In January, I started having lower back pain and was worried I would have to put training on hold long term. I made an appointment for Sweeney chiropractic the very next day. Jon took his time doing X-rays and talking with me to figure out what the root cause was. I went to see Dr Jim for some tingling pain in my right leg. Dr Jim took some X-rays and instantly saw the problem. He discussed what was happening and what his suggestion was for how to treat the injury. I went twice a week for around a month and am now experiencing no pain whatsoever.
