Dr. Grande is one of the kind humans you will be glad to know in Nashville. No appointment needed. Heres my own experience: I had a compound time bomb of a back injury render myself completely immobile one day. It took me three weeks of enduring an electrocution type of pain before i was able to stand & move at all, glued to a walking stick with a top speed of 1.5 mph. I needed a doctor. I went to get my xrays done and it was clear that my back was in serious disorder, but the cost kept me from that option, so i decided to go with simple adjustments and bought an inversion table to do my own decompressions. On my first visit, i hobbled into his office in pain and walked out feeling amazing. I knew i was onto something. After 3 months of visits, i had regained what i would call, "functional mobility" and bo longer needed the walking stick. 8 months later, i am kayaking & hiking again. A year later and I'm hiking twice a week now up to 6 miles and kayaking twice a week with zero signs of discomfort and am confident in taking on longer hikes and stronger river runs again. Now I'm learning to dance... Sticking with even a light schedule of monthly visits with Dr. Grande has been the smartest health decision I've made in a decade. I gave the Spine Shop a 5-star review, based on my husband's experience. But, I had to come back and give him another 5-star review on my behalf, a skeptic who was super hesitant. I'd never been to a chiropractor before and couldn't understand how it could alleviate pain - but, for the last 4 days I've had a headache I can't shake. Usually, I just get a $60 - $100 massage and it helps. This time, my husband asked me to give this a try. I agreed, because I wasn't able to get an appointment with a masseuse. Now, I will sing the raises of the Spine Shop forever. After just a few minutes, the doctor cracked parts of my back, neck and shoulders I'd never felt cracked before. I told him this was my first time and I was hesitant and he did a great job explaining to me what was happening before he did it and checked in with me to make sure I was comfortable, throughout the process. If you're at all nervous, this is the place to go. When we were done with this unscheduled, walk in appointment, I immediately felt more relaxed. I can't say my headache went away, immediately. But, within an hour or two, it was gone. And it didn't come back. This place is great - walk-in style, open on weekends, incredibly convenient, and superb technique. His adjustment style is not aggressive but is very detail-oriented, gentle, effective, and efficient. I came in with low back pain and left feeling much more mobile and aligned. I'll definitely be back! Not all chiropractors are created equal - he definitely has a deep understanding of chiropractic practice and care for patients, which is evident. I walked in on my lunch break and told Vince about my intense neck pain I woke up with and the migraine I'd had for nearly two days. He quickly had me fill out intake forms and sign a waiver (those are important). On the forms I noted that I had consistent back pain and neck pain. He took me around the corner to the small but super tidy space, and the adjustment took only a few minutes. He adjusted an area in my back that I had not been able to crack or get relief from for several months, probably even a year. I walked out in tears because I felt like a HUGE weight had been lifted from my body - literally. I feel lighter, taller, happier, even. I had been holding so much tension in my back, especially my lower back, and when he adjusted it - energy flowed back to areas of my arms and legs that I'd forgotten ever existed. The Spine Shop is tucked away in East Side Station off Woodland. It's pretty easy to find if you follow the signs inside. Once inside the station it's located directly across from a children's dance studio. This created a bit of an awkward experience since there were toddlers crying and parents all over the halls. The shop is very small - a micro store. The chiropractor was kind and listened to my concerns. However, I was a bit disappointed when he stated he could not do much to help my specific concerns with my neck. He could only offer me a basic adjustment. He explained that their low prices are meant to help people come in for a regular and basic adjustment. My adjustment was fine. He popped and cracked all of the usual spots. I totally understand and support the benefit of regular adjustments. Perhaps my case was too complex for him and I needed to see a different specialist. I guess part of my three star review is that I am not sure. I was essentially told that this chiropractic shop may not be the best fit for me but I wasn't given much more guidance after that. If you want affordable, quick, and regular adjustments - The Spine Shop is great. If you have specific concerns or any complications I would reccomend something else - I'm just not sure what. read more

Vince has been my only Chriopractor I've ever visited, and my results have been fantastic and incredibly appreciated! Primarily, chiropractors always seemed just slightly intimidating to me - I'm more "suck it up" than "hit the clinic" mentality and couldn't figure out if I should be looking at medical insurance or needed hours off to visit and calling ahead and fitting into life schedule seemed a little pain as well. Finally, my lower back hurt so bad I was up at night. Then I found Vince - he had hours until late in the day, hours on Saturday, no appointment and a flat clear fee. Everything transparent - I could handle that! He asked if I'd ever been adjusted before, when I said no, he just talked me through efficiently, making sure I was okay with his next move when he'd explain it, and telling me which areas we were targeting. When I got off the table I became a believer - drink water, he advised...and it's been now six months without that lower back pain. I return for adjustments since I'm running heavily now and am aware I have a leg slightly longer - it really does work for me, and that feeling like I did something good for myself and didn't just ignore pain is kind of a "happy adult moment". I've been using chiropractic treatment for my back for many years. Quite regularly the past few years. I stumbled across Vince at the Spine Shop recently after visiting an acupuncturist in the same building. No appointment needed. Just walk in. Which I thought was great since I'm always very busy and he only charges a flat fee of $20.00 a visit. (no Insurance necessary) That's half the cost of my normal insurance co pay. In comparison to other places I've been treated I will say Vince has a great technique. After a few visits my back is feeling MUCH better! I'm so glad I ran across this place. I have been going to The Spine Shop for the past four years after a friends recommended it to me. I go fairly regularly although it's not unusual for me to go 6 weeks between visits. Last Sunday, I woke up with some discomfort in my shoulder and neck. By late morning I had decided I need an adjustment and, since it was a Sunday, there were a very limited number of chiropractors open. I have seen many different chiropractors in the past and was very pleased with Dr. Grande's care and technique. I've never been quite comfortable with direct manipulation of the neck, and always saw a chiropractor who used the activator method for this reason, but Dr. Grande was very gentle and didn't cause me to tense up at all. He gave me a full body adjustment and got places I'd never had adjusted before, like the shoulders. Also, I had more audible "cracks" than I can ever remember. This is an excellent place to get a really good adjustment. It's a small shop just a front desk and an adjustment table but don't let that turn you away. Vince is fantastic! I use to work at a chiropractic office that was essentially an assembly line getting as many patients in and out as possible with quick adjustments and not much personal time taken to get to know and throughly treat them. Vince takes time to get to know you and what you need in an adjustment. Spine alignment is important for full body health and you will get that opportunity to start that process here. $20 per visit or there are package deals you can get.
