A treatment that does not have high quality evidence of effectiveness and is not covered by insurance. Moreover, the adjustment that I had left my back and neck in more pain than when I went in. I really can't say enough about how great Dr. Myles is! I was a skeptic, I'll admit it. I went to a chiropractor when I was younger after a running injury and it didn't work out that well for me, so I was always afraid to try it again. I am so glad I did. I'm pregnant with my second child and this particular pregnancy has been very difficult with back pain and sciatica issues. Being in the tail end of my pregnancy and not being able to sit, stand or walk, let alone chase and care for one rambunctious toddler, I knew I needed to do something and do it NOW. My body was in no shape for the natural birth that I plan for. A friend of mine recommended me to Dr. Myles, they got me in the day that I called. They even allowed me to bring my son for my follow up the next morning. Lesson learned. I don't see how pregnant women aren't getting adjustments on a regular basis while pregnant. It just makes sense. People with back issues, like myself need to do the same. I've done enough physical therapy and acupuncture and yes it helps, but not like an adjustment. All 3 of these combined is the ONLY way that I can see myself go back into a full recovery. I miss being able to workout and my back not going out every 3 months. One true test of professionalism in business is how you treat someone when you realize there's little chance of them continuing to be a paying customer. I found that Power Chiropractic was out of network for my insurance provider, meaning my deductible for the year for treatments would be substantially higher than in-network (note - the rates even for those without insurance were quite reasonable). I called and asked if the office could help with putting my x-rays on CD so that I could take them with me to a new chiropractic appointment - this was completed by the helpful front office staff that same morning.
