My son is 23 months and HATES haircuts. He throws a full on tantrum every time we attempt to get his hair cut, which means flailing, screaming, crying, spitting, swatting... just a complete scene (and often a failed attempt, which results in us having to leave the salon without more than 2-3 crooked snips on his bangs and a super stressed out stylist). We decided to give Sweet & Sassy a try given their expertise in kids haircuts, and we are so happy we did! Katrina G is AMAZING with toddlers. She was super calm, took a moment to get down on the ground and talk to my son when he was freaking out, and managed to give him an incredible haircut through the tantrum -- the best haircut he has ever had! Her sense of calm helped me stay calm, too, which cannot go overlooked. When the haircut was over, our son proudly showed it off (as if he didn't just cause a complete scene for the past 20 minutes...haha). My daughters 8 and 6 love, love, love sweet and sassy! It's the perfect environment for my young daughters to feel pampered and special! The staff caters to whatever they need and go the extra mile to make my daughters feel special! They have great party packages, and tons of little extras you can do with your girls to pamper them and make them feel like little princesses. I will also say that previously going to other hair salons hair tech's aren't the best at figuring out a good style or cut for a child. At sweet and sassy their hair tech's have great input and ideas which is great for a mom who has a hard time with her own hair! I would 100% recommend sweet and sassy to any parent who wants a professional hair stylist and the added bonous of the glitz and glamour every girl wants! You don't need appointments but I'd make one and it's not super expensive it's affordable and seeing how special my girls feel while we are there and when we leave is priceless! I went to Sweet & Sassy with my son, 3 y.o. and my daughter , 5 y.o. . When I went last time for a haircut with my son we went to a different salon - he hated it there, cried and screamed , probably because it wasn't really a kids place. This time he enjoyed the kid friendly atmosphere , the staff which is trained for even very small kids . He was so happy to get after the yummy lollipop and I am happy for him having a nice haircut. My daughter didn't need to get smth done, but she was so fascinated by this place that she begged me to do smth with her hair, too. So she got a braid and a glitter application on her face. Kayla and Jaelyn (I hope I'm spelling names correctly) were very attentive to our 6 yr old daughter getting her ears pierced. Our daughter was a little scared, but they made her feel comfortable and happy. Also, they were super friendly, including her older brother in on the fun! (What a thoughtful suggestion that really put the experience above and beyond!) They asked if he wanted to also walk the runway at the end and take a pic together (which was sooo cute!) I had an appointment with Christina for my 16 month old son. He went to Sweet and Sassy for his first two haircuts. After a horrible experience at a different store, I was excited to go back to Sweet and Sassy for his fourth haircut. My son was probably the worst client (screaming, crying, squirming) and yet Christina did an AMAZING job on his haircut! She was able to cut around the ears, blend the layers and clean up the back. My son is very sensitive to people and sound so we went sat morning we saw Sarah she was so sweet and amazing to him. I love that she treated him like a person and not just a haircut and I brought up sensory night and the hairdresser next to her was sweet not sure what her name was though brought up the dates for me on her phone which was nice. Kayla used to do a really good job giving my 2 year old son a haircut. He gets very upset and it is hard to keep him still but she did a haircut in about 5 min that looked great. I asked for another stylist who was good with toddlers who don't like haircuts and he got the worst cut of his life that took over 30 minutes and was all choppy. She was clearly inexperienced and didn't have any repore. It was AWFUL!!!!! read more

I love this place but since they deal with kids and a good portion of kids can't be vaccinated yet for COVID 19 I feel like as a courtesy they should wear masks while working on this unvaccinated population! Even though it is better now that 5-11 can get the vaccine when we went several months ago before 5-11 year olds were approved they still didn't have their masks on. do they even care about their customers??? read more

We have always loved sweet and sassy, but we were nervous to go during the pandemic. My daughter has been begging to go so we got her a diva makeover package for her birthday. We had a fantastic experience. Everything felt very safe and clean. She had Karen as her stylist and absolutely loved her. She keeps telling me that she wants to go back to see Karen soon. The girls who pierced my daughters ears were great! The girl who was with us the whole time was awesome, really took her time to be sure that the marks were even, and made sure my daughter felt comfortable the entire time we were there. The staff was great with all the kids, smiling and up beat all the time, did everything to keep the girls engaged.. The Limo drive was great!!! We love Neely! She is great with kids - especially tough kids who have fears of haircuts!!! She also does an amazing, cool, cut on little boys (we have three 6 year olds) and take direction like a pro. Highly recommend. The staff was amazing and patient. My daughter was anxious about getting her ears pierced but the girls were so patient and sweet. They talked through every step and let her take a break until she was ready to go. They were thorough in making sure the holes were even.
