They started wheeling in the tray with all of the tools and equipment to drill and fill them, but I've never had any discomfort in those teeth. I protested that I'd like to wait, and make an appointment to come back to fill the cavities for another date. When I went to another dentist for a second opinion, they took X-rays and could find no evidence of any cavities in any of those teeth-- just deep-grooved molars. The second dentist told me that the technology used in Sheedy's office often mistakes deep-grooved molars for cavities. Everyone in this office is very nice, but leaving this practice saved me a lot of money and pain as I was able to get the supposed "cavities" correctly identified for what they actually were. I haven't needed a filling at all since I left!

During my first visit, I had a tooth extracted, but I wasn't prescribed antibiotics until two or three days later--and only after I called them. Their customer service is poor, and the way they treat patients leaves much to be desired. On the day of the extraction, I had originally gone in for a cleaning and paid for it, but at the last minute, I changed my mind and opted to have the tooth pulled instead. They never performed the deep cleaning, and even though I paid sixty-odd dollars, they kept the money. Despite this issue, I returned in 2026 to get some fillings; they worked on the wrong tooth, and today they caused me to lose a day of work--time I had specifically requested off. I sat in the dentist's chair for an hour, waiting for someone to explain what procedure they were going to perform. They had me sign for the insurance payment (which they certainly collect), but they didn't do the work because, supposedly, time had run out and I needed to be rescheduled. My options were either to stay and risk a botched job due to the lack of time--risking damage to my tooth from rushed work--or to leave in frustration. What would you have done? Experiencing discrimination firsthand is deeply unsettling. Because of my language barrier (which I am currently working to overcome), the doctor twists your words, claiming to have provided information they never actually gave; ultimately, it becomes a case of your word against theirs. Let me tell you: Advanced Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry LLC is terrible. They lack good customer service, and they are disrespectful, discriminatory, and demeaning.

From my very first phone call to the office, I felt cared for. Kelly answered my call, listened to everything I was going through, and managed to get me in for an emergency appointment within a few hours!!! Dr. McKenna was absolutely wonderful. He truly listened, explained every step clearly, and made me feel comfortable the entire time. His assistant (I feel so awful forgetting her name!) was just as amazing. So kind, gentle, and reassuring. You can really tell how well the whole team works together. Before starting the root canal treatment, Dr. McKenna explained every step and made sure I was fully numb, something my last dentist didn't even bother with, even though my filling was deep. Dr. McKenna fixed the poor filling from that previous dental office and discovered bacteria under the tooth that was causing my pain. My previous dentist had insisted nothing was wrong and left me to deal with on and off pain and no antibiotics for months!! I then went to another practice, as the pain became excruciating, same thing and said I had to wait at least until the end of the week until next months schedule opens for root canals. However, Dr. McKenna found the real issue right away and treated it properly. While explaining the X-rays and what they show. I'm still healing, but I already feel so much better and finally heard. I can't thank Dr. McKenna and his team enough. They've earned a new lifelong patient! I couldn't breathe I was all numbed up and couldn't feel a thing the assisitant was spraying water in my mouth and I couldn't swallow or breathe and I tried to let them know but shaking my hands but nothing. Soo I had get them away as nice as possible so I could breath. Then he demanded an apology and he said he would leave room and I could go home with holes in my teeth. Jj you do a great job dealing with distressed patients. Maybe don't take out your anger from your home life onto your patients .

I would definetly not recommend a business that I feel black mails you into treatment you decide not to do for whatever reason. They are your teeth.

I had it fixed tonight, which was my first ever filling, and I had a very positive experience! The dentist was very friendly and calmed my nerves. They numbed me with a minty cotton swab and I didn't even feel the Novocain shot. They made sure I was fully numb before beginning the procedure. After that, the cavity filling process was fast and I didn't feel a thing. No discomfort and definitely no pain. The dentist checked in on me throughout the procedure to make sure I wasn't uncomfortable. Hoping I don't get another cavity, but if I do, I'll be coming back here!

He was good with making conversation and was so focused and dedicated to his work, but when I asked if they had the wifi password, he legit was like "yeah, but it's very long and they have it downstairs so" then proceeded to do his work. Cool, thanks. I ended up using my phone data to watch youtube videos while he did his thing. He was kind enough to take a picture of my tattoo on my phone, ignored me when I asked for one with me actually in it and not just my arm. Maybe he just didn't hear me.
