He hates having his hair done (due to not understanding) and usually ends up leaving with areas unfinished because he has been so distressed (and we don't give up easily!). Anyway we left with perfect hair. The best cut he's ever had with minimal fuss from him. I would highly recommend Lucky both from a technical and patience's perspective. She is the only person who will be doing his hair again. Thank you!

We went to…read moreRichelle, and after his haircut I noticed multiple red marks and significant irritation all across the back of his neck and around his hairline. I've included a photo because I feel the condition his neck was left in speaks for itself. I understand that minor irritation can occasionally happen during a haircut, especially with clippers, but this amount of redness and marking on a child is not acceptable to me. I trusted that my son would be handled gently and carefully, and seeing his neck like this afterward was extremely concerning. I'm disappointed that we left a children's salon with his skin looking this irritated. When a business specifically caters to children, I expect extra care to be taken with their sensitive skin and comfort. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable having Richelle cut my son's hair again. I hope management takes this seriously and makes sure additional care is taken so another child doesn't leave with their neck looking like this.

We love this salon! My son is now four and we have been coming here since he was one. We haven't…read moregone anywhere else because we simply don't want to- they check all of the boxes for comfort, efficiency, friendliness and catering to his sensory sensitivities. I love that they offer Bluey on the individual TVs (my son's favorite) and lollipops for distraction. We never feel rushed but they are quite prompt and easy. Shauna used to do his hair and with scheduling differences, Stephanie took over and we have been very pleased and impressed. She does such a great job and listens to what we want. She pays attention to detail and her lines are always straight. Not to mention, she is amazing at blending the textured and thick hair. Thank you always for the great service!! We love you Ms. Stephanie!

We decided to take our 1-year-9-month-old son to Snip-its for his very first haircut. We…read morespecifically chose it because it's marketed as a kid-focused haircut experience. When we walked in, it absolutely delivered on the kid vibe. Toys everywhere, colorful decorations, kid-themed everything. So far, so good. Then we noticed there was a wait. No big deal. As we're waiting, I look over and see what looked like an 11- or 12-year-old getting a haircut. Fair enough. Then I scan the room a little more... And there, sitting in a race car haircut chair designed for children, was a fully grown man. I'm talking mortgage-paying, tax-filing, probably-has-a-401(k) grown man. At that exact moment, the entire experience became unintentionally hilarious. Here we are, excited and emotional about our toddler's first haircut milestone, while Randy from Accounting is getting a fade next to the bubble machine. Maybe it's just me, but I genuinely didn't realize there was no age limit. The place seemed clean, friendly, and definitely kid-oriented. But the vibe got a little weird once I realized our son was waiting behind adults for an appointment at what I thought was a children's haircut place. We trusted our gut, laughed about it, and decided to leave. No hard feelings. I'm just still trying to process the fact that my son's first barber-shop memory almost involved sitting behind a 35-year-old man getting a trim under a giant cartoon giraffe.

Due to…read moremy delayed review I've now forgotten our stylists name but want say she is what made our experience so perfect. The name Madison keeps coming to mind so for now let's reference her as such until I can confirm when booking his next cut. My little dude got his first haircut here. Madison was professional, patient and went above and beyond. My son loved her and did great, he did sit still as the name implies thanks to their processes in place aimed at achieving this goal so you can cut a child's hair. The car chair and iPad kept my son distracted as she worked her pro magic and good with kids vibes. He was so happy and the cut looks great. The shop itself is bright and colorful and screams kid, which also made me happy haha. The salon is perfect for first time cuts as well as recurring and I saw both, and all happy faces. At the end, Madison put a locket of his hair in a little bag enclosed in a windowed shiny bag with toys and a dated certificate with his picture for keepsake. What a lovely touch that sealed the this was perfect to me. Thanks and we'll be back in soon!

It's also a great spot to entertain and tire out the kids! Lol There's even a Ferris wheel, but it was way too hot for us to ride. We also found a photo booth near the restrooms ($8), which was a fun little bonus. It's conveniently located near OdySea, Topgolf, and Talking Stick, and it's super easy to get to from the freeway. If you're visiting during the summer, I'd recommend saving the outdoor walking for the cooler months and spending the hotter afternoons indoors at OdySea.

1 Star - Dangerous and disappointing experience on the Big Wheel…read more I rode the Boardwalk Big Wheel at Arizona Boardwalk today with my two young boys, ages 2 and 4. The experience was honestly terrible and, more importantly, felt unsafe. It was 105°F outside, and we were placed in the orange #15 gondola. The gondolas are primarily enclosed by glass and have no effective air conditioning. The AC in ours was clearly broken and was blowing hot air instead of cooling the cabin. Within minutes, all three of us were drenched in sweat and the heat inside was becoming extremely uncomfortable. The biggest issue was that the attendant locked us inside the gondola despite the extreme heat. We waved at her to let us out, but she didn't. We went around the entire wheel and, when we came back around, we waved again. She saw us, but still didn't open the door. I ultimately had to yell and knock on the glass to get her attention before she finally let us out after the second trip around. When we got off, I explained what had happened to the attendant. Her response was essentially an unenthusiastic, unapologetic "sorry." There was no concern about whether my children or I were okay, no offer to move us to a functioning gondola, and no refund or other attempt to make the situation right. I paid $22.71 for the ride, but the money isn't really the issue. What concerns me is putting young children into an enclosed, extremely hot gondola with a malfunctioning cooling system and then failing to respond when the passengers are clearly asking to get out. I would strongly recommend that Arizona Boardwalk inspect and properly maintain these gondolas and, more importantly, make sure attendants respond immediately when passengers are signaling that they need to exit. I would not recommend riding the Boardwalk Big Wheel, particularly with young children in extreme heat.
