There's honestly a little trepidation in giving this review because I LOVE coming to Tsophia at Juut salon more than I've ever loved paying a beautician in my life. I have big, naturally curly hair and most beauticians are terrified to cut it , much less try to blend colors. Every time I've ever had my hair done I have to go home and style it myself because I wanted to utilize my curls and I never had a beautician that truly knew how to style it curly. In the past, I would do my hair and go out for the day or evening, but if someone touched it, ran their fingers through it, my gut would sink because I would turn into a big frizzy head. But Tsophia has given me such an amazing cut, color, and changed my products to what my hair needed. People can touch it all day long and I'm proud of it. I can already predict their response: the salon believes I've cancelled late 4 times in the past year. Three of those are false statements. Once, when I overslept, I missed the appointment; they didn't charge, which I thought was a courtesy for 7 years of loyalty. But they refused to answer the phone yesterday, so I sent a text and finally heard back this morning. They want to charge me 50% of services for that one, and this one, and claim there are two more...possibly one that I rescheduled proactively due to surgery and another for travel. I honestly don't know. They're also claiming they require a debit or credit card on file, which they haven't done in years. I love the stylists and colorists. They're amazing. But if you have any kind of life challenges that require last minute changes, this salon will charge you, instead of themselves, for their failure to answer the phone 24 hours prior to your appointment. read more

Sometimes you meet people who change you for the better. These people are called magical stylists. Juut employs a slew of unicorn stylists. If I had to spend hours anywhere, it would be here so I get to be pampered and leave feeling drop dead gorgeous. After losing two stylists to Dallas and one bad experience, I was on the hunt for someone to manage my crown. I'm SOLD. Forever customer for life! Nice to see a salon still taking Covid precautions. Stations are spaciously spaced apart, staff wearing masks diligently, and business being health conscience. I felt at ease coming in for services. One of the nicest things I noticed is that all their marketing features actual clients as pieces of art scattered throughout the salons. Love love love. Can't say enough. My stylist is aahhmazing!!! I love love love her. She is my secret and such a style icon herself. Wonderful master with the scissors and perfectionist on the color. I also noticed the other stylists are just as experienced and talented so you won't fail with any of them. Front staff is friendly and personable. They offer texting for appointment set up and ease. Prices are reasonable and in line especially for Scottsdale. Parking is easy and always welcoming calm when you sit in the lobby waiting. They carry Aveda and everything smells heavenly. The three stars is not for this experience or any other experiences from the one manager, but it goes out to the hairdressers and other people that I experienced. After you read this though- you will know that nobody liked me at the salon. why was I such a fool to keep patronizing s place that shared with me today their real feelings. I do not know where to begin. I am in the twilight zone on this one at this point and so this is why I decided to write this review. First of all, I love Aveeda products. My hairdresser Whitney colored my hair wonderfully and so did her back up gal El. I would recommend them to anyone. Unfortunately, I am not welcomed at the salon anymore. I finally made the mistake of sharing my disappointment in how I was treated by one of the managers(do not want to say the name since it is negative) and it did not go very well. The manager accused me of being hostile. I was not hostile. I am animated. I am passionate. I was in shock! I am from Chicago! I am Italian! I tried to lighten the conversation with all my excuses and even explained that I was not hostile. It is a long story and there are always two sides to a story and then the real truth of what really happened after the emotions are removed so I wanted to make it better. I wanted to be a part of the solution rather than the problem. I decided to go in the salon an hour after this happened. I felt so bad that it got so escalated. Life is too short and too fragile. Supposedly I have annoyed the front desk in the past which I had no clue of. I thought everything was copacetic. I now know that my questions as a consumer were not welcomed, but to treat me less than human was unkind to say the least. The manager would not accept my attempt to clear the air. . I walked in with a box of cookies and I felt very uncomfortable and nervous, but I felt it to be the right thing to do, because life is hard enough and I wanted to make it better if I could. This could have been a learning experience for all of us. All we had to do was talk about it and move forward, but it was not accepted. It was clear to me that this manager shared the sentiments of all parties and I was not welcomed anymore. I went directly up to the manager and put out my hand out and asked if we could start the reset button and both move forward from this. The manager would not accept the cookies and does not like to shake hands so I said ok, but can we move on from this and take it as a learning experience? All the manager could do was keep saying how awful I was. He would not acknowledge anything more, but said we could all discuss it tomorrow with the higher manager as of I was on trial here or something. l am a 63 years old woman and I thought I was going to a place to get my hair done that liked me, but instead the manager said some things to me that made me realize I should not go there anymore. I am sure they do not want me there neither. What happened? Was I profiles? Was I discriminated? Did I not dress well enough or wear the right jewelry?I felt like I was kicked to the curb. Take this information for what it's worth. I really thought the people that did my hair and managed the place liked me and appreciated me, but they really never did or we could have gotten pass this. How pathetic of me to think they really cared. Like I said- we were all right and all wrong at different parts of all of it, but they chose to not accept my candidness and wanting to move forward from there. I was there every 3-6 weeks for a color at 100.00 a color plus a 20.00 tip. I feel taken. So sad. I love Aveeda products and I cannot travel to where any of the others are. The saddest was that I really thought my hairdressers at least liked me. How could I have been such a fool spending all that money going to a place that really never liked me, but pretended to? And that in this very unkind world that the manager refused to accept my gesture to reset and move forward read more

I followed her from another Aveda salon to Juut, a bit further away but I will make the drive every time for her. From the moment you sit in her chair until you leave, she takes amazing care of you. The added touches starting with a neck and shoulder massage to help relax to the hand massage while I wait for the toner, really makes me feel fantastic. Her cut and color techniques work wonders on my thick, coarse hair. Her suggestions are on point, I listen when she says I need layers! I took a chance with booking a haircut/color with Becky & I'm so glad I did, as her skill level & professionalism was impressive. We chatted while my hair processed & although she's new in AZ, she has actually been with Aveda for most of her 20+ year career : Alaska, Montana & now in AZ. What I didn't realize is that she also teaches for Aveda, which made me feel even better about taking a chance with the AZ newbie. This past Saturday was my first time at a Juut Salon. I called about a week or so beforehand to make my appointment and I booked with Kaitlin. Upon arrival I filled out a waiver, had my temperature taken, used some hand sanitizer and sat well over 6 feet away from the other clients while I waited. Shortly after signing in, Kaitlin brought me to her station where I showed her some images of what I wanted for my hair. I wanted to be blonde without all of the upkeep and she nailed it. This is my first time at Juut and I was in desperate need of a hair treatment because of months of lockdown. Booking the appointment was a breeze and I appreciated how the receptionist recommended the right hair dresser for my needs. Upon arrival, the receptionist took my temperature and asked me to sanitize my hands and fill out a COVID-19 waiver. Although it's a hassle, I appreciate that they were taking the safety precautions seriously! It only took 5 minutes anyway. My hairdresser Whitney was very personable and listened to my concerns. They also spaced out the seats so I was at least 6 ft away from the next patron. I saw that she also sanitized the wash station seat after I left immediately. Another job well done there! I am very happy with the result especially the stringent safety precautions that they are taking. It might seem strict but in my opinion, it's necessary to keep everyone safe during this time. My hair looks renewed in just one hour. After the session, Whitney also recommended some products to use. Because it was my first visit, they gave me a 20% discount and a welcome gift bag. She was conscientious, patient, and took the time to understand the look I was going for. She also provided a perspective on it and didn't just go along blindly with anything I asked. Definitely a five star experience at Juut Salonspa. I stopped by the other day to see if I could get a walk-in but had to make an appointment instead. I arrived and was greeted warmly and checked in. They offered water or tea but I declined. I waited for my stylist, Whitney, and she guided me back to her chair. I came at a good time because it wasn't busy. I told her what I was thinking and she was receptive and engaged with my ideas. Whitney was lovely and she kept up the right level of conversation. She started off with a scalp and shoulder massage which was really nice. She washed my hair, cut it and styled it with the appropriate hair products and tools and I was happy with the result. I appreciate how their products are natural and that they celebrate Earth month by partnering with charities. The price was affordable (didn't hurt that I had a promotional card) and I felt it was worth my time and money to come here. I don't visit the salon often but I would come back here and try to refer friends. Great customer service and ambiance! read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I have been going to this salon for almost 4 years, back when it was Mood swings. As soon as it switched to Juut everything changed. My last TWO appointments, I came in and they didn't have pink color last month so I had to miss an event and come back the next day, I was in tears because I needed my hair done for a special occasion. I had to come back the next day to the Mill location. Tonight I had an appointment at the Scottsdale location with Carolyn. I even brought my own pink color to avoid any drama because I have a very important meeting tomorrow and needed my hair to look good. I admit I was 5 minutes late, however as soon as I sat down in the chair, I was told that my hair was so messed up that I needed a 300$ color correction. EXCUSE ME? So your salon has done my hair for years, messed it up, so now I have to pay you all to fix your mess up?!? No. I was rushed out of the salon tonight without getting anything done, THE SECOND TIME this place literally had me come all the way in only to just say 'Sorry! Thoughts and Prayers! I can correct your hair in several days for $300!' I am absolutely disgusted. I will never go to this horrible place again, I've left in tears twice now with NO SERVICE, she would not even do my roots at least?! I'm buying my first house tomorrow with horrible roots. It meant a lot to me and they ruined it by this unprofessional nonsense. I asked to speak to a manager and, shocker, there wasn't one there. The owner was not available either as he is in another state apparently. Maybe that's why this place is such a joke. I've never been treated so flippantly in my life. Avoid this rude and mean place at all costs. I mean, twice I had to leave the salon because they were unprofessional and unprepared. Also no one cared, like I said, they may as well have just said 'thoughts and prayers!' because they didn't give a crap about letting me down for a SECOND time. I'm disgusted, this place is horrible. I don't often leave reviews on Yelp, however, today was my first visit to Juut and I felt their service was so incredible that the least I could do was leave a glowing review on this site. From the minute I stepped into Juut I was impressed. My temperature was taken, I was asked to fill out a COVID-19 form and the chairs were very socially distanced while I waited. It was not crowded at all once I went back to get my hair done, so I never felt claustrophobic or nervous about my proximity to others. Furthermore, masks were required of everyone and everyone I met or saw happily complied. This meant a lot considering I was switching salons because my former salon had revoked their mask mandate recently and I refused to return. For anyone who is looking to get their hair done, but is concerned about safety, I cannot recommend this place enough. They were incredibly organized and I saw them sanitize every area after each guest. Right now, that kind of care for clients, stylists and employees makes a huge difference in my mind and speaks to how they will treat clients beyond the pandemic, as well. They always ask if I want something to drink and never are very patient when I sort through my calendar for a follow-up appointment. Great salon that was recently converted from Moodswings Salon. This location is tucked away in the Hilton Village plaza, so you'll have to search to find it. However, when you find it, you'll find yourself whisked away into another experience. From the moment you enter Juut to the time you leave, you're taken care of by the most friendly and professional staff. Specifically, Naomi is amazing!
