I have visited this store several times over the past couple of years, and today was a nightmare. It was never this bad before. My sister and I came in to eat and get coffee before visiting our mother (on hospice). The breakfast burrito was gross and zero bacon that we ordered. When I took it back to the counter, it took several minutes before anyone recognized I was even there. They were busy in the back, rehashing their weekend events. Then the young lady wanted to argue about the bacon. We ordered it, "Why do you want to question what I said we ordered, when my sister and I were both standing here?" Does it matter? We want bacon. Then, they brought us 4 strips of solidly BURNT bacon! I had enough and took it back. The first young lady pushed the plates back at me and said, "There's your bacon!" And walked behind the wall to chat with her friends. Now pissed, I yelled, "Hello!" A young man came around with a deer-in-the-headlights look. I told him, "You all are not paying attention to your guests. The burritos are wrong. The bacon is burnt. You can just keep it." No apologies. No offer to refund the $6.50 plus taxed burrito. No nothing! AVOID THIS COFFEE SHOP! They don't give a ra** *** about customers or customer service. That is all. read more

I'm visiting from California and I have been to a lot of coffee shops all over SoCal.. but this is one of the best coffees I have had .. the flavor of the coffee is great!! It used to be a coffee shop. Now it is a market with a side line of coffee. The most comfortable place to sit is the library....all 10 chairs. No over stuffed chairs or comfy sofa. But, there is a garage/patio with roll up garage doors, inadequate heat in the winter and bad A/C in the summer. They feature really uncomfortable metal chairs and table out in the garage. Sooo, if you're looking for a nice coffee shop where you can linger in comfort...go elsewhere. I suggest Panera. That covers ambience. The food is not a good as other comparable places. Again, I suggest Panera. Service is often lacking. They do not seem to appreciate their coffee customers. I guess the focus is on the market. read more

$9 for a half sandwich and half filled cup? I dont know about this. Why do I not get a full sandwich? And why dont you utilize a smaller cup if you fill it with ice? I was told the Vietnamese coffe is just an espresso shot with condensed milk (traditional is a strong cold brew with condensed, not a shot). The coffee was good though with a clean taste. I wish there was more. The panini was to oil saturated. I didnt notice if this is a heat up sandwich from a package like Starbucks? Probably. read more

Great service at this location. The staff is really friendly and helpful in explaining the different variety of coffees and add ins. The food variety is really good for breakfast with muffins, scones, quiche, and sandwiches. I really haven't eaten lunch there often, but what I had was really delicious. This place has really improved a lot since I reviewed it six years ago. read more

It's freezing in here! I'm sitting on a chair next to the gas stove and it's still about 50 degrees inside. All of the staff are wearing coats because it's so cold! The food is kinda meh. And the coffee is ok but not great. Definitely go to Starbucks if you have the choice. read more

I usually go to Panera, but I wanted something different, stopped by sweet bay eastside. Coffee pretty good, the bagel melt had a little bacon in the middle of the bagel, but the service the girl making coffee said a weak hello and the guy who took my order didn't say anything until he got off his cell phone and HAD to wait on me. I think it's a bad idea putting a bunch of young hipster kids who don't have the customer service skills of a slug and would rather talk to each other or play on their phones than wait on customers. I am not as fond of this Sweet Bay location as the others in town. It is a bit smaller inside, without as much seating. There are some areas outside to sit if you would rather work and get some fresh air. The coffee quality is decent - I ordered a latte. It did lack some flavor and the scone seemed a bit dry. There is free wifi at this location and it performed better here than other locations I have visited. For the most part, the coffee at Sweet Bay is ok. I do miss the feeling of a shop that takes pride in serving gourmet beans with an emphasis on quality. Much like the other reviewers, if you want to visit the best Sweet Bay location, I would suggest their location at Old Greenwood and Rogers. read more

I was told...YOU HAVE TO GO TO SWEET BAY! Well, alrighty then. After we found the place I asked for a bold house coffee. They gave me a medium size drink, which I asked for room for cream. They filled it up instead. No biggy on that, but when I drank the coffee. Gross! It tasted like someone put coffee flavored water in the cup. Was so weak. I paid almost $3.00 for water. Well, I decided to give them another chance, so I dumped the other drink and went back up for another selection. This time, none of the three people would help me. I asked one girl, and she said she had to help a drive thru customer. Some bearded young man just standing around kept looking at the other girl as if it were his girlfriend and didn't even look my way. As if he'd have to help me if he did. I just left and went up to Starbucks where I should have gone in the first place. Please do not waste any of your time at this flea market attempt at serious coffee. Sweet Bay sucks in my book. I guess in Ft.Smith they think they can fool real coffee lovers. read more

I have drank sweet bay double French roast aka sweet bay blend for many years and has always been a treat, even bought the beans to brew at home. The last pound of this blend was lacking that delicious deep smoky flavor si I quit buying by the pound for home. Today I stopped by the east side sweet bay and purchased a large cup of double French roast and a large pumpkin spice latte for a co worker, after tasting the cup of coffee it lacked the familiar smoky taste and had a taste of bad coffee with a hint of a flavored coffee, I told the young man and two girls that the coffee was not the same in which they all laughed, my co workers latte had residue floating in it and was not what we were used to getting, very disappointed but I do plan to try the location next to creek more park one more time as I received a gift card for Christmas I need to use. Whoever manages the east side location needs to figure out the problem, we have always preferred sweet bay to Starbucks. read more
