I visited this coffee shop in a Sunday morning. It wasn't super busy, but you can tell it's a local favorite. There was a bible study group and several people working or studying. The mochas are their specialty, and the caramel truffle one was very good. Not overly sweet. The best part is the sun room seating area full of plants and windows for natural light. Cool spot for a coffee joint. The coffee was good. My biggest complaint was that the food isn't cooked...it's prepared. My food almost beat me to the table... microwaves are fast. The eggs look as if their cooked in a square pan in a microwave and the "bacon" was very odd. I asked for salsa, which look as if it came from a jar. One and done! These folks were happy to serve me with about 10 minutes before closing. I ordered a sandwich to go which they put together and packaged for me nicely. They had a great attitude and never had any issues and I was grateful. The store is clean. It is well laid out and they have excellent food product that is both prepared and also items that are prepackaged for the store shells. Have a great selection of coffees and teas and other specialty sodas and drinks. They have a nice side room with glass all around and roll up doors for the spring and summer months. And they also have gourmet market prep prepared frozen items for purchase to take home and prepare for your family. read more

Well, pulled in today and it's OFFICAL. It's NO LONGER Sweet Bay Coffee. It's the "Market by the Park". So, goodbye coffee shop...hello retail black bison annex. The demise of the inviting coffee shop has been evident for weeks. Coffee drinkers are relegated to the garage area with extremely uncomfortable chairs and a complete lack of ambiance. If you like coffee flavored mochas then make sure you ask for an extra shot. Their mochas without one taste like sugar milk. I do really like the flavor of them if an extra shot of espresso is added. Staff friendliness is hit and miss. Ok...so the real reason for my subpar review...the drive through worker touching money then putting the lid on and straw in the drink. Totally unsanitary and, really, just gross. Why they don't have the ones making the coffee putting the lid/straw onto the coffee is beyond me. The coffee preparer will hand it to the cashier to put the lid on and the straw in. I sent a message regarding this disgusting practice and waited before reviewing on Yelp...because that is easily something they can do better. I never received a reply so to Yelp I go. read more

I bought pd of coffee yesterday and forgot to get my card punched and ask if I showed her my receipt would she punch my card. She would not. Do you really want to make a good customer mad over a punch. She was rude. I had to get up twice for things she forgot. She let me know I had to wear my mask away from table and totally agree but she never apologized for her poor service. My friend and I left her a tip no thank you. What is up with the quality of the salads in the past month? They have gone from using good salad greens (meaning not iceberg lettuce) to using brown iceberg. I'm so glad I try this coffee shop. It's cozy and has a beautiful outdoor seating area. I got latte and usually like extra hot. Without asking, I got a pretty good hot latte, which usually doesn't happen in OC, California. I got bagel melt and it's yum. I really like here. The vibe is right and you can relax. I had a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese and a standard coffee which were both great. I needed wifi access and a place to do paperwork while on the road and this was far more enjoyable than a Starbucks. I could tell this was a sorta neighborhood coffeeshop. There were small groups meeting around the facility and it seemed like a wonderful shop to spend an afternoon hanging out or take a date to. I'd definitely try more of the menu next time around. read more

Decent sandwiches- my kids' grilled cheese came on seasoned garlic bread (yum!). Sweet Bay is a standout for foofy syrupy coffee concoctions- take the decadent mocha shake. Man, oh man. Don't share! "Miiiiiine, all mine!!!" Good local alternative to Starbucks in the Fort, though the coffee- in the case that you're *serious* about coffee (as in, you'd taste kopi luwak if given the chance; or you have your own Aeropress for americanos)- is rather run of the mill. read more

Update: I loved their coffee ever since I moved to this town, but unfortunately, they lost me and my friends as clients. They are not consistent with prices and employees get obviously frustrated when asking questions about the check. They can't care less about the cleaning of the place specially that disgusting drive thru window. There are many other coffee shops in the area. read more

I take customer service very serious, especially this day in age when people work hard for every dime they make.  Today (2/5) I came into your coffee shop and ordered a Red Bull chill, and half sandwich with a salad. When I placed my order, I told the cashier that I would like to add cheese to my salad (I was okay with being charged). She forgot to add it to my order so when I received my food there was no cheese on my salad. I informed her that I asked for cheese. She was nice about it and said that she would go get them to add it.  When she brought my food back to me, the person who added my cheese literally added maybe about 8 stands of cheese( and I'm not exaggerating). I then proceeded to tell her that I would like more cheese because it wasn't enough. She goes back to the kitchen and I could hear her telling the person in the back that I wanted more cheese because I said that it wasn't enough. The lady in the back (loudly enough that I could hear her from my seat.. which was by the front door) starts saying that cheese doesn't come on the side salad and that she was going to put a little more but after that she will not add anymore to my salad.  Like I stated before, I was okay with being charged for my cheese when  I first placed my order. But the cashier didn't add it to my order. From that point it is no longer my fault or my problem. Now as a customer, I shouldn't have to hear the person in the back making any negative comments. Especially since I'm a customer only wanting cheese added to my salad. After hearing the comments from the kitchen. I then asked for a refund because I wasn't going to spend my money at an establishment where comments are being made about me getting extra cheese or not.  When the manager came to give me my refund, she didn't ask me what the problem was, she didn't want to "fix" the situation, she didn't even apologize. She honestly didn't say anything aside from, "could you please sign the recipe."  They have lost me as a customer. I've spent hundreds of dollars over the years at Sweet Bay and I've never gotten this kind of customer service.  Don't waste your time or money at this location. read more

Service sucks. Ordered mine and my girlfriends coffee and waited forever to get it. Stood in line for about 20 minutes being the first in line and 6 people after us. We were the last to get our drinks. When I asked if the barista even started our drinks, he said no and couldn't find our order. It's a shame bc I really do love their coffee. read more
