All the flavors we tried were good, and overall the gelato was excellent. We've had some incredible gelato elsewhere in Italy, but this was still very enjoyable. Worth stopping in if you're in San Gimignano. Grab some and enjoy by the well in the center of the piazza.

However, we decided to take a chance when the line disappeared, plus we were desperate. First of all, very expensive for gelato, even more than prices at renowned spots - and tiny scoops! Workers very stingy, even with giving a couple extra spoons. Also, no samples, our first time experiencing that at a shop. Flavors tasted fine, which was this shop's only saving grace. Ultimately, because there aren't many options in Vernazza, it was an okay gelato spot, but the overall experience left a sour taste. Hopefully the servers we encountered were an outlier!
