But more importantly, the cake tasted really good! Which is definitely not true for most wedding cakes. We thought that the first staff members we approached could have been more informative and welcoming, but no biggie. We came for the lavender festival (paid $77.90 with VIP parking). The scent of lavender wafting through the back patio was serene. The lavender fields offered scenic photo opportunities as well. The lavender themed cocktails were delicious. Pricey (paid $40+ w/tip for 2 drinks), but damn good. The matcha room offered high quality tea with balanced flavors (~$12+ w/tip). We loved the little shops offering unique items. The crafting area had engaging crafts; each station was about $8. We decided to make bookmarks using dried flowers. Staff at the crafting area were friendly and helpful. We also booked high tea. We loved that it was located at their back patio. There was a nice breeze and a good view of the lavender fields. Personally, I thought there was too much foot traffic during tea but other people in my party didn't mind. Our waitress was friendly, but a tad slow and unfortunately brought out the wrong tea. Overall, the food was good. We loved the curry sandwich the most along with a few of the desserts. The lemon poppy was fantastic! We paid $201 for this experience.

Anita is amazing besides that her deserts are delicious her personality is beautiful. I ordered my daughters first cake with her and i completly loved it. My experience was won over by the way she treated my order. She asked me how i wanted the cake and asked for pictures of all the theme decortions and everytime she had an idea she would message me which showed that she acually puts a lot of thought and creativity in her work for me this was extremely important i felt like she wanted the cake to be perfect as much as i did. Working with her is great shes super kind and her work is unique and tasty & im not even a big fan of deserts but her cakes i will eat. Also I'd like to point out that I really like that she delivers because I have seen other people who don't and the customer ends up picking it up themselves and the cake ends up looking uneven plus its a big help to have it delivered. On your event day it saves you time and takes some stess off knowing that your cake will be there just fine.Five Stars in customer sevice & deliciousness. read more

My daughter found a picture of her dream cake for her Sweet 16. My friend highly recommended Anita. We sent the picture with our special requests and asked a million questions. Anita was so helpful and answered right away. The cake turned out perfect. It was gorgeous, even better than the picture! I was so tired of paying for cake that no one wanted to eat. These are night and day from market cakes. I will eat these cakes ALL day. They are so flavorful, rich and moist. Absolutely the best I have ever tasted. If you order from sweet city cakes, make sure you get a bigger cake than what you need because they are so bomb that people will steal cake to take home lol no joke!!! My favorite has to be the chocolate with Oreo frosting or fresh banana. Ugh I want some right now! read more

I am new to the area so I needed a new "cake person" I yelped, and found Anita. I am so glad I took the chance and ordered my daughters birthday cake from her. I emailed Anita from Sweet City Cakes roughly a few weeks ago. I always got responses within 24 hours and she never failed to answer all of my questions. The prices were fair but unfortunately the event I had planned to host was cancelled, so I no longer needed service. Nevertheless, I will keep this place in mind for their wonderful customer service! Finally, I ordered vanilla filling, but since this was my first time ever ordering a custom cake, I didn't know I needed to specify buttercream or bavarian cream, nor was it asked for clarificafion by the person taking my order. So the filling was also not what I expected. The funfetti cake tasted good, and the shells were beautiful and very realistic. 3 stars instead of 2 since my daughter still loved it and the design/color matched my request, but room for improvement and customer satisfaction. However, for the price I paid, this is pretty disappointing.
