I am not the type of person to leave reviews this is my first time because of bad customer service, I want to love this place it's so cute & very vintage my kind of place to take my kids to get candy & snacks but the older lady who works there is extremely rude! My first in counter of her was a couple weeks ago & I had asked her for a latte & she sigh at me & my bf & we just thought maybe she had a bad day it's okay second time she did it again! So disappointed by my experience this sunday morning! Barista was rude and NOT a good coffee maker! I come here every saturday and the lady who makes it knows me and makes it superb! They even had a big jug of heavy cream yesterday bc thats what I usually add to my coffee! This morning new lady said there was no heavy cream. Which i knew was a lie bc I saw the jug... so she made my americano and i asked for vanilla syrup. She filled water all the way to the top and got mad for not asking me if i wanted cream/milk or whatever! Of course i did. U guys didnt have heavy cream so I would substitute it. Everytime I come I order 2 coffees and a pastry. Thats $15 every time and I am a LOYAL customer. You guys have brick & stone and they make bomb coffee next store and I come to u guys to support bc u guys are ususallly dead and I want u guys to thrive but i wont be coming anymore especially if that lady is working. I am extremely disappointed and disgusted. I can't believe a business would sell moldy food. This strawberry eclair is quite literally filled with mold. My sister bought this eclair today on 5/20/21. It tasted terrible and was extremely hard. I opened it up suspecting it was old and then I found it to be covered in mold. The strawberries also looked mushy and rotten. The macarons she purchased were also hard. You don't expect to spend $26.42 to be sold items that are rotting. It's especially shocking to me that a business would not even take the time to check their food when COVID-19 is still an issue. This place has very bad business practice. read more

Went in unexpectedly and was so happy with the service I received from the cafe! She welcomed my husband and I as soon as we walked in. She helped us choose something off the menu that we would most likely like, and we did! I went with the Rose tea (I think that's what it's called) and it's delicious! Do not order cookies from them!!!!! Supposedly their cookie lady called in and someone else tried to make the cookies that I ordered months in advance. They were suppose to be ready by noon and around 3pm, I showed up looking for my cookies. They were still not done and when they finally brought them out I refused them because they looked like a preschooler made them. They gave me a full refund but the whole situation was so unprofessional. I will not be coming back here again for anything. read more

This shop is absolutely adorable, we went over the weekend to check it out. Awesome variety of treats and a great stop for kids. I was pleased with the selection of books for kids, some titles I haven't seen in stores since I was a kid. This evening my husband brought home an anniversary gift from here, both of our favorites - veggie chips and yogurt pretzels - as well as a couple chocolates, which I haven't gotten to try yet, but they look delicious. The cutest little treat/kids boutique. Forgetting to check and see if they were open on Sundays, I had the pleasure of running into Shelly as she was stopping by to do some extra work. She said even though they were closed she didn't mind letting me shop around while she finished up some work she had. So great full to her and found the cutest little book to give to my FIRST nephew. Placed a $144.00 order for pick up on Valentine's Day and went to pick it up and they didn't have it made or ready. They made me prove I had paid for the order and when I received the order it was poorly put together and I'm Sad to have to give these to my valentines! The strawberries were thrown in a box and slide all over , should have been put in a smaller box or put some filler in so they wouldn't slide and my box for my husband looks like a grade schooler put it together. I miss the old owners. I'll go to Selma next time. read more

In the past, Sweet Destinations has been such a welcoming place and has had excellent customer service. However, my most recent visit there left me feeling invisible. After being in the store for about 10 minutes and making a couple of rounds, I had yet to be greeted by anyone. After a while I was the only customer left in the store and still had yet to have anyone ask me if I needed any help or let me know that they were available if I had any questions. Once I made my choices, I stood at the counter for a minute, and finally one of the young ladies asked me if I was ready. I made my purchase and headed towards the door thinking I would hear, "Thank you!" as they had done with the other customers who walked out before me, but all I heard was silence as I exited. Because I believe in giving everyone a second chance and I love the store, the merchandise they carry, and it's quaint small town charm, I will go back again in the hopes that I will be treated equally and have a more pleasant experience as a valued customer. read more
