Yay! This store is so incredibly inviting for people of all ages! Totally gave me, like Pismo Beach just chill vibes! Candy galore, so many awesome pop culture gifts, retro style toys, prank toys, and more unique beverages than you can even imagine! Love that when you purchase a glass bottled beverage, you get to open it in-store with a vintage style opener at the side of the counter. Sooo nostalgic, I loved it! Though Rocket Fizz has just recently opened, I have visited a few times, and have experienced great customer service, smiles, and good conversations with the young ladies working each time. To my pleasant surprise, everything is pretty reasonably priced, and good quality. This is definitely going to be my go-to place for unique gifts for friends, co-workers, birthdays, and yeah...for me too! Just plain childhood revisited, but really cool new stuff everywhere also! They are in the heart of Old-Town Clovis and definitely worth a visit! So, yes... I recommend checking them out!

There's a booth toward the back with baggies of Barbie and Ken shoes and clothes (both vintage and handmade clothes). There are actual built dollhouses and many racks and bins of dollhouse miniatures, too! Prices look reasonable: the Skipper shoes I bought would have cost at least as much on etsy or eBay. Staff is very nice: lets you browse without being all over you.

It has a different focus than the other sewing and quilting shops in the Fresno area. Mary Kay, the proprietor is a charming and lovely woman Very attentive to detail. The shop is in an old house. It's been converted to the store. Behind the store there is a converted garage where she has a classroom and holds classes. Check out the calendar. The calendar lists sewing days that you can sign up for, and classes with a variety of techniques for many different types of styles and interests of all types of Quilters. Now down to the Fabrics. She has a focus on Lori Holt from Riley, Blake fabric manufacturer, fresh, bright, and pretty. She also carries a number of major lines from Moda, including the collection for a cause, French general, which is sort of a romantic, antique look, and also Andover prints by laundry basket, quilts. These are things that greatly interest me and other shops in town tend to focus more on modern fabrics and modern quilting with a lot of batiks and modern prints. So I'm glad The Quilted Goat is focused on providing a different sort of inventory. In addition, The Quilted Goat carries a lot of pre-cuts, plus fat quarters if you just want to select a few little pieces to fill out your stash or sample things. She has a whole wall of notions. This is towards the back of the shop. The shop is decorated in kind of a vintage style vibe. Additionally, there are many quilts and samples of sewing on display. One of the quilts, a disappearing nine patch was beautifully displayed, and there is a class coming up on that at the end of January this year 2024 every room has something inspiring, fun, vibrant to get your quilting juices flowing. Mary Kay sends out a newsletter which you can also find on her website. In my opinion, this is the best quilting store in town.

They are simple soup and sandwich lunches. Some sandwiches are grilled paninis. She makes all the soups, all the desserts and all the meals from scratch. their Buddha bowl salad is one of the best healthiest and tasty salads in town. Hands-down, the best soups I've ever eaten. The new location has a larger dining area and room to grow. It's a little more out-of-the-way for me, but after the lunch I had yesterday I will go out of my way! Yesterday we had this bean and sausage soup, which the sausage had a bit of spice and was seasoned perfectly. They're split pea soup is the best I've ever had. Their carrot cake with their light creamy frosting and moist nutty interior is also the best I've ever had. We are a family who have owned restaurants for many years and have discriminating palates and have traveled the world. This is a sleeper chef for sure! This is a huge compliment from us.

They have tables for sitting, a coffee bar, deli counter for sandwiches, and small menu for food items. We were just window shopping, but I did notice their large selection of flavored and candied nuts, local wines, dried fruits, and artisanal candy. They also sell candles and other non-edible items like lotions and some bath items. Most everything sold here is locally sourced from the surrounding farms and businesses.
