I'm a native New Yorker and came to Albuquerque specifically to ride on an air balloon on my birthday, and it was better than I could have imagined. Aside from them having a great location of ascension, and the balloon itself being beautiful, the guys manning it were extremely friendly! One of them took photos of us before, during and after the ride from the ground and then gave us a flash drive of the pics. This is the cheapest air balloon ride in town from what I saw shopping around online, but they spared no expense in making it a memorable moment. After the ride, they set out a table with an air balloon tablecloth, and popped a bottle of Champagne and opened a fresh box of Krispy Kreme Donuts that we all toasted with. Kirk and his chaser were awesome. My husband and I took my Mom and sister on an afternoon flight Nov. 2017. It was a great, intimate experience for a great, competitive price. Kirk was very knowledgeable and we felt safe. We only wish we could have gone a little higher in elevation but understand that winds are different at different elevations. I lost my selfie stick sometime after we landed. Kirk found it in the folds of the balloon the next time he was taking it out for a flight and immediately contacted me and later delivered it to me. I really appreciated that he did that for me. Good company and I would use them again. read more

Wow, so where can I begin?!? So about four months before our hot air balloon ride, I did TONS of research to make sure my group and I were getting the best deal. Sweet Escape Balloon Rides is far and away the best bang for your buck! Our pilot Kirk was very accommodating when it came to pricing, accommodating the amount of passengers in our group, moving our departure date around, answering all of my questions, etc. Our hot air balloon prep started on time, (my group and I were the ones who were late, lol,) and Kirk took us up and around as much as he could, he answered all of our nerdy/dorky questions that I am sure he answers on a DAILY basis and he was very friendly and accommodating. Our experience included a magical hot air balloon ride that lasted for about an hour, stunning views, landing in someone's driveway and then swapping spots with another family, chasing them down, picking and packing everything up, a lapel, certificate, doughnuts, champagne and all of our pictures delivered on a hard drive. I would highly recommend this family business to anyone and everyone in the Albuquerque area or even those visiting from elsewhere like my group and I were. Thank you Sweet Escape Balloon Rides.
