We had a traditional Indian wedding with a touch of Texas flair, and over the course of five different events--each with its own theme--she brought every vision to life. From our Bridgerton-inspired Mehndi and Flower Market Vidhi, to a Midsummer Night's Dream Sangeet, a Lotus-themed Wedding, and finally our Boots & Sari Texas Ball Reception, every detail was breathtaking. Each event felt unique, magical, and unforgettable. One of the most special moments was during our wedding ceremony. Dipti went above and beyond to find real lotus flowers in honor of my grandmother. Walking down the aisle surrounded by them brought me to tears and made me feel as though she was right there with me. That level of thoughtfulness and care is something we will cherish forever. Dipti will always have backup plans on top of backup plans--something every anxious bride needs! When it rained during our Vidhi, she transformed my parents' garage into an absolute dream. From the moment my wife and I arrived, we were met with indifference and a lack of professionalism. She began talking on the phone after we stood by the window. As she was the greeting face, she failed to greet us, offer any assistance or state that she would be with us shortly. As a venue that asks customers to pay potentially over $2,000 for a 4 hour rental space this behavior was off putting and a large factor into where we will spend our money. Very disappointing!

What a wonderful event we had at the Petroleum Club of Houston to celebrate our 40th anniversary…read more Since our anniversary is sandwiched between Christmas and Valentine's, House of Hough steered us in the right direction with only a touch of red (40th anniversary color) in the napkins on the dining tables and more red on the hors d'oeuvres and cocktail tables, They offer a choice of napkin folds, and we chose the vertical cummerbund. We thought it worked perfectly! They also suggested that we use the platinum linen on the table where we placed our pictures so that they would be the star rather than a red or brighter color. And the champagne charger fit perfectly pulling in the gold tones of the candle holders. It was a delight to work with all of the staff and all went smoothly. We thought the pricing was reasonable. We highly recommend them!!

The owner also owns the barbershop around the corner in the same plaza and came quickly to meet me to do the tour once I arrived. He responds quickly to texts and calls. Here are my notes: venue comes with - 60 folding chairs - 2 round tables - 5 (4 ft) rectangle tables - 4 (6 ft) rectangle tables - 4 high top bar tables - 24 bar stools - 3 buffets for food service, one large cooler, a cold drink fridge, one very small food warmer (small black box next to the white cooler in my video). - Separate gender bathrooms - WiFi and Bluetooth Sound system with good volume that can be loud. Can show a slideshow on TV. (Everything was out in the video except for some of the stools. You can set up how you want.) The time you reserve includes set up and break down (chairs and tables need to be broken down and placed against the wall). Unless you pay an additional fee for him to set up and break down for you. Trash needs to be taken to dumpster at the end of your rental. Parking is what is available in the plaza. There is a small lot right next to the venue that was empty when I toured. He will unlock door and walk through at the beginning of your time and come back for walk through at end of time. $200 refundable deposit is required to book and signed contract (cash, cashier check, M.O. or Zelle). Full payment is due 2 weeks before your event (can do PayPal invoice). These are my notes and ratings based on the tour, not based on me using the space. When I toured, they just had an event recently, so it had not been cleaned or broken down yet. Which I am grateful for because that let me see the potential of how many the space will hold with all the tables and chairs out.

They are one of the few vendors I found who have child size tables and chairs--they were the perfect size for our toddler and pre-school aged guests. They also have a very reasonable delivery fee which included set-up and pick-up. Carlos was very easy to deal with when I called to make the arrangements. He was right on-time when he delivered them and was very professional. He also saved the day for us. While he was setting up our tables, I began to receive calls from the company I had ordered our bounce house from that they might be late or not arrive at all. Carlos told me that he would be in our area making deliveries and to call him and he would come back with a bounce house for us if the other company did not show. Sure enough, with an hour to go until party time, we still had no bounce house and 30 kids about to arrive. I called Carlos, and he came right back to our home and installed the bounce house at a very reasonable rate (most vendors would have seen two desperate parents and inflated the price). The bounce house was very high-quality and clean. I will definitely be contacting Moonwalk Wonders for all of my future party needs. Thanks again Carlos for making our party a success!
