You pay for snacks and scan tickets at the front and then popcorn and drinks are self serve. I have never been to self serve popcorn but I loved it. You can fill and butter as you see fit. The seat backs are too high and I had to recline the seats in front of us so we could see the whole screen. It wouldn't be as noticeable if the seats were set up as stadium seating. There is no wall that blocks the light when the doors are opened, so that is also a downside to NCG. Since we don't live in Savannah we had to rely on fandango to find us a local theater. The AMC is general admission (no reserved seating) so we chose NCG. We would return, but they do need to rethink design.

The theaters are always clean and never packed with people. They parking lot is shared with a couple great restaurants so dinner and a movie is a convenient date night. They have the best employees. Local kids and one named Joseph has been the best. He's knowledgeable and really helpful. Overall, my theater of choice. St. Simons is a busy island but the theater is a chill place to go when you've had enough of the beach for the day.

The movie had all the elements to impress! The lighting, the cinematography, the acting were on par. One unbelievable fact is that the music was all original! It was an awesome event! When ordering online, you have the option to order tickets through Fandango or Georgia Theater Company. Both options offer rewards, but I prefer fandango since I can use my rewards at any theater across the country who uses them. The ticket booth is a riot. There is one young man who usually manages the booth as you walk in, and he is hilarious. Great personality, and he will tell you all the important things to look out for like sneak peaks after the credits. GTC Houston Lakes is by far the best theater in a 20-mile radius.

I would recommend purchasing your ticket in advance as they do work in a reserved seating format, not open seating. Kiosks are available in the lobby as well. If you have a mobile ticket you can go right to the attendant to see your movie. I've seen other comments stating that the line for concessions is long - that was our experience as well. Other that that, the staff was very nice and happy to help.

The concession area was also very well stocked, with plenty of options, and everything felt clean and organized. The tickets were a bit on the pricey side, not sure if it was because of this specific movie or if that's just the standard now but overall, it felt worth it for the comfort and experience. ALL seating consists of old broken lumpy recliners that I imagine have been glued so the feet don't extend. This is exactly as uncomfortable as it sounds. And not have to deal with teenagers who are animated and laughing and joking with other employees, but when they turn to sell you tickets have a sour face and no pleasant words. I considered apologizing to her for showing up and making her life more difficult but decided not to.) On the positive side the popcorn is tasty, and you really need it to distract yourself from the hideous discomfort of the seats during the hour and a half you are trapped in them. Another positive is that once you get out of those seats you are so intensely grateful that it causes instant cheerfulness and immense gratitude for the things you have at home.
