Sadly uncomfortable, grubby (DO NOT use the bathrooms) expensive and employees seem like actors playing the role of bored and resentful teenagers. ALL seating consists of old broken lumpy recliners that I imagine have been glued so the feet don't extend. This is exactly as uncomfortable as it sounds. Sad to say, but I can rent a new movie at home and sit in my own comfortable chairs for a lot less. And not have to deal with teenagers who are animated and laughing and joking with other employees, but when they turn to sell you tickets have a sour face and no pleasant words. (when I said have a nice day to the last one she informed me it would be a nice day if she wasn't working on a Saturday. I considered apologizing to her for showing up and making her life more difficult but decided not to.) On the positive side the popcorn is tasty, and you really need it to distract yourself from the hideous discomfort of the seats during the hour and a half you are trapped in them. Another positive is that once you get out of those seats you are so intensely grateful that it causes instant cheerfulness and immense gratitude for the things you have at home. read more

Only theater on the mainland. Don't bother buying tickets online or in the app. It cost $2 per ticket. You still have stand in line since their kiosk doesn't work anymore. Management misspoke and called it an inconvenience fee. read more

Tell me why you purchase your tickets online pay a connivence fee to just wait in a long line with only one cashier? This makes no sense. Online tickets should not be waiting in the same line as people buying popcorn. Staff is unfriendly and everyone has the same look on their face nobody is happy to be there. read more

Worst service ever. Line out the door because they can't scan your pre purchase tickets as you walk in or look at them and let you go. Therefore everyone has to wait in a big line whether you want food or not. So inept and disorganized!! People are leaving and walking out the door. Serves them right they only have 2 people working the front and contending with all those people. What are we all paying a 1.89 per ticket for so we can wait!! Not too many people inside but still a long line to wait for my tickets which I pre purchased on fandango- not sure why they haven't made it to the 2000s and gotten a scanner. They made me keep my purse in the car. A purse I had brought for year the only thing new was the pride pins. In the same trip the movie was not playing. So I asked them 15min after the start time. They attendent asked me trying to be a problem. As if asking that the movie play as paid for was some kind of retaliation. If you have a choice go somewhere else. Saw The Batman in their GTX theater and I was VERY disappointed in the picture quality. Small details and background objects seemed blurry. The contrast ratio in dark scenes was terrible. It reminded me of our projector at home when the bulb is at end of life and needs changing. The sound system in the GTX is decent, but not the best I've heard. The seats are comfortable. I just can't get over how bad the picture quality was and this is the reason I'm taking 2 stars off. read more

This place is awesome, but not world class. Small, clean, comfortable, and convenient. I haven't had to wait in line for more than 2 minutes to buy tickets or have to search for good seats even after arriving 5 minutes before the movie starts, on an opening night! Currently the theater is showing 8 movies, 2 in 3D. Tickets are $9.50 regular, $7.50 for showings before 5pm. My only complaint: No hot dogs for sale! Came to see the new minions movie with two kids, one still in diapers. Unfortunately I was sent back because I wasn't able to bring the diaper bag with me. The worker could have searched it; all I had were my wallet, phone, diapers, wipes, and emergency clothes for him and I in case he has an accident. I asked about well what if I have to change his diaper or if he has an accident and leaks? I had to go back to my car and grab two diapers, wipes, and the extra outfits and carry those while also carrying a toddler. Basically had to put our things on the theater seats which were not clean. As a mom and a breastfeeding mother this was extremely inconvenient. I would have, again, gladly let them check my DIAPER bag. I was not able to carry his milk bottle as well so now breast milk gone to waste because I had zero hands. I get purses and stuff but diaper bags when I visibly am holding a toddler? Customer service was subpar tonight at best. Besides that, has decent pricing and okay seats. This was my first time at this theater and definitely my last. read more

Wednesday, January 22, 2020, 12:45 PM, theater 6. This was a terrible experience. First we just about froze, it felt like it was 50 degrees. The hall way was warm but in the theater it was very cold. Must have been the same temperature as it was out side. The second thing that was bad was the sound. Center speakers where the voices were was so quiet I could not hear what was being said in the movie and the side speakers were turned up so loud I had to hold my hands over my ears. I went back to the front counter and complained and at about half way through the movie I finally started hearing the dialog of the story. I'll have to watch this one again to get anything out of it. I hope the managers do something about this for future movie goers. read more

Very conveniently located right next to the Embassy Suites Hotel. You can walk over and enjoy a movie. Prices are a bit high but, you don't have to drive anywhere so you save on travel. Just don't order from the snack bar. read more

Man this place to me seems very poorly operated . I went to see a movie, it began with out any previews being shown which I thought was odd. The movie started the lights were still on, one of my friends had to tell one of the workers . The back speaker was out and for the first 20 minutes the speakers repeatedly switch from normal to an underwater sound. Easily the worst movie experience I've had . Maybe it was just a bad day for them but I had to go ask for my money back. read more

My boyfriend and I come here all the time to see GTX movies and love it! Today we were not so lucky when we decided to go to a regular matinee movie. When we walked in​ to our favorite row I saw 3 soda bottles and popcorn left from the last movie​. We went​ down a row and while walking to our seats my boyfriend kicked a beer bottle. My husband and I have been to this theater many times and even though I argue that the prices are way to high I love movies to much to not go. When you see the outside you think of it being a new building but that is where you are highly mistaken. The concession stand and the GTX are whats new. If you are not seeing a movie in the GTX theater you are still in the old theater. The old theaters smell stale, and are stuffy. With it being so hot you'd think they have adequate air circulation but they dont. When I took my seat I thought that my seat was a little damn so I moved, well that seat was damn as well. No one wants to have a wet butt during a 2 1/2 hour movie but I dealt. Will I be back to this theater, yes because quite honestly its the only thing Brunswick really has to offer. read more

Theater now has 14 theaters. It opened on April 1 2015 with a few new auditoriums. The atmosphere is much better than before the new opening. The service is pretty good too. They offer free refills on popcorn and drinks as well however the bin that the popcorn is stored in retains ALL the unpopped seeds for the entire day. This is only important if you go to a later movie. You end up with stale popcorn and about 300 seeds in your bucket. My rating for this theater is based on the management or the lack thereof for this particular station because who doesn't want popcorn when going to the theater. I would rather risk smuggling my own popcorn into this theater than break a tooth on unpopped popcorn. read more

The Glynn Place Mall has never lived up to its potential; all the folks with money travel to larger cities to make their purchases. The Glynn Place Stadium Cinemas suffer from their inclusion in the mall. They would probably be better maintained if they were housed in a stand alone building. Prices are comparable to other movie houses nearby, but because of the maintenance of the mall generally, I will almost always drive past them and go to their sister theater on St. Simon's Island. The only time I come to the Glynn Place Stadium Cinemas is if the movie I wish to see is not playing on St Simon's Island. read more

We went to the New theatre in Brunswick tonight. Excited and thought wow state of the are digital sound, and more. But sorry to say I was very disappointed.Well when you arrive, you are herded through a long line to the concession stand just to by your tickets. Granted I don't think I ever had been to the movies without popcorn and a soda. But usually I get the tickets and my wife gets the concessions. Although the line moved quite quickly. My wife as usual ordered her popcorn and drink. She was handed an empty bag and a empty cup and the cashier said 10.50. I said we need tickets to the movie and she rang them up. 31.50. No problem but usually at this point I had my popcorn and soda and was on my way to the movie. I was already a bit annoyed at this point and explained to the cashier and ask her to speak to a manager. I step to the side and she just ignored me and went to the next customer. Hmmm I though maybe she can't leave her post. So know you stand in another line to get into the theatre. One lonely ticket guy working frantically to take the ticket so we could get in the line to get our popcorn. I ask the popcorn girl to speak with a manager and she pointed to him in the back, I ask if she could get him and she did. My wife is now annoyed with my request thinking I am overreacting, and probably I was. I spoke with him and told him of my disappointment in the change and he told me I could buy the tickets at the kiosks up front if I didn't want to go through the concession. I told him thanks but it was more than that. I watched as my wife trying to get her drink with her other hand on the popcorn without dropping it. I said all good and well the manager was nice about it but I somehow felt cheated. I can watch a good movie at home go the fridge get my drink, and make my popcorn and actually put real butter on it the same way. So we headed to the movie, I though wow ready to set down in a nice new clean theatre an enjoy the movie. So we are walking down a long hallway, and before long I realize we are in the old theatre. I felt a bit scammed. But some close friends recommended the movie And even at my age my wife and i visit 2-3 times a month. Walking into #12 all at once the old smell as you enter reminds you of where you are. Setting down the movie is for 7pm and its 7:08 and just a sign on the screen to turn off you cell phones. Then the previews begin no sound, then sound no screen. Then sound and the wrong screen. This goes on for a good 10 minutes, I see a few people leave and so I figure it will work out. Close to leaving but I really wanted to see the movie and hey first night opening I give the a chance. Eventually the screen goes blank, the the previews and sound align. 30 seconds later the movie begins. I am like cheated out of the previews... I enjoyed the movie, will I go back, maybe I enjoy the movies to much. But when your taking someone special with you for the evening to enjoy a movie, the perks of being served a bit are completely gone from this new theatre. read more

I'm so very disappointed to say the least. Yesterday me and my guy went to the movies as we do every week! We we went to see jumumji. After we bought tickets and popcorn we were informed that the heat was broken and the air was on because they were trying to fix the problem. I really wish they had said this before we purchased tickets then I would have had morre of a choice if I wanted to sit in a ice cold Theatre or not. We wanted to see this movie since it came out and we were just now getting to it so at this point I'm invested. I still have the option not to see this movie and wait or go to Jacksonville or Savannah but why should I have too! I get to the movie theater and it was horrible! It hadn't bet cleaned from the last show! Popcorn, cups and trashy was what I saw! I did go and tell someone but it's only so much they can do and people had already been seated so she picked up the big stuff. Then 30min into the show I wanted to walk out several times because my toes, nose, and face were freezing! If it wasn't for me to happen to have a good winter coat on I would have froze!!! I didn't even eat my popcorn because I didn't eat to get any butter on it at all! There was no taking my coat off to eat it like I usually would. I'm mad because I should have just left but I didn't and no matter how much people complained they weren't trying to take care of their customers! I would have taken a rain check and that wouldn't have been any money out of their pockets because I had already paid! The fact that this company would even allow this movie to play in a dirty cold environment and allow customers to indulge in beyond me! The fact that you took my money then told me about the condition is beyond me!!! People had kids that I'm sure are sick now just from watching the movie in such a cold situation. The theater's exterior looks pretty modern and cool,nice lobby. But as soon as you walk in you see the price for pretty much anything go through the roof! We ordered a number one combo and it contained 2 large drinks, and one large tub of popcorn and it was $17.00. If you ask me it's a little pricie... Very nice since the renovations are complete. The ticket prices are very high, but for an occasional night out, it's worth it. Free refills on all drinks (so order a kids' pack and save a few bucks). Nicely maintained and clean. Lobby could use additional seating for patrons waiting to go into their movies. Overall, a good venue for a night of entertainment. read more

I saw the 2000 showing of Batman vS Superman on Saturday, March 27. I attempted to see it on March 26, but it was sold out. We decided to purchase the tickets for March 27 and were informed that no seat reservations were being taken. We were told to just show up early to get a good seat. We obliged and showed up an hour early to be first in line and get our seats. 10 minutes before our show is about to begin, a family shows up and tells us we are in there seats, that they had reserved them. After we refused to move explaining that there were no reservations for the movie, they got management. After being embarrassed as the movie is about to begin, I had to ask the manager if we could step outside instead of arguing in the theater. The manager just tells me that the clerk who helped us must have made a mistake and that there was nothing she could do. She said we had to vacate our seats and move to our assigned seats. She offered any available seats, but it was sold out. We had separate transactions and were only able to sit together because someone didn't show up for the movie. I was angry because we live 45 minutes away and made it a point to attend your theater, twice,and showed up early and was still treated second rate. My wife had to explain to our son that we had to move and move all our things to our "new" seats in the dark as the previews were running. I fully understand that mistakes happen, and this is clearly that case. I also believe that how we attempt to fix our mistakes defines us. We drove 45 minutes both ways two days in a row, spent nearly $60, and showed up an hour early only to be kicked out of our seats, embarrassed, and told "there's nothing we can do, you have to move". My family and I were treated poorly and I am asking how you can fix what was supposed to be a great experience at your theater. If this is how we can expect mistakes to be handled at your theater, we will not be returning. I have attempted to contact the theater via email several times but have been unable to get through. This is a 1 star only because I cannot give 0. read more

If you attend the cinemas here be sure to check your ticket stub twice and prepare to be harassed by management. My husband and I wanted to bring my stepdaughter to the IMAX to see Beauty & the Beast at a nice cinema. As usual when we come we found a place to sit. Unlike other times before we were asked to move, not once but twice then told to stand. Mind you I'm pregnant and nauseas really not feeling up for a movie, but came for the sake of my stepdaughter. All this harassment happened while my husband had excused himself to the restroom. Unfortunately for us he had our tickets that management accused us of not having. Not even being allowed to sit and wait for him, I'm absolutely enraged. I've never received such horrible treatment in all my years of coming to this theater. Oh how times have changed and quite frankly not for the better. I think from now own we will be visiting The Strand Jesup theater instead where southern hospitality is a given and dinner is also served. I am no longer a fan of the New Brunswick GTX theater and would not recommend it anymore to friends and family. read more
