Their ice cream is hand crafted using Montana dairy and a selection of quality ingredients from the mountains West and beyond. It's a small shop with tables outside. Limited seating. When we got there, we had to wait for a while for them to open, even though they were supposed to be open. Straight up one of the best ice cream shops I've been to ever, which is saying something given the amount of ice cream I consume on a weekly basis. I loved the unique flavors and how they got the creamy texture just right. We bought multiple pints to eat that night lol. If you're coming through town definitely give this spot a try. Huckleberry ice cream for the win! Yes, it's a thing in Montana and it's a pretty damn good thing. Get huckleberry everything, especially huckleberry ice cream from Sweet Peaks Ice Cream. We of course had to try Sweet Peaks Ice Cream on our first night in Montana. We were happy to learn that the Kalispell shop was open later, which allowed us to try their famous ice cream. Located in downtown Kalispell, it's a welcoming spot with plenty of outdoor seating, including a rooftop area that's dog-friendly. Their other shops are located throughout Montana, and one in Spokane. I ordered a huckleberry and s'mores split scoop, which was great. I normally love s'mores, so had to try it while here, but it was totally blown out of the water by the huckleberry flavor. I mean, there's no really no need to get any other flavor besides huckleberry. You won't regret it. The ice cream had actual huckleberries in it and was the perfect consistency of cream and huckleberries. I only wish Sweet Peaks was closer to me; but hey, the nearest one in Spokane is another reason for some eastern Washington hiking adventures! By chance, we stumbled across Sweet Peaks after taking a walk around downtown Kalispell after dinner. There were so many creative flavors to choose from and we were compelled to select Montana flavors. I had a kids scoop size of the lemon ice cream with huckleberry jam. It was so perfect, creamy, fluffy, and the flavors were not too tart and also a bit of sweetness from the jam. I also tried the huckleberry ice cream which tasted a lot like blueberry to me. We learned later that many other establishments in the Glacier area proudly serve the ice cream from this local shop. read more
