This was my first time trying Sweet Peppers. I was going back and forth on getting a Rueben sandwich or trying their Italian sliders. I decided on the sliders and they did not disappoint. I like how they have a kiosk for self ordering if you don't want to go to the counter: I also got a cup of the crawfish bisque, it wasn't bad. The one star is for one simple reason. I love Sweet Peppers and the staff. I have tried three times in a row over a period of a month to order a loaded potato. Every time they have been out! I thought the first two times were just a weird coincidence but three times not so sure. This was the first time to ever eat at this establishment, anywhere. I was definitely not impressed. The food is mediocre at best. I had a Pick 2 with half a club sandwich and creamy chicken noodle. The soup tastes like it came from a can, which I'm sure it did...very little flavor. The service was less than average. The person at the counter could care less if I was helped or not. Cold and non-engaged. I guess I should have used the self-service kiosk. At least there would have been no expectation of a pleasant experience. Their fresh salad, soups, potatoes, flatbreads, and sandwiches come in such a variety that it's easy to eat healthy or totally indulge depending on what you feel like! They make their dressings in house and they have some delicious desserts (the chocolate explosion cheesecake is my favorite). The tables are always clean and they have plenty of seating so it's easy to sit back and relax while waiting for your food. I highly recommend! read more

We ordered DoorDash because my sister was in the hospital and we needed the food delivered. The food was cold, the tea was all unsweetened, we had no lemon, and there was hair in my sister's soup. To say we were upset is an understatement. She hadn't eaten in 2 days and wanted that soup. I have not been to pepper's in Tupelo in a long time because the food and service just isn't good anymore. I haven't been to Peppers in at least 10 years. I was back in town for a few days and wanted to check it out. Wow! They remodeled and it looks fantastic! We came here for lunch after the lunch crowd so no lines and plenty of tables to pick from. It's the kind of place you order at the counter and then find a table. A server will bring you your food. Some of the menu items are the same from what I can remember me it looked like they had some new ones. I ordered the Pick Two. Chicken Waldorf salad and the white bbq chicken sandwich. My SO got the Waldorf salad and the crawfish and my mom got the taco salad. Rod was our waiter. If you ever come here, I hope you are lucky enough to have Rod. He was nice, attentive, and very energetic. Everything you want in a waiter. The food came out pretty quick. The Waldorf salad was very good. The bbq sandwich was ok. The flavor just wasn't all that. That's the only reason I'm not giving them a 5 star. My SO and my mom both really enjoyed their food. My mom is the pickiest person I know and Rod was able to keep her happy. I wasn't expecting this place to be this nice. Tupelo is a very small town , but very nice , this place really surprised me. Very clean , very nice place , and great food. They have GF options, and great sweet tea . I got the chicken club and it was amazing. Everything is fresh and just like I ordered . My husband got the Cuban panini and he says it was amazing. Peppers is one of our go to places for lunch on Sunday. However, when we went today, I noticed that the portions are smaller. And as usual, I ordered a slice of cheesecake and carrot cake to go for dessert for my wife and I for later. However, I didn't receive a slice of cheesecake or Carrot cake. I received a sliver of each. I would expect this kind of service from chain restaurants. But, not from a local owned business. I would be happy to pay extra to receive what the normal is. But instead they want to charge the same price and give you less. I understand prices go up and that's perfectly acceptable. But it is unacceptable to receive less for the same amount. I work for a ministry that has been in Tupelo since last Wednesday. My boss wasn't feeling well and we were on the hunt for a soothing soup. Passing by on our way to Walmart to get provisions for him. Our hotel didn't have microwaves so we needed something served hot. Going in, I was navigating a grumpy boss and the menu. Carlie was my point of contact and she was friendly and helpful. In fact, I was helped by Andrew, and I think her name is Susie, a very sweet and kind older lady. All three helped me get what I needed. I will say that the back of the house was not very concerned about fulfilling my order, Andrew kept having to asking for the individual things I paid for. There was a guy with a beard or long hair. Who just stood there on the line in the kitchen, and a woman who was stocking cups up above the pass through window. It seemed like my order was not their problem. That would be a problem. Good customer service is hard to come by. The food was great, and my boss seems 100% himself. I'm really enjoying the hummus right now as we head to Memphis. Andrew was courteous and kind to me, making sure I had everything I needed. If we're back in Tupelo again we'll definitely stop by. I used to come here all the time and I forgot just how good it is. I had the plain baked potato with the garden salad while my daughter had the Cajun shrimp wrap with fruit, and I must say it was delicious. Been eating here for years and it's always been great. First time since the remodel and the atmosphere is better than ever. Love the menu and always had friendly service at this location. I had the smoked cheddar melt which was great. Wife had the Cuban panini and a loaded potato which she said were "wonderful." Think Newks but bigger and better, not so modern/vegan/hipster crowd and similar to McAllister's but more vibrant and better menu in my opinion. Very roomy with several tables for 8-9 guests also several tables on two sides of the building. Slightly costly for my cheapness, but only a few bucks more than fast food at $23 for the wife and I (she ate value $8 and I did not $11). Stood at the pick up/to go window inside for a while, employees kept walking passed me, didn't get offer help, had to ask.

Service was great, chips and rotel was also good. What wasn't good was the bayou shrimp flatbread, barely anything on it, barely any cheese, it was more of a large cracker with a few shrimp and a little bit of pico.
