I've only been in this place twice - because everyone deserves a second change! That being said - chances of a third visit is slim. I purchased cut out cookies, because yes I was too lazy to make them myself and everything in this place looked scrumptious! However, I was surprised when the cookies turned out to be extremely dry and didn't come close to my wife's homemade cookies! Though everything looks great - I found that the three items that I have purchased don't measure up to most bakery goods and yet the price IMO was high! You can normally find parking though there is not a whole lot of it available, another sign that maybe this bakery needs to up their game. I'm pretty sure they accept credit cards, but you might want to call ahead and find out because most don't carry enough cash to buy much here. The staff/owner is outstanding though - she believes in her goods and she is genuinely a very nice person to talk to - probably the reason she is still in business because service and friendliness go along way in this area and with me. read more

This bakery supplied the mass amount of Italian cookies that were ordered for my boyfriend's brother's wedding. They were so delicious that my mother (who got to try a few) requested I get some of these Italian cookies for our annual St. Joseph's Day dinner this year. I am glad she did because they were a big hit, and everyone raved about them. I am not a big pastry person, but I do know that these are some of the best Italian cookies around. The shop is located on Route 5 out in Dunkirk, but it was well worth the drive from Buffalo. We took a ride out, the weather was gorgeous, and the baker gave us two roadie cookies for our drive back. They were extremely friendly, they had our cookies ready to go, nicely packaged, and we will definitely go back! FYI: The fig cookies are the best. read more

I've seen so many businesses come and go in the area that it's a shock that Sweet Perfections is still around. Admittedly, before the other day, I had never been here. When we drive by, it looks completely empty. Just a bright pink building that no one seems to check out. Needless to say we checked it out and quite happy that we did! The owner was extremely friendly and talked to us about her baked goods and how business was doing. Overall, a very pleasant woman to talk to. She's also very proud of her small business, so that's always refreshing to see. We got a couple of cut-out cookies, a couple brownies, and Italian Wedding cookies. There's nothing too extraordinary about her baked goods. Her cut-out cookies weren't that great, but the brownies were perfect and gooey, with what seemed like a bit of cherry filling inside of it. The Italian Wedding cookie stole the show; it was chocolate and had a hint of walnuts in it, but you couldn't taste them. Very well made cookie. I found out later that my Grandma always used to get her coffee cakes from here when we were younger! As I write this, I'm craving a piece (even though I haven't had it in years) so you know it has to be good. read more

Sweet P is my go to bakery and has wow'ed guest from coast to coast. Cakes are moist and flavorful, and the frosting is the perfect balance of sweet, creamy, rich and light. They can aways be counted on to have a good fresh selection although not a huge one. Great service. Real pros for a small shop. Muffins, pies, breads and holiday goodies at really good prices. read more
