back again... kinda stinks but where else are you gonna go with your various unmentionables?? gotta…read morehave a sticker on your windshield to use the facilities because, well, you know, local taxes pay for this (and tipping fees... local taxes and tipping fees pay for this.) sticker arrives with the property tax notice so keep an eye out for it and when it arrives it's supposed to be attached in the lower driver's side corner of the windshield, anywhere else and you will be subject to mockery and taunting by the staff (it's all good natured fun so just play along and promise to do better next year.) they'll accept pretty much all your household waste here and all they ask is that you bin it properly: scrap metals, lawn waste, construction debris, cardboards, glass (in two flavors: clear and brown), tin cans, limited quantities of used motor oil, appliances, and regular trash. even if you have curbside waste pickup you should stop in at least once annually since you're funding it. not quite as fun as the actual dump on an autumn day but there's also not so many large rodents to contend with either.

Was appreciative that they were able to come out to my storage unit on short notice on a Saturday…read moreafternoon. Glad that they took care of my needs but left me a bad case of buyer's remorse at the final cost. I was expecting at most to pay the $750 full load charge but was hit with two surcharges based upon ostensibly the weight/size of several items and the need to utilize a small portion of a 2nd truck. These surcharges were communicated and took the total cost close to $1200 and all for a 10x20 storage unit that was only 75% full. Besides the surcharges, I was disappointed by two things. First the need for a 2nd truck. Items were thrown in haphazardly which if organized better it could have all fit in the 1st truck. Secondly, I naively thought that that furniture items that could be easily repurposed would be donated elsewhere. An antique bench, schoolhouse student desk and another desk were thrown into the truck and I am sure ultimately a landfill somewhere. They were convenient and fast, but far too expensive. I will not use them again, nor can I recommend them. No apology or further contact is necessary unless it comes with a partial refund. Otherwise it is just lip service.

From my perspective I would strongly recommend going with a different company. Vixster has a…read morestrict policy of only taking trash that is in a bag. If you put a loose pizza box, a wine bottle, or a plastic container in the can they will not take it. This is a particularly difficult policy to enforce if you rent out your property. They do not use a traditional garbage truck. It is someone with a pick up, they grab the bags out of the can, and put it in the bed of their truck. So, I understand why they have this policy, but it just does not work for us. We signed up in March and have had multiple issues where they don't take the trash so we pay someone else to come put it in a bag. Even if there are three bags on the bottom, but their is a pizza box on top, they leave everything behind. Also, they do not advise you it was left behind, so if you do rent, and are not their consistently it can build up over time. It is now July and have decided we need to switch to a different company. We found ASAP Site Services that uses a traditional garbage truck so this will no longer be an issue. We asked Vixster to cancel our service and issue a prorated refund for the 7 months they will no longer need to service us. They stated they do not issue any refunds once service started. We chose to pay the full year up front and they think it is fair to keep the full amount even though they won't have to do anything for the last 7 months. We believe this is an unfair policy and there are no contracts where we agreed to this. I highly recommend you think about what type of garbage service you want before using Vixster. It just did not suit our needs and are very disappointed on their policies. This photo is an example after they serviced us. B/C the Krispy Kreme box was touching the bag, they left all of it there.

DO NOT DO IT. They NEVER pick up on time. They NEVER take all the trash or recycling they are…read moresupposed to. They skip weeks and weeks and weeks with no communication or they lie and say your trash will be picked up and then you don't take it to the dump and it accumulates. It's been 3 weeks since my trash has been picked up and they regularly go two weeks without picking it up or even longer. We are sorry, our hauler had issues with their vehicle. NOT the customers problem. etc. etc. on and on. Well if you can't run a business and find people to do the job. Close the business. Lying, bad communication, false advertising, employees that are sketchy and with attitude (yes they have some good ones too)
